Okay, here we go! The moment you’ve all been waiting for!
Exactly one year ago today, I shared with you the newly developed Women’s Football Matches Database. It started off at just 756 matches which was an incredible achievement. But today I’m happy to announce that the database stands at over 4000 matches!
I’ve been working really hard on it for the past few weeks to get it to this milestone ready for today. And also been working with the amazing @vacsoe to give it the new layout and look that it has now. It’s not perfect, not by a long shot, but I’m so so proud of it and I’m happy that everyone has been enjoying it over this past year.
I just want to thank all the support I have had with the database. You have all be incredible and I am eternally grateful for all your comments, advice and help with making this happen.
And the even more exciting news is that this is nowhere near every single match available online, especially as more matches happen and investment in the women’s game means more matches are streamed and televised. This database will keep growing and growing and we can easily hit 5000 by the end of this year, and go even further.
You’ve all been amazing, and I want to thank you all once again. And I hope you keep on enjoying!
