a beautiful little family.
He was about to go home, about to return to the place where he had had a family […] The life he had lost had hardly ever seemed so real to him as at this moment, when he knew he was about to see the place where it had been taken from him. (chapter 16, dh)
I think Bruce Wayne is a loving parent, but not a good one. He is a psychologically tormented person who never got over his trauma or developed any healthy coping mechanisms but he just keeps ending up with them and doesn’t really know what to do with them.
Like Dick’s parents die right in front of him and Bruce is just “hey kid, my parents died in front of me to. And you know what helped me? Punching bad guys.”
And Jason? He finds this kid stealing his tires and he’s not afraid of Batman. He doesn’t seem afraid of anything. He’s got a big heart and cares a lot about people, but no one cares about him. So he goes “hey kid, you seem lost. You know what helps me when I’m feeling lost? Punching bad guys.”
With tim it’s a little more complicated. Bc this kid showed up at his front door and put him in a corner (tim saved him) and Bruce went, “hey kid, you seem pretty good at this. I do encourage you to find a different extracurricular activity… but yes, you can punch bad guys with me.”
And with Damian it’s even more complicated but in simplest terms Bruce and Dick look at Damian and go, “hey kid, you seem like you have some issues and a weird moral compass. Do you know what makes me feel better? Punching bad guys.”
Like shit bruce I’m no expert but maybe some talk therapy or grief counselling might help.
If we don’t get kh4 news soon I’m gonna start drawing fanart of the trailers that play inside my mind
I’ve been introduced to sk8 the infinity recently, and I’m really enjoying it since there is this very human like charm to it
I would draw a similar drawing to this with langa and reki but I can’t draw reki for the life of me
Alright I’ll bite. I want to know why ppl are writing smut for Miles, Gwen, and Hobie when they’re literally all minors??
Miles is 15. Gwen is 16. And Hobie is supposed to be Gwen’s age so he’s 16/17. I don’t understand how you’ll look at media revolving young characters and sexualize them that way, and some of y’all be grown ass adults doing this so that’s even worse. The only person you should be writing for is Miguel and even then y’all are going crazy with how you’re writing him and overdoing it, it’s insane. They’re amazing characters from an amazing story, why do y’all have to sexualize everything like damn.
If you have to age up a character to write smut for them, maybe you shouldn’t be writing period. But that’s just me because I have a fucking brain, so I’ll shut my mouth for now.
nobody got hurt so im allowed to giggle about this extremely looney tunes looking accident on a part of 64 i used to drive down at least once a week
dick grayson is so important to me. he’s kind, he’s so kind, he’s the safety net of the multiverse but he’s so angry. his parents are dead. his brother died and came back all wrong and he couldn’t do anything about it. he had to play the father role to a spoiled angry homicidal ten year old and yeah he loves damian so so much now but it was so hard in the beginning, on top of trying to be there for tim. he has to watch bruce act the way he does and his friends keep dying and he’s so so angry and he’s so tired but he isn’t allowed to be angry because angry dick is scary and angry dick is wrong but he’s so angry but he has to be kind because other people need him and-
Gwen receiving so much criticism over her character arc in ATSV is wild cuz that's literally the plot of the movie, that's what the movie is all about and that's what made it this good. That's what's intended to happen, she's repeating the mistake with a friend, and going for a redemption. Her first lines are literally "I hurt him and he wasn't the only one". You immediately know something bad will happen between her and Miles and that it will be, if not entirely, then mostly, her fault, which she is aware of when she's telling the story. The movie doesn't portray her as the best character and definitely not as the worst one, it gives her character development, just like her dad wasn't there for her at first and by the end of the film he was. No one's saying that she was entirely right, but that just like her dad, she saw that she wasn't there for a loved one and decided to try to fix the problem before It's too late - which is so much more than what a lot of characters usually do. Literally everyone makes mistakes, it's how she handled it that's great and as long as she doesn't repeat it (same for her dad too).
