So, let me guess– you just started a new book, right? And you’re stumped. You have no idea how much an AK47 goes for nowadays. I get ya, cousin. Tough world we live in. A writer’s gotta know, but them NSA hounds are after ya 24/7. I know, cousin, I know. If there was only a way to find out all of this rather edgy information without getting yourself in trouble…
You’re in luck, cousin. I have just the thing for ya.
It’s called Havocscope. It’s got information and prices for all sorts of edgy information. Ever wondered how much cocaine costs by the gram, or how much a kidney sells for, or (worst of all) how much it costs to hire an assassin?
I got your back, cousin. Just head over to Havocscope.
((PS: In case you’re wondering, Havocscope is a database full of information regarding the criminal underworld. The information you will find there has been taken from newspapers and police reports. It’s perfectly legal, no need to worry about the NSA hounds, cousin ;p))

This is something close to my heart as a hermit crab mama! As beach & vacation season kicks off, gift shops will sell hermit crabs & tell you they can live in a tiny cage with a sponge. It is not true. I made this video in hopes to try to educate. You can often find large tanks on Marketplace or Craigslist for sale at a much cheaper price than a pet shop. Rubbermaid dishes can be used for water dishes. Needlepoint canvas can be used as ladders. There are a lot of DIY tips & crab central station is an excellent online resource for learning proper care. If you bring several home & one or two doesn’t survive, it is because they go through so much stress before they reach us. The pet trade can be ugly & brutal sometimes. We don’t want to add to that. You can also look into hermit crab adoption if you are interested!

Saddest thing ever is reading an academic paper about a threatened or declining species where you can tell the author is really trying to come up with ways the animal could hypothetically be useful to humans in a desperate attempt to get someone to care. Nobody gives a shit about the animals that “don’t affect” us and it seriously breaks my heart
Alright. Let me educate and tell everyone what is happening in the world right now.
Scientists from all around the world have been banding together to protest and warn the world. They've tried in the past, but no one listened to them. However, the situation has become critical and they needed to step up, or else humanity won't last long.
Rapid and deep cuts to greenhouse gas emissions are necessary by 2025 to avoid catastrophic climate effects.
The situation was so serious that A NASA SCIENTIST WAS AT THE PROTEST AS WELL. Peter Kalmus, the NASA scientist, chained himself to the JP Morgan Chase Building with the Jet Proportion Laboratory.
He broke down in tears explaining. He did everything he could. He cursed, shouted, and risked his career for the world's future.
Police ARRESTED them. The professionals who knew what they were doing, who were trying to tell us to stop killing the Earth, to warn us and convince us to protect the future of young people and children.
I am a minor and I have barely lived a fulfilled life. I don't want to end it now.
Annual losses in GDP, changes in rainfall patterns and distribution, droughts, threats to biodiversity and food security, sea-level rise, public health risks, and endangerment of vulnerable groups such as women and indigenous people in the Philippines. The Arctic is warming three times as fast as the global average, so much is happening.
Deadly storms pummelled Madagascar, Malawi and Mozambique with more intense rainfall because of climate change. Three tropical cyclones and two tropical storms hit Southeast Africa in just six weeks in the first months of this year, causing widespread flooding. More than a million people were affected and at least 230 people died.
We have to listen to them now. Please try and help.
More favourite numerical memes:
Implicit or implicit enumeration of uncountable things (example: taking inventory of the fucks which one gives)
Suggesting the divisibility of things which are not customarily thought of as able to be subdivided (example: "six whole people")
Using words that aren't numbers as numbers (example: "one William dollars")
Technically correct but contextually misleading estimates (example: looking at a group of several thousand things and observing that there are "at least three")
Incongruous qualifiers for apparently simple sums or tallies (example: she was twenty-seven years old, not counting 2014)
