main character to the CORE!

we’ve all heard of the “main character” until this point. we’ve all wanted to be the main character. but who is the main character? the main character is a person who does everything right, who’s always in the right place at the right time, who has the perfect love life, perfect friends, perfect looks, a thrilling life, a supportive family, is very confident, loved and looked up to by everyone, and last but not least, successful.

as i said, we all want to be the main character of our life. we don’t want to live a passive life, watching others get ahead with their lives and get what we want most, while we’re feeling like outsiders in our own story. but, i have very, very good news for you. you can be the main character! yes, you heard my right. you can be the main character. so, manifest that you are! here’s how i would do it:

first of all, i’d work on my self concept, to get that confidence that every main character needs to feel good about themselves and accomplish all their dreams! i’d affirm that “i always get what i want”, “i’m perfect and respected”, “everything i want is already mine”!

then, if i felt like my physical looks needed a glow up, i’d manifest one! some of the affirmations i would use are “i have a perfect body”, “i look like a dream come true”, “my face is beautiful and ethereal”, “i look like a greek god/goddess”!

of course, a main character needs good friends. to manifest perfect friends, i’d affirm: “i have a perfect friend group”, “all my friends are really supportive”, “my friends are always there for me when i need them”, “i have many good friends”, “all my friends are very funny and sweet”!

a main character also needs support at home. so, if you want to manifest a supportive family, affirm things like: “my family is very supportive”, “my family is always there for me”, “i feel loved and understood by my family”!

now, about the love life: a main character doesn’t need a significant other to feel complete! however, if you want one, this is an example of what you could affirm: “i have the most perfect partner ever”, “my parter loves me endlessly”, “my partner loves me and supports me through thick and thin”!

lastly, a main character achieves their dreams! manifest your dreams! whether it’s being a singer, actor, doctor, lawyer, veterinarian, living in new york, going to the moon, or do a one month trip in asia, manifest it!!!

manifest your main character life, and watch how your life will turn into a literal movie! <3

how to ignore outer circumstances that haven't aligned with your manifestation yet?

you don't have to believe the 3D. you are allowed to observe your 3D but you don't have to acknowledge it or give it any importance because it is simply the result of your old thoughts. in your new mindset, there's no place for the crappy old story or any 3D circumstance created by it.

circumstances are malleable. they can change at any moment & they don't matter!!! changing your thoughts will eventually change how the circumstance shows up in your reality.

keep affirming. it doesn't matter if you believe your affirmations, say them anyway. have 2-3 go-to affirmations & loop them. they don't have to be painfully robotic, feel free to change the words as you feel comfortable.

do not doubt your ability to manifest. this entire law depends on your beliefs! you are a powerful creator, never ever doubt the enormous amount of power your thoughts hold.

partial manifestations or manifestations that haven't occurred yet are not failed manifestations, keep affirming till you get the exact output you visualised! don't get discouraged by hiccups! this is literally a law, it is always working. keep persisting and being faithful to your mental diet. there's no way it won't work!

work on your self love and self concept. self-concept is not necessarily required to manifest but it helps you build confidence and stability when it comes to battling old stories, doubts & fears. it gives you confidence to trust your manifesting process.

stop waiting around. stop trying to manifest signs or confirmation 'if your affirmations are working!' - all this implies lack & insecurity! your job is simply to choose your desired reality and persist in it. you don't have to manipulate the 3D or even figure out how/when it will happen! TRUST YOURSELF FOR ONCE that what you're doing is working! who cares when it's gonna show up, you're gonna be as happy if it shows up tomorrow than you will be if it shows up two months later. what's a little persisting in front of getting to experience the feeling of finally having your desire?!

keep an open mind. anything can happen any moment. keep persisting, knowing that you don't give into old thought patterns & only put your energy into the new story!

Magical Journaling

image

When we think of a witch’s tools, we usually think of cauldrons, brooms, and jars filled with herbs. But for modern witches, one of the most powerful tools available is a blank journal. The journal can be an altar, a workspace, a diary, and a grimoire all in one.

Creating a Magical Journaling Practice

One of the benefits of this type of magic is that it doesn’t require a lot of tools and materials. However, there are a few things you may choose to include:

A journal, notebook, or binder. Having a physical journal for your magical practice can help to ground your magic into the physical world. Find a journal or notebook that speaks to you — this could be a composition book from the dollar store, or an elaborate leather bound journal. I highly recommend using a physical book, but if you are unable to keep a physical journal dedicated to your witchcraft, you can absolutely keep one in a Google Doc, a Microsoft Word document, or the Notes app on your phone.

