I finally finished the story! I am sorry it took me soo long. I was ill until Wednesday soo I couldn't really write. I hope you still like it and I would be happy to receive feedback. I am also sorry if there should be bad grammatical issues in it. I wrote it today in the late hours soo :) Have fun :)

He couldn’t believe that he had stood on the podium right at the beginning of the new season 2024/25. It felt surreal. Yes, he thought he would be good, but not standing on the podium. And definitely not getting the first place. Saturday already felt special, and even more when he stood in the lobby and saw a comment from his former Teammate Severin Freund. He smiled when his phone started to buzz.

“Hey Sevi”.

Hey my guy. Congrats on your win today. How are you feeling? Second podium already, feeling over the clouds?” Severin laughed at the end and Pius couldn’t help laugh a little too.

“No of course not. But I feel so free and happy. Achieving this two really feels surreal and completely being in my head isn’t it yet. But I really love how supportive everyone is on the team. They all so cheerful today.”

“Yeah, what is going on with the team? They are all so smiley and happy. Everything good?"

Pius smiled. He had a guess where this question was going but he wanted Sevi to ask it so he simply answered: "Everything is fine."

You could hear Severin´s thoughts spinning before saying: "So did something change between you know who I am talking about."

Pius laughed a little, the third time during the call: "No, no not really. They are all still not together

"Okay. That's enough waiting. We gave them time. Now we do something to help them."

His friend sounded a little angry but Pius knowing him long enough to know that he wasn’t. Since Richard and Severin retired, Pius had taken on the father role. He loved doing it but he started to get annoyed at the younger jumpers.

“What do you have in mind? We can't just asked them.”

He could hear his old Teammate start to smiling: “You will think of something good. Just promise me you phone me after and tell me how it went.”

“Will do. Bye for now, I have to go and play couple maker.”

“Hahaha, do that. Good luck and hear from you soon.”

Pius ended the call with a small smile. He just couldn’t get it off today somehow. Just when he finally reached his hotel room he saw Stephan Leyhe his teammate coming out of his and Andreas Wellinger´s shared room. The brunette looked a little bit stressed.

“Hey Steph! Are you okay?”

“Huh? Oh, hey Pius. I am fine, but did you see Andi? We wanted to play cards. But he just vanished.”

Pius thought for a second: “Oh I did see him going downstairs. I think he wanted to grab some water.”

Stephan smiled, nodded his head and wanted to go, but Pius hold him back and said: “Can I actually talk to you for a second?”

Stephan looked a little confused at him but nodded: "Uhm sure. What is it?"

Pius let them to his room. Pius's hotel room was a small but cozy space, with a single bed tucked against the wall and a desk cluttered with training schedules. The window offered a breathtaking view of the snow-covered mountains, which shimmered under the moonlight. He was really lucky this season. With Markus being back he had his single room again. When they had entered, he advised Stephan to take a seat.

"Do you remember when we talked about the right timing to tell him, that you like him. I told you that I would tell you when I feel it and it is time tonight."

Pius was completely serious about the situation, but his teammate could just stare at him. He wondered what was going on in Stephan's head. Was he nervous, happy, confused or even frightened?

Before Pius could continue Stephan started to pace through his room.

Now looking totally stressed the brunette said: "Wha...What! But I feel not ready? What if he rejects me? What if he hates me after or what if...."

Pius had to laugh. That sounded like the typical Stephan. Creating scenarios in his head what could happen.

"He loves you, Stephan. I am very sure of it. It's in the air, in every glance he gives you. Trust that. And maybe that's why his jumps have been off lately. He needs to know how you feel too. Also, It would get off your chest too.”

Stephan's face showed a painful grimace: "I can’t tell my best friend, that I have a crush on him?"

Pius signed. Then he thought of something: "You know what: You will tell him to meet outside in 10 minutes. Ask him there. If he says no, you could run into the woods, which I would not let you do. Or as anything will turn out correct, you two can share a first kiss under the stars and snow. I will stand on the balcony and keep an eye on you if that helps."

“You would really do that?” Stephan had his eyes on Pius, watching him.

