Also I HC that Vance and Mario have both wanted to deck Will Shane for nearly a decade since, as popular figures they've always wanted to get in touch and professionally collaborate (Will on the Bravado show and Vance in competitive racing) and Will being shady never responded so they both already hold a grudge over that.

like seriously, they're both the right ages! They could have made their OWN Shane gang, Will and Tom and Mario and Vance!!! Mario and Vance being a decade or 2 younger, but still super useful!

both their dads where good friend's once upon a time, and with them dead/presumed missing, they bond over that and some other stuff

Kord is fascinated by the Short Distance Teleporter Dana had been using, but she keeps that thing out of everyone's reach

because Dana is stuck at the Hideout more often then naught, her only sources of entertainment are, the TV, SlugNet and Pronto

This is going to be a controversial take, but Eli tells Dana about the Surface.

'The Gentleman & The Thief' takes place after 'A Distant Shore' which is the ep where the rest of the Gang learns the truth that the Surface is real, and I'm pretty steadfast in anyone who joins the gang after not being told, as seen in the Gentleman and Gerhard HC's,

but Dana is the daughter of Tom Por, and Will leaving for the Surface(and Will's dealing with the Shadow Clan) is what caused the rift to form between them. and Eli dose not want to lie to Dana, and dose not want what happened to their fathers to happen to him an Dana.

So Eli tells Dana, and tells her as much as he knows,

Dana is touched that Eli is trusting her with this information, that he trusts her this much despite everything

Trixie and Dana have girl time

goes as well as you would expect

brotherly affection for Eli be damned, Dana will punch, Will Shane

Pronto makes Dana a tomb stone

Dana becomes like, the stealth expert of the Gang

Mario would join some time after he's offered the position on the team

Trixie enjoys making compilations of the Gangs best shots, and Mario is surprisingly good at video making, so he's constantly helping out in editing the compilations, and even cross posting on his own SlugNet acc

Pronto and Kord get a start of their betting with Eli and Mario way before Junjie happens

during 'A Distant Shor' Mario, just like everyone else is annoyed at Gar, and is telling Eli to leave the mad man alone because nothing good comes from chasseing fairy tails

and just like the others Mario is pissed Eli is not trusting them, and acting so, weirder than normal

then the reveal happens and he is gobsmaked

"I-its real??? The Burning World is REAL?! OH SHADOWS- Th-this is-"

Mario just hug's Eli because, kid just went through so much shit, and destroyed his grate uncle's journal, the one thing that probably had all the answers to all the questions Eli had, just to keep the secret, and them safe-

turns out, giving up the super rare slug prize you where contractually obligated to hand over is a no-no

Sucks as Slug Slinging and requires so many aids to help him shoot good

Vance teaches the Gang a bunch of cool Mecha tricks

Vance makes it a point to teach everyone to ride each others Mecha Beasts, just in case they end up having to switch rides, or commandeer a dif Mecha

he used to do sponsored shows/races were he had to ride different models, and it's not all the same

When they get the Motorbike upgrades Vance is salivating at the mouth

Trixie takes more of an interest in Mecha tricks as compared to the guys

Kord and Vance bond over Mecha's gushing over every new model and mod ever made

Eli get's to help them with maintenance

Pronto and Vance get into an argument about Fernando

Much like the rest of the Gang during 'A Distant Shore' Vance is not a fan of Gar

Gar is like an obsessive fan, and Vance hates those kinds of fans

is very concerned about Eli and how weird he's acting in 'A Distant Shore'

At that point in time, Eli has made a name for himself as the Shane so Vance can't help but think Eli is letting the pressure get to him and is making some bad calls, similarly to the one's Vance made early in his career as a racer.

When the truth comes out about the Burning World being real, he can't help but think about how much of a PR nightmare Eli's actions no matter how well indented, were.

He is 100% running damage control and debunking and all of Gar's claims on the SlugNet after the fact or so help him-

He dose ask about the transportation Top Side though

I made an intro to slugterra thingy cause most youtube videos ive seen about slugterra are either ai slop or well-meaning cartoon channels that have done a sane and respectable amount of research but dont have every slugterra fact tatooed into their bloodstream like I do...so boom, a real life human with a voice talking about slugterra.

i have no proper camera but otherwise ive always really vibed w video essay stuff...doesnt mean im good at it, but if i do it more ill probs get better at it! not just about slugterra either, i have hot takes about aspec representation and i accidentally stumbled into the lord of the rings fandom recently, so...hopefully, whatever happens, the rest of my artistic output is only better than this vid and not worse :)

I wish we had an episode just about Mall Cavern Shenanigans

The Mall Cavern is like the best place for a four-way(or five-way) story.

Just think about it.

The gang walks in, and they all have their own plans.

Trixie is in a video camera store because she needs to get her camera lens fixed but the clerk keeps trying to get her to by a new one.

Kord is looking at new mecha and blaster mods gets into a minor disagreement with another grearhead.

Pronto is window shopping for fancy stuff and probably haggling for cheaper prices.

