STOP MAKING PLANS Tho- That’s A Narrative Guarantee That They Won’t Happen.

STOP MAKING PLANS tho- that’s a narrative guarantee that they won’t happen.

Our lads seem to have forgotten that Arthur conspicuously absconded from the scene of a double murder when he was supposed to be investigating the murder of a little girl. And also having an impressive streak of people in his life suddenly dying. And disappearing after a month-long coma the same night the hospital morgue was broken into and all the lights shattered, with the a murdered woman pulled put of her body drawer. And purchased a gun and fake id. And stole a boat, and the cops who went after him were never seen again.

Fuck shit. Fuck. Not the Parker lore my heeeeaaaaaarrttttt

…and it was to make a gift for them. If I hear this friendly helpful rotting head slandered one more time istg

“Surely you can’t expect me to climb a 30ft pole and take the already loose eye out of a dead man’s skull!” -the guy who scaled a vertical shaft dozens of feet tall, shimmied around the exterior of the nth floor of a mansion on a cliff during a storm, has survived an elevator drop from inside a hotel to the bottom of a massive underground cavern, stumbling into an eldritch meat pit in the bowels of another world, and being thrown down a mineshaft, and has killed “I don’t know, seven?” people, two of which by shoving his thumbs through their eyeballs.

Y’all will do fuck all for Yorick smh.

Arthur grits his teeth and fumbles around for the soap. It’s a small bar, but it will have to do. “Look. I get that you’re angry, but this really isn’t the time for—”

“I’m not angry.”

Arthur scoffs. “No?”

“No. I’m … let’s call it grieving.”

After killing Larson, Arthur and John leave Addison. They end up in a motel for the night, and when Arthur’s emotions and traumas from the past few months bubble over into an inevitable breakdown, he finally communicates with John just what has happened the past few days and why Larson’s blood has ended up on his hands.

.

There’s blood on Arthur’s hand. He can feel it between his fingers, tacky and warm, sticking his skin to the handle of the dagger.

But he’s had blood on his hands since the day he cradled his daughter’s dead body in his arms. At least now, the literal matches the metaphorical.

He forces his fingers to uncurl from around the dagger. It clatters to the floor, loud in the silence that has overtaken the room. The echo of it is long, but Arthur thinks he imagines it longer. The room is large, the ceilings of the front hall of the manor vaulted and glittering with an intricate glass chandelier. The sound pings from surface to surface until it fades beyond human perception. (Inhuman perception as well, he supposes. Monstrous perception.)

Theres also that bit at the beginning when John is complaining about the movie and Arthur asks someone if the seat next to them is taken- which means he identified an empty seat without John’s help. I’d dismiss these incidents as mistakes if Mr. Guthrie didn’t go out of his way to have John comment on it during the Collins fight.

Something is definitely up. It’s like the info osmosis is starting to go the other way.

Okay okay so in episode 29 in the scene where Arthur jumps out of the way of Collins/the Butcher's first attack on him HOW does he know where to jump away from?

Here's my theory, you know the idea that when you lose one sense the others grow stronger? Well what if Arthur heard where Collins was and was able to figure out where he was attacking from just by the sounds that Collins was making?

Either that or he is like spiderman and has spidey sense

“John, I can get you close to Arthur, but you’ll be in someone else’s head.”

“Larson, I will put a fragment of an elder god in your head, but he’ll be an absolute pussy.”

i am considering the sickening possibility that john's truthful answer to arthur's question "where did you go [when yellow was in my head]?" is "in larson's head"

Arthur: We are of two minds and more and more, I’m realizing, two souls, as well. There is a bleed over effect but… you are something entirely your own, John.

John: Doe.

Arthur: Yes… John Doe.

Audience: John Malevolent it is.

OH I never said- Loving the new song(s?). I found the soundtrack increasingly tonally dissonant in past episodes, but this was ON POINT. The (what sounds to me like a) viola is heartbreaking and perfect, just playing two notes. Definitely contributed to me shedding actual physical tears while listening.

Wait a minute, “Plastic Jesus” wasn’t written until the 1950s. Kellin’s a time traveller!
