One of the best things about going to a single sex girls school was that they gave us a series of classes on female specific self defence incase we were attacked by a male.

I remembered some tips I thought would be useful for women to know

I don’t remember everything but here are some tips I do remember

- often times male perpetrators will cover their groins so don’t focus on the crotch, instead focus on places like the eyes and knees.

- if you’re really in a dire situation where a man is straddling you then try and snap his legs apart very quickly with yours, because this can disable them very quickly.

- you can also impact on the under side of the nose to kill a man if you really need to. Useful to know.

- they’ll try and disable your hands, and if this happens use your feet or your head. Women have biologically less upper body strength so these are also effective at making impact.

- avoid men doing a stupid walk with baggy trousers on. A lot of the time this means they have a knife, and if it doesn’t then they’re stupid and you should avoid them anyway.

-if you’re stabbed avoid taking the knife out, because it acts as a plug to stop you from bleeding out.

- In terms of prevention, it’s helpful to basically always keep friends around you, but also to go to establishments you know will care if you’re being hurt. I personally have been spiked before in a club that didn’t care at all, and it was horrible - do your research before you go out.

These are obviously limited tips but I enjoy this channel as a means of learning self defence - https://youtube.com/@empowered8083?si=lU2YEI89phKXgEJi

First of all, prostitution is not the oldest profession- it's the oldest form of slavery. The oldest profession is midwifery. So jot that down.

i love kink shaming actually. yes I think it’s repulsive that you like role-playing that your gf is your 5 year old daughter while you two are having sex. no i don’t think that it makes it ethical just because you didn’t actually physically rape a child. die mad about it

Intro ig:

Patch (not my irl name, for safety reasons)

Adult

Lesbian (I dislike gender stereotypes but for the sake of being understandable I’d be considered gnc

South Indian born, raised in the US

18

This is a sideblog for my political opinions, non political opinions, and everything in between. If you disagree with me that’s fine lol, I’m always willing to have respectful conversations in DMs or asks.

Politics under the cut: Note that these aren’t 100% super detailed descriptions of every one of my political beliefs, feel free to ask for clarification

I consider myself a leftist, not a liberal

I disagree with a lot of liberal feminism takes, though I used to be one

It was not a great space for me, so I left

Feminism, Radical Feminism, Liberal Feminism, oh my!

I don’t label myself as anything other than a feminist, do not put labels on me. If I tag something as ‘blank’-feminism, it’s for the algorithm

Sex is why women are an oppressed class, gender is the reinforcement of that oppression.

Patriarchy harms everyone, but women should always be centered in feminist discussions

Also, it is not women’s responsibility to deal with male on male violence

Single sex spaces are important, but excessive cruelty towards transsexual people is largely unwarranted, and only alienates possible allies within other oppressed communities

Men are not innately bad or evil, but they are socialized to be oppressors of women. Misandry is not an axis of oppression Radblr has an issue with demeaning heterosexual women, and borderline racist extremism. Insulting the appearance or orientation of *anyone* is not activism. It’s assholery.

Pro-abortion, Pro-divorce, Pro-sex *worker* (Decriminalize, but never legalize. Pimps and Johns should be prosecuted as rapists)

Anti-makeup, Anti-cosmetic surgery, Anti-pornography, Anti-prostitution

Kink-critical, gender-critical, adoption-complex (I’m an adoptee myself, don’t come at me)

I’m a lesbian, so obviously I’m pro-homosexuals.

Bi women and lesbians are each other’s biggest allies, and we need more solidarity.

Lesbian means woman loving woman *exclusively*. Sapphic means non-exclusively loving women as a woman Butch/Femme are terms that rely on gender stereotypes and need to be re-examined by the community

Gay men should not be allowed to get away with rampant misogyny like they are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, etc are not definitionless terms. Sexuality is not fluid. Pansexual and its offspring are the same as Bisexual

Stop normalizing slurs and “reclamation”, that goes for “qu—r” too.

Trans people…the million dollar question

I believe gender dysphoria exists, and that there are transsexual individuals who genuinely believe themselves to be a different sex

However, most people who call themselves trans*gender* and do not have sex dysphoria simply reject gender roles

Therapy should be required before any medical intervention, and absolutely no medical or legal changes for minors, including self ID on driver’s licenses, medical records, etc

I suffer dysphoria myself and am in therapy for it. I do not consider myself transsexual, nor am I pursuing any type of transition, but I understand the struggle. I was at my worst mentally when I was active in the trans community

I can respect trans people as human beings without agreeing with their politics

I’ll add more as I think of them.

Note: I don’t believe in DNIs for my blogs. That is how echochambers are created. I will respect someone else’s DNI. Also, never put a list of your triggers and discomforts on the internet. Anyone can interact, if it’s in bad faith I’ll just block you lol

Remember that “I think everyone should have the freedom and autonomy to make decisions regarding their own personal life” will never mean “all decisions and outcomes are equally good”.

Conversely, the statement “some decisions are better than others” does not imply the statement “decisions should be compelled.”

Freedom of choice liberalism has turned into a lazy ambivalence about how the choices we make either positively negatively impact ourselves and the people around us.

A critique of someone’s choices has been too often mistaken as an attack on their right to make that choice. For example, if I say that the glorification of tradwifery on TikTok will lead to bad outcomes for young girls, the statement “tradwives should not be allowed to post on TikTok” is nowhere near implied. If I say that wearing makeup encourages compliance by other women and perpetuates a patriarchal erasure of the image of women, I am not saying that I have any desire to make makeup illegal.

Those are certainly statements that feminists could make, but only assume that’s what someone means if they actually say it.

Opposing choice feminism does not an authoritarian make.

(of course this doesn’t apply to choices which directly aid or perpetrate sexual or physical violence)