Eli is just walking around, seeing whatever catches his eye. Probably gets recognized by a few people, like other customers and staff. People keep trying to get him to buy their favorite product or buy from their store(because having a Shane buy from you is such a big deal), and he just politely refuses.

And the Slugs just get into slug shenanigans. (Obligatory something gets blown up with them)

The episode ends with Eli being called over the Malls intercom to come collect the rest of his team from Mall jail.

This is because;

Trixie punched the clerk trying to up sell her.

Kord 'accidentally' broke the blaster of the guy he was having a disagreement with during a little impromptu competition to see who could best mod a balster(he put a glitter bomb in the main accelerator)

Pronto got busted for being a cheapskate when one of the cashiers got fed up with him

And the Slugs, the Slugs, just fall through a vent conveniently just as Trixie, Kord, and Pronto are being let out.

Alternatively, the gang gets called to Mall jail to pick up Eli because in an attempt to hide from people, he accidentally ends up stealing a minor trinket he forgot to put back on the shelf/pay for.

Edit to add: when Eli is sent to Mall jail, he learns his dad got arrested for very similar reasons, the security guard straight up show him a photo of Will Shane behind bars. Eli is allowed to keep a copy

Team as family and domestic stuff is all I'm saying.

HC about Mario Bravera

we know he went back to his show due to his cameo in Slug Fu Showdown. But when did he restart his career?

Lets ask another question. Blakk gained low-level employees as s2 went on because after the beast forge he consolidated his power and many people were probably forced to work for him. And we know the real reason why no new, high-level villains show up near this end - as a show, its not wise to introduce too many new characters at once, especially at the climax of the story. BUT, still, it does ring suspicious that, other than more regular guards, there's no more well-known slingers who turned to Blakk's side.

UNLESS: Mario Bravara's show. He didn't start slinging again quite yet, but unlike the shane gang, relying on the shane status but still obviously run by kids, he had a cultural pull. AND, c'mon, he was famous and gave that up - anything he did while returning to the spotlight would be worldwide talked about.

I think he restarted his show, and didn't exactly go the Trixie route and gain footage from the warring caverns - he did interviews with Blakk Inc. survivors. Imagine? Celebrity comes around out of nowhere, just as charismatic, and this time, there's a deadweed minor talking about how he's had breathing problems since blakk inductries basically killed him, took him away from his family, and left him to rot. Next week: a mother who was forced to sign away her home for the Slugterran Express. Gretchel and his crew, describing in horrific detail the quick and for all we know deadly attack on the beast forge. Scientist staring in horror at the data coming out about dying caverns and what ghouls do to their homes, their caverns, and their resources as a society. The Lumino Ore minors with guns pointed at them as they still surrendered their rights. ALL these stories, on blast.

Maybe it wasn't helping Eli directly, but the publicity maybe helped the West move on quicker than it would have if Blakk's war crimes were left buried. And stopped more better shooters from joining Blakk's cause - Blakk has the greedy shooters, but maybe Mario prevented more fame-and-people-pleaser-hungry shooters from joining, too.

HC: certified doctors in Slugterra have to pass an upper body physical test purely because in order to treat cave trolls they must be able to treat them without need of helpers - without being hindered by lack of arm strength.

You think different species like cave trolls and humans need different means of cpr? Pronto hears thru his nose and has his heart in his butt so I assume that's def different, humans are smaller than cave trolls so do cave trolls only use one hand for adults like how humans do for human childern cause of their pure strength? The list goes on

Humans already need different CPR. Till age 8, you perform CPR ment for kids on children, and after 8, you perform adult CPR.

Child CPR has you delivering 5 hard open palm blows to the back, followed by a two finger chest compreshion, while they are angled downward at like 45°, you already have to use one hand on a kid.

For adults (8 and above-weird, i know, but that's what I was taught-) you do regular CPR, and if needed/available, you bust out the AED

The AED will periodically shock the system to stimulate the body and tell whether or not the heart has started again. It will guide you through the motions and even has a button to switch to child mode to give instructions on providing CPR to a child.

There is also the fact other devices, like a oxygen mask might be in play as well depending on the situation.

With that in mind, and the fact that different species have different overall biology, it would make sense that there are different protocols when giving CPR to different residents of the Caverns.

Humans are straightforward, but for a Cave Troll to give a human CPR they would have to dile back their strength, CPR already risks the braking of ribs as is. Same when it comes to Elf's, they are humanoid, and Moleinoids, and their weird ass biology.

Whoever a Cave Troll must tend to medically that isn't another Cave Troll, they would have to be very mindful of their strength. So yeah, I would agree/assume they only use one hand when dealing with someone that isn't their own kind

As for a Human, Elf or Moleinoids preforming CPR on a Cave Troll, they would have to use as much strength and they could, or find another Cave Troll.

I would bet there are different AED devices made for the different types of residents of the Caverns, the Cave Troll one delivering more of a shock than the one for Humans, Elf's and Moleinoids.

And you know what? Let's take it up a notch and include slugs. Hypothetically speaking, if a slug here to need CPR, i would think it would follow the child rules, two finger chest compreshions and a blow to the back. Probably with not as much power, since they are so small.
