Pomegranates have a rich symbolism across many cultures and myths. It is associated with the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite who planted the first pomegranate tree. In ancient Rome and Persian cultures, it was considered a symbol of prosperity and fertility. In the myth of Persephone - goddess of rebirth, Hades uses pomegranates to tempt the goddess to stay in the underworld. Here the symbolism relates to death and the transition between seasons.

Why Bubbline is the only Canon Gay Enemy-to-Lovers that I enjoy...
1 Their friendship and relationship goes through awesome character development, especially when Bubblegum temporarily lost her title as Princess.
2 When they were in their 'enemy phase' they felt a bit more equal; when Marceline was being a jerk to Bubblegum, the princess stood up for herself and vice versa.
3 They didn't rush the relationship.
4 While they love each other, they aren't OBSESSED with each other.
5 They take turns being the sane one.
