My book comes out in September, and I need your help.

Hello writing (and reading) community! So here’s the thing. I am about to drop my debut novel, which is pretty exciting. But I can’t do it on my own. As someone who didn’t go the traditional route, I need all the help I can get to spread the word as soon as possible- and in the end, you’ll be doing more good than you think, as initial profits will help a child struggling with leukemia (no reviews required- but are always appreciated!). Because finding a new book and kicking cancer’s butt are both cool. Right? Right.

There is a street where Halloween lives every day, whose residents are as magical as the place itself. This street is called Maple, and is home to some of the most famous staples of the holiday we’ve come to know and love. But over the years, stories of these creatures have been skewed.

As it turns out, witches aren’t warty old women (for two-thirds of the day), and werewolves don’t need the full moon to go hunting. Vampires hoard their antique treasures worse than any dragon, and mummies see more than most when they walk the woods at night. Someone has to take these stories to the world of humans.

That is why they’ve hired a human to help them set the record straight.

But there is a slight catch: the storyteller is a grown-up. Once written, all that’s said will fade from its author’s mind, and there will be nothing left but the memory passed on by its reader. It is up to you, dear reader, to bear this weight. And who knows? You may find friends waiting for you.
