Sentai’s Megazord
😂😂😂😂
Man, I can’t believe ToQger vs Kyoryuger came out in America already.
One of the aspects I want to focus more on once the main part of the live-blog is over is the different aspects of Hammy’s character we get to see in this episode and, in general, in the series so far.
As I’m writing this episode 4 just aired, so the idea I’m trying to convey are partially influenced by further development in the story that, of course, are not understandable if only this episode is taken into account. I indeed feel that it is a pity for the show to have such a little number of female characters (2 out of 9, possibly 11 or 13 main rangers); nevertheless, I also want to believe that, especially in the case of Hammy, the writers are trying to fix quantity with quality, by giving us a complex and potentially more rounded and realistic character.
I especially like how Hammy seems to always oscillate between a carefree, cheerful and dynamic persona to a more worried and somehow pessimistic attitude. This is not only true in the wake of the team’s defeat on Jigama; her disbelief in regards to Lucky’s absurd stunts from last episode, while primarily being an assessment of her more rational point of view on things if compared to the others, can also be interpreted, IMHO, as an indication of her lack of confidence in this whole Kyuranger thing.
This does not mean that Hammy is not devoted to her cause as a member of the rebellion, on the contrary: the fact that she was one of the first (if not the first one?) to manifest her Kyutama makes me see her as one of the most focused on the team when it comes to their mission.
Yet, maybe because of her young age, or maybe because of something that happened to her before the meeting with Lucky, there is always this lack of confidence in the team’s ability and in the legend that wants them as actually capable of bringing peace to the Galaxy again.
A legend that, so far, has found in Raptor one of its strongest believer: the reason for this, as well as the implication of the existence of such a tale are, as I’ve already said, one of the most intriguing part of the show, and one of the things I’m mostly looking forward to be explained later on.
the new combo that will be epic
a look at one of the multiple digital ads purchased by letter408 (ideal boy / p.408) for jonghyun’s birthday. this particular one can be found at exits #3 - #6 of gangnam station. (source)
hello. this is shinee’s key. thanks to the many people who worried over us. i am pulling myself together again and strive to go back to our usual routine. there are moments when suddenly remembering traces of jonghyun-hyung’s memories cause my tears to flow, and there are times when my chest hurts, but i work hard in sucessfully getting over while thinking of the times i’ve spent with jonghyun-hyung. i know that everyone supports shinee’s unchanging activities. even though, again, i have a lot of worries i thought that i shouldn’t give up everything and just wait for my heart to regain peace. in the midst of a lot of people worried for us we decided to go through with the planned concerts in japan. this decision would be what jonghyun-hyung would want us to have (done). to keep our promise to all our fans we’ll show a good performance. i think that is the most shinee thing to do. this year, we shinee will be celebrating our tenth year anniversary. we are very grateful for your constant support and encouragement and, in return, we’ll give you a stage as shinee is supposed to have. i love you. thank you. some jonghyun shinin’ mv screenshots remade as twitter layouts, enjoy!
Spada: In your opinion, what is the height of stupidity?
Hammy: Hey Lucky, how tall are you?
