actually the timeline of riverdale is everything. riverdale was founded in the 1940s, but riverdale also existed as a town in 1890. jason and cheryl are twins but jason is a senior while cheryl is a sophomore. the coopers and blossoms became separate families in very recent history but there is an existing line of coopers in the 1800s. the witch trails also existed in the 1800s. archie was born in 1995 but is the same age as jughead, who was born in 2001. the lodge family didn't exist until hiram decided to change his name in high school and invent them, making him the oldest lodge ancestor. fp joined the serpents to escape his dad, but his dad is also a serpent, but his dad is also a simple writer holed up in the woods. the smith family is from the south side but also no theyre not. wwi happened recently enough that archie was able to fight in the trenches after graduating high school. the thornhill we see in season six is the same one the blossoms were living in during the 1800s, but cheryl also burned it down and rebuilt it junior year. seven years have passed since their highschool graduation in either 2019 or 2020 but the current year is 2021. and that's barely even scratching the surface.

33 - "I love you" Aiden/Lambert. Short but sweet!!

Aiden had been in one of his slightly manic moods all day, to the point where he'd probably be able to give Geralt's Bard a run for his money with his jokes and his dramatics. Luckily for him, Lambert had moved past the urge to shove him into the nearest body of water (mainly because they hadn't come across any for the last few hours) and had tried to settle into silent indifference. Unluckily, this also meant that Aiden had doubled his efforts in order to get some sort of reaction.

They were sat at their campfire, Aiden giggling as Lambert discovered his latest practical joke. Wild flowers tied around one of the spare daggers Lambert kept in his pack (he didn't even try to figure out when Aiden had managed that), the handle no longer visible due the the foliage. He shook his head, giving a long suffering sigh through his nose as he lazily pointed the dagger at the Cat.

"You're lucky I love you."

"What?"

"What?" Lambert froze. Shit. He'd said that out loud.

He ducked his head, pretending to busy himself with trying to untie a clump of small blue flowers as Aiden's boots came into view, the Cat taking the blade and tilting Lambert's chin, encouraging him to look at him.

"Want me to pretend I didn't hear that?"

Lambert rested his hands on Aiden's waist, taking a moment to admire the way the firelight danced in his eyes.

"...No."

i don't know if there is a single fandom for whom i have more admiration than the inception girlies. like damn. the main ship has literally 2:23 seconds of screen time together (and that's including times they aren't actually interacting, one is simply mentioning the other) and i know the fandom is not solely this one ship -- the film itself is basically custom build for fandom in terms of the potential world building and development of characters who are mostly composed of clever inferences and powered by charismatic performance -- but still. 2 minutes 23 seconds from a film that came out 13 years ago and the fandom (while obviously smaller/less active than it's peak era) is still going strong. you guys are indestructible gremlins of creativity, god-tier meta, and (fittingly for a fandom that arguably originated in a livejournal kink meme) deeply deeply horny. i respect and fear you all.
