This is the Statue of Liberty Nebula! 🗽🗽🗽 (I guess to celebrate the inauguration!)
The dramatic shapes of the nebula are created by young, hot stars that were newly formed through this nebula. Most of the star formation takes place in the dark filaments in this region and it is located just a few thousand light years away from the famous Eta Carinae Nebula (also a prolific star forming region)! ✨✨✨

This is the Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse! ✨✨✨
Although the Slooh telescopes were off at the time of the eclipse itself, Slooh did provide a great livestream on Youtube that you can watch if you missed the event. The name “super moon” comes from how the Moon is located closer in its elliptical orbit to Earth, the name “flower moon” comes from how the super moon takes place in May, and the name “blood moon” shows its red color due to the Earth blocking the Sun’s light on the moon! 💖💖💖

This is Haley’s Coronet! 👑👑👑
The interaction between the larger spiral galaxy and its dwarf galaxy have created plumes of dust around the duo. The process of the larger galaxy eating the smaller one is actually called galactic cannibalism (spooky)! 👻👻👻

This is the 2021 Pink Supermoon!🌜🌷🌸🌹🌺🌼💐💮
Although this moon is not pink, the name “Pink Moon” is named after the pink phlox flower that appears in the spring during the time of this event. This rare celestial event won’t happen again for another 8 years so be sure to check it out! ✨✨✨

The Silver Coin Galaxy 🌌
My favorite galaxy by far. This starburst spiral galaxy, also known as NGC 253, is undergoing massive star formation and thus is incredibly bright ✨