Colored pens, pencils, or markers. These are a great way to include the magic of color in your journal. (See this post for info on magical color correspondences.) Writing your spells in a color that matches your intention can add an extra layer of power.

Stickers, photos, and drawings. This adds a visual component to your written spells. Just like you add things to a physical ritual based on their magical correspondences, you can use images of those things to add energy to journal spells.

A Daily Intention-Setting Ritual

This method of magical journaling is based on an exercise from Lisa Marie Basile’s book, The Magical Writing Grimoire.

In the morning, before you start your day, write your intention for the day ahead. This should be written in the present tense, and phrased in the positive — it’s about what you are doing, not what you’re stopping or trying to quit. Your intention can be anything, mental, emotional, or physical. (For example: “I am opening myself to love in all its many forms.”)

In the evening, before you go to bed, write down what you worked on that day. This can be anything you did that you feel nourished you, and it may or may not be related to your intention from the morning. (For example: “I used mindfulness meditation to become aware of my own vastness.”)

Living with intention makes you more aware of your actions and can be a form of magic in itself. You daily intentions can become positive affirmations that you can repeat throughout your day, drawing strength from the words.

Using a Journal to Cast Spells

You can cast spells on the page of your journal, with nothing more than a pen and paper.

There are four basic parts to every spell: your will, your intention, focused energy, and a ritual action. All of these components can be brought into a journaling session. Your will is your personal magical and spiritual authority — you use your will simply by being aware of it. Your intention is a clear statement of what you want to get out of your spell — in journal magic, this is typically written on the page. By directing your attention to what you are writing, you are focusing your energy. And finally, a ritual action is any act performed in a ritualistic manner — in this case, that act is writing.

When casting a journal spell, it’s best to do your work in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. You might choose to light a candle or burn incense to help set a spiritual/magical mood, or you might not. I recommend meditating on your intention for a few moments before you begin, in order to help focus your energy.

What you actually write is up to you. It could be a simple, straightforward statement of intention, a detailed description of what you want, or even a poem. Feel free to experiment with different methods to see what feels right for you.

Journaling with Sigils and Runes

You can incorporate sigils, runes, and other sacred symbols into your journal, or use them as spells by themselves.

I’ve talked a little bit about runes in a previous post, but here’s a quick refresher: “runes” typically refer to the symbols used in Germanic alphabets before they were replaced by the Latin alphabet. The oldest Germanic rune system, and the one most widely used in magic, is the Elder Futhark. Other Germanic runic alphabets include the Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon runes, which are both descended from the Elder Futhark. There are other alphabets that are used for similar purposes in magic, like the Irish Ogham. The use of these symbols in magic comes from the ancient idea that writing is inherently magical. Both the Germanic runes and the Ogham alphabet were believed to be sacred by the people who originally used them. Because of this, the runes aren’t merely letters — each symbol has a set of spiritual meanings associated with it as well.

The nice thing about runes is that, for the most part, we have a good idea of what they meant — so learning the runes can be as simple as purchasing a book and memorizing meanings. They’re also tied to ancient belief systems, which makes them a potent source of magical power.

You can use the runes in your magical journal in a couple of different ways. You can draw the appropriate runes in the borders around your spell, or write them over your spell in a different colored ink to add their power to your words. You can also use the runes alone as a form of magic. For this, speak or chant the name of the rune as you write it, and then spend a few moment focusing on it, visualizing your goal, and charging the rune with your intent.

Sigils are a little bit different. Unlike runes, sigils are created on the spot, so the meaning of a sigil is usually only known to the person who designed it. This means that, rather than learning established meanings, you’re creating a new magical symbol with a unique meaning every time you draw a new sigil. Because of this, sigils are directly linked to your will, which makes them powerful conductors of magic.

Here’s a common method for designing a sigil: Write a word or phrase that represents your goal or desire. Cross out all the vowels and/or all repeating letters. Now, use the remaining letters (the ones that haven’t been marked out) to create a design, adding artistic flourishes as you see fit. It’s okay to get creative with this, and it’s okay if the shape of the letters isn’t obvious in the final sigil. For example: if I wanted to create a sigil to manifest wealth, I might start with the phrase “I have more money than I know what to do with.” I then cross out all vowels and repeating letters, leaving me with, “v r y k w d.” Using the shape of these letters as a starting point, I create an artistic design that carries the intention of the original statement.

