Yknow, when you keep insisting that adults can’t enjoy fandom or play video games or what cartoons or whatever, it’s other young people that you’re hurting the most. Because the most you’ll do to adults is offend or annoy them with that nonsense, but when you plant that idea in a kid’s head, they grow older with the horrible dread looming over them that the things that bring them happiness and comfort have an expiration date. When I was a young adult, I was genuinely depressed about the thought of getting older because I thought I couldn’t keep enjoying all my hobbies, like I had to give up everything I enjoy once I reach [x] age.

And that is simply not true. It’s bullshit. But the harm is does to people is very real. Kids are so afraid of getting older, and one of the big fears is that their life will become painfully bland and boring once they hit adulthood, as if all adults do is work and pay taxes, possibly raise kids. No more fun, no whimsy, no playfulness, no joy.

Anyway, I’m 33 and I love video games and fanfiction and cartoons. If you tell me I’m too old for that stuff, I’ll roll my eyes and block you and go on with my day. But I will worry about the 17 year old who saw your post too and feels a sinking in their chest at the thought that they have to give up the stuff that makes them happy. THAT’S what bothers me.

Please stop trigger tagging with #epilepsy tw/cw/warning/etc.

I go into the tag for epilepsy and its all flashing lights. We can’t use our own tag because people without epilepsy fill it up with improper warnings.

Use ‘flashing’ in place of ‘epilepsy’ in your tags. You aren’t warning people of epileptics, you’re warning us of flashing lights. Please please tag properly. Epileptics say this endlessly and constantly and it’s ignored. You are risking lives by doing this.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.

Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.

i haven't posted an original post in a while but im kinda in a financial pickle and ive been trying to move out for months, but also I haven't worked in a few weeks bc we had a covid scare and my phone bill is due soon.

also ive gotten tired of the game and would rather just take the characters and create a better story than what the devs have given us. i DO have lore ive been working on that makes much more sense than whatever the hell solmare has been pushing and retconning, and i have so many ideas i could run with and share but that'd take concentration i don't have dkdnjdjd

but anyway. if you guys would like to help out you can send me a coffee and for like. $15 i can do a rough bust sketch for you! I mainly will do Obey Me, Genshin Impact, and OCs if you provide me with references, but if you give me a character from somewhere else just tell me the full name and where they're from. It'd mean a lot, even if you just share this around.
