"But that ship is toxic and problematic" okay ❤️ yay ❤️
protagonist: wow, i sure hope nobody says anything strange today
insufferable twink antagonist in chapter two:
in one of mukero’s free time events she mentions loving bunnies, i’ve been wanting to draw something like this for a while now hehe
One of the things I love about Vi in s1 is how unafraid she is of Jinx. Sure, she's afraid Jinx has done/will do bad things, but she isn't afraid to get in close. Jinx holds a mini gun to her face, and she knocks it away like it's not a big deal. She watches Jinx look like she's having fun trying to kill the firelights and she's not afraid of her, she's concerned about how much she's changed and goes to run towards her.
Jinx shot at her and caitlyn, set off all those firelight bombs on the bridge, but Vi still came running back to get her sister after she set caitlyn down. Jinx kidnaped her and had her tied up in the dark with her pistol, and Vi isn't afraid her sister is going to hurt her. She is afraid she'll hurt someone else. That she’ll leave. That she won't believe she loves her.
Sure Vi thinks she can "get powder back," but she still loves her even though this person she met after 7 years of being apart is so different.Vi defies everyone who says her sister isnt there anymore. Vi doesn't blame jinx for being how she is, she blames herself for not being there. She needs to be as close to Jinx as possible to let her know she doesn’t want to go anywhere.
At that tea party, even after everything that happened Vi is still asking Jinx to be with her. Telling Jinx the only reason she could keep going in prison is the thought of getting back to her. She's afraid of a lot of things but not her sister. Not of loving her. She's never afraid of loving her. She's afraid of losing her again. And when Jinx leaves her there, that's the beginning of the end for her.
She has all of this love for Jinx and gets rejected. She's left behind with only caitlyn to fill the void. The one thing that hasn't changed since everything else around her is different. The one purpose she had for 7 years was to get back to her sister, and it was shattered after Jinx rejected her. In s2 Vi is finally afraid to love her sister because she knows it might not be enough. That throws her whole sense of self off balance, and then Vi is clinging to anything to keep her grounded even if it goes against everything she's ever believed in.
Before S2 came out I thought that Vi was going to be forced to be an enforcer because her sisters a terrorist and technically she's not supposed to be out of jail so they'd give her an ultimatum to be sent back to jail or be an enforcers until they catch Jinx. And I thought the conflict between her and Cait would be that Cait didn't stand up for her or try to find another solution. that'd be cool
Samewadda drawing that I made some weeks ago :B
i dont think fictional characters would want to participate in anti/proship discourse. wouldnt that be funny though? like imagine steven universe telling the crystal gems that he had to death threat jasper because she was darkshipping
powder x ekko is cute tho. really cute two nerds, who would have made a really cute couple in au. but jinx? jinx is jinx. a queen of disaster. the way ekko feels about her is full of grief, mourning the loss of what could have been. "in another universe" kind of thing.
for silco, she was perfect. two fucking freaks, destined to destroy each other. one raising the other, watering the poison flower rather than cutting it. for silco, the poison flower was still a flower. even after the flower grew tall until it bloomed and the poison eventually killed him. he knew that the flower was poisonous, yet he loved it. no one except silco would have watered the poisonous little flower. carrying the burden of poison kept her awake at night, hearing whispers and climbing to his bed for silence. she didn't want to poison the only one, who went down with her poison. but what can she do? she is born poisonous. she is jinx.
people will indulge in media that has the most fucked up twisted and problematic stories with unredeemable characters then proceed to turn around and say dni proshippers
Oh yeah, I honestly respect any ship people want to have with Andrew, but my problem with the Andrew x Renee mood is that it literally makes no sense??
I mean they completely forget about the fact that Renee is the reason for the two brothers' misfortunes and just use Renee as an Ashley 2.0 with the exact same personality just a little more serious so you don't notice it lol
Same thing happens with most ocs, it's crazy to me to see people who hate gravecest/Ashley but ship Andrew with an oc that is EXACTLY the same as Ashley like ???
It's almost like... If you take Ashley out of the story the game wouldn't make sense/wouldn't be interesting!! 😱
I'm so tired of the hate Ashley Graves receives on the internet in general.
Not because I think everyone should like the character because there's no accounting for personal taste, but it's so obvious when they are just misogynists who hate Ashley but for some reason love Andrew and actively defend him for actions that both siblings committed.
Like no, Ashley did NOT force Andrew to do shit, Andrew had plenty of opportunities throughout his life to at least try to separate himself from his sister as much as possible and put a stop to Ashley's actions (example: take Ashley's harassment to Julia seriously and not just dismiss it)
The point is that he doesn't do it because he's just as bad as she is, and him blaming her for all his misfortunes is just his way of coping so he doesn't feel so bad about himself afterwards.
I know this is something a lot of people have already pointed out, but it's because I'm on Tumblr (where I only read posts from people who adore her) that I sometimes completely forget how much people actually hate her out there 💀
