Mutant Manhunt Leo! 2 out of 3 done in the lineup let's gooo
Still super busy, still not much I've finished besides Leo's redesign, so have a couple fun facts under the cut about ur favorite fearless leader(?)
Kinda human-avoidant like Donnie, but not to the same extent. Sure, he'll avoid them whenever possible but he does the same for everyone, yokai included. Plus April is cool so humans must not be all bad
Defaults to planning missions as the established tactitian, and due to a severe lack of Raph aka the tank of the team, they default to stealth and trickery rather than smashing their way in. Makes things more high-stakes and interesting, but not nearly as fun in Mikey's opinion
Also likes going on trips to the city like Mikey, but mostly does so to look for crime in need of stopping. He imagines himself and his brothers as the heroes of the city, doing a thankless job for the unsuspecting citizens until the day their greatness and awesomeness is recognized (he wants to be a badass ninja warrior so bad you guys)
The closest to Splinter, and the quickest to disregard his past actions. Mostly because he understands Splinter was going through a major mental breakdown. He says it's all in the past and that they shouldn't hold it against him, especially now that he's doing better, but Donnie and Mikey aren't all that convinced...
"it's not a big deal" Sometimes your best friend is the grim reaper. It's fun until it isn't.
Grim reaper Casey AU that i will eventually try to make a fanfic for.
bonus doodle + info under the cut.
by the way, when i say "eventually" i mean when i can actually make something coherent out of the series of stupid scenarios i've imagined, some of them include:
mikey asks if casey has any cool grim reaper powers (caseys says he sorta does, none he would consider "cool" though)
leo asks if he can kill people with said powers (caseys says "only reap them when they already die" he's partly lying)
donnie asks if this means there is an afterlife (casey doesn't answer, i don't think he really knows)
and the most important one:
raph tries to wrestle him ala Thor trying to fight an old lady that ends up being old age itself (raph loses, predictably, you don't just fight death, dude)
overall this is a pretty self explanatory au, Casey Jones is in reality the grim reaper, he probably doesn't even do anything cool with that fact and instead finds joy in the mundane of life, why would he hang out in the mortal plane if he didn't?
(he doesn't know how to, in the end he doesn't care much and found a way to appreciate the world he finds himself in)
and hey, you can give a direct explanation to his disdain of rats.
(i believe this version of casey has quite the appreciation of the living, so he tries to play small parts in their world to help them, by incarnating as a teenage boy apparently, the turtles often play a major role on the world's survival so it makes sense that he'd want to keep a close eye on them)
in the end everything stays pretty much the same, except for the horrors of existencial dread this reveal might unearth, don't worry about it.
Yeah sex is cool and all but have you ever watched a show about colored coded teenaged mutant turtles who are ninjas and saying outdated 80s slang while eating pizza in New York sewers?
“Check this out”
as someone who used to obsess w/ like logging switches and knowing everything that was going on in the system all the time im telling you it’s not worth the stress and it’s okay to just like chill out like not knowing who’s fronting is fine, not knowing who fronted a certain day is fine, not knowing who’s co-con/co-front is fine. dw about logging every single little thing 👍
Check out my ongoing comic Crow Time. It has crows, and also neat pantheons of epic beasties.