He just smiled and said: “Of course if it helps you?”

His teammate breathed in and out and then nodded.

“Okay. I will do it. I will tell him.”

Pius just wished him good luck and shushes him off.

Next, he would be talking to Markus. With Markus, he didn’t have a conversation about his love life, but he saw a lot of times how they both look at each other. Severin had told him a long time ago, that he has some kind of strange talent to recognize something like love at first sight and Pius could not only see but feel it in them. So, he also took Markus aside and talked to him.

"Markus can I talk to you for a second? I need to ask you something"

Markus nods but is in anguish: "What did I do? If I did something it wasn’t me. I didn’t jump around and pranked somebody. It was Hille. I promise. I told him not to do it. He wouldn’t listen"

"Don’t worry. That is something I am not worried about anymore. And the thing with Hille: Yeah I am going to have a little chat with him on pranking poor Karle"

Markus breathing out loudly: "Oh, thank god. But wait, how did you know it was Karl who got pranked?”

“I know everything that is going on.” Pius smiled.

“So, if it is not that, then why do you want to talk to me?”

Pius being completely serious saying: “I heard Karl talk to Stephan. He told him, that he likes you. I know you do too so isn’t it time to talk to him about your feelings?"

"What do you mean by “Like me?”.

"He likes, likes you. He has a crush on you. That's at least what I heard."

"Wait?"

Pius continues: "Stephan told him, to tell you. Karl agreed to that."

"Wait WHAT? I mean I do like him, but what if it don’t work out or...or... I am sooo confused now. I fought he only likes me as a friend or a teammate...What do I do?"

"I think you should tell him first."

Markus struggles: "But what if...?"

Pius smiles a bit and says: "I see how you to look at each other. I am pretty sure he likes you."

"Are you sure?"

Pius nodded.

"I trust you. If you saw something I will go and talk to him. Maybe it helps me. And I know we will never fall out of our friendship."

Pius just nodes and offers Markus the same help as Stephan. Markus vanishes to Karl's and his room. Pius smiles and walks out on the balcony. He couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness as he watched his friends prepare to confess their feelings. He remembered his own moments of uncertainty and hoped that everything would turn out well for them. He first saw Markus entering the balcony, going straight to Karl. He saw his Teammate breathing in and out before he greeted his best friend. Pius couldn’t hear a single thing but from the body language and Karl's lips forming into a smile, he could guess that it was going well. In one moment, they were talking and in the other they were standing cuddling on the balcony, watching the mountains in the distance. It started to snow a little bit. Under him, he spotted Stephan and Andi talking. He could see Stephan hesitated, could see nearly his heart pounding. See the thoughts circling probably asking himself What if Andi didn't feel the same way? But Pius could see that Stephan started to forget his thoughts as he looked into Andi's eyes, he saw the same nervous anticipation. Taking a deep breath, he decided to take the leap. Pius cannot hear every word being said from under him, where Stephan gets all the courage to tell Andi and then getting all mumbling until Andi coupes Stephan's cheek, smiles, and kisses him to silent his mouth and thoughts. The only thing Pius heard from their conversation was: "Took you long enough." The snow was falling hard now while they kissed. After that Pius saw that they parted, probably from being out of breath. They smiled brightly, Stephan had one hand on Andi's breast while the one was playing with lost strings of hair that were coming from under Andi's Red Bull beanie. Their heads were close to each other. Andi had his one hand around Stephan's waist and the other still on his cheek before he dived in for another kiss. Tilting his head a little to catch his best friends’ lips. Pius smiled bright looking to his left to see Markus and Karl standing close to each other. And while the winner of the day started to look into the distance, breathing out his breath visible in the cold air. He watched as Stephan and Andi's silhouettes grew closer; their words lost in the winter breeze. The moment felt both endless and fleeting, filled with the weight of unspoken emotions. He texted Severin that the tasked was done. He received a notification that Sevi had liked his message, followed shortly by another from Richard giving him a thumbs up. Pius chuckled softly, his gaze drifting off into the distance. This weekend had truly been the best.