Sigils are usually used on their own to conduct magic. Draw the sigil in a color that matches your intention (for my wealth sigil, I would use green). As you draw, focus on your intent and feel your energy moving through the pen, charging the sigil. You can leave the finished sigil in your journal, tear the page out and place it on your altar, or display it somewhere you’ll see it often.

Sigils are especially useful for witches who need to keep their practice a secret, because they can be disguised as simple doodles.

Crystal Knot Magic

Crystal Knot Magic

Knotting a crystal net is very easy if you are able to use your fingers for this kind of crafting.

They are often called crystal "wraps" and many tutorials can be found on Youtube.

There are many, many ways to make a crystal net. The style you use determines the final appearance. More importantly for us, the style you use determines how many knots there will be, and their size.

We can draw on four common elements of magic: Crystal/mineral correspondences, color correspondences, numerology, and knot magic.

The stone (or other object) is like the battery which holds and radiates power. The object you net should correspond to your core intent.

The color of cord or thread you use can modify or hone your intent. For example, if using clear quartz, the color correspondence might be doing most of the work.

Then again, this spell will work with cotton twine and a river stone, so just do whatever suits you.

The total number of cords you use dictates how many knots total will exist in your spell. Crystal nets are made by tying two strands of cord together. If you use four cords, you will have eight working ends, and therefore you will tie four knots per row. If you have five cords, you will have ten working ends, and you will need to tie five knots per row. I align my numerology to the number of knots, not strands, because the knots themselves are holding the magic.

The knots are used to tie intent and bind power. I create most of my charms in a style that has one big starter knot at the top and one big finishing knot at the bottom. There are tons of ways to utilize knots in this project. The first knot can hold the only intent, while the rest bind powers to support it. Or the intent can be split into its composite parts and each part gets its own knot. Or every single knot can have something unique, or they can all be identical... lots of options.

Conceptually, the inner object is the focal point or battery of the spell. The knots can be understood as tools that the object uses to carry out your will, instructions to guide the object in its work, vessels that carry additional power (like tidepools on a beach), or tangles that capture and bind up unwanted forces.

To perform this sort of magic:

1. Learn how to make the nets first from an arts and crafts perspective :) you can cut the cording off to re-use the same stone later. It is really frustrating to try and do a craft in a ritual headspace if you have to learn the craft simultaneously!

2. Gather up your cording and object to be netted. Do any ritual techniques you prefer to prepare them.

3. Decide how you want your intent to be tied in. Do you want to use the same phrase for each knot? Do you want to chant your intent continuously while you do many knots? Etc.

4. Make the crystal net in your ritual headspace/magic zone. Pour your intent into each knot in whatever methods you choose.

5. I recommend making the final knot of your project into the seal which completes and finishes the amulet ("so mote it be," "as my will it has been done," etc).

6. If you did not raise and direct energy during the spell, ensure the amulet is charged afterwords. Like all amulets and talismans, it requires feeding and repowering as time goes on.

Setting an intention = deciding to do something.

Stop overthinking intentions! By definition, intention means, "a thing intended; an aim or plan". Setting an intention is simply just deciding to do something.

"I'm going to eat an apple right now" = a set intention

"I'm going to shift right now" = a set intention

"I'm going to finish my homework" = a set intention

Setting an intention is literally just deciding to do something when you want to. That's all it is! So stop overthinking it! You don't need to meditate and do 100 backflips to set an intention. Literally just make a decision. That's it.

"I'm going to shift. I'm going to manifest. I'm going to the void" yadda yadda and so on and so forth. Those are all set intentions. Just make the decision to do something and chill. I know it seems really easy, and that's because it is. It's not supposed to be hard!

A little success story for the anon that was struggling with revising test scores: I revised a test score AFTER I had been given a bad grade and still ended up changing it to an outstanding score lmao. I think the biggest thing there for me was that I wasn't doing it specifically to change the score but just to feel better. My mindset was "I deserve to tell myself a story that makes me happy" and like 2 minutes after affirming that my teacher texted me saying my score changed

Amazing!!

life is a game.
