bon j'vous conseil pas ce film, j'ai vu une critique qui disait que c'était un "nanar luxueux", ça m'a bien fait rire (quoi que nanar c'est un poil fort) mais ouais c'est vraiment pas terrible et c'est chic...ça m'énerve que ce film soit si décevant pppfff

j'ai envie de dire heureusement que queen dietrich et boyer sont là sinon bah ça serait dla série b (j'aime bien la série b en vrai)

Thinking of La Grande Illusion again and thinking back of that scene where german soldiers have to search through the prisoners's belongings until one of them goes toward Boeldieu's side of the room and Rauffenstein being like "No, no that one!", I just love that scene!

Listen….. Do Not Start Me On That Scene. It is one of my favourite. A gift that keeps on giving. First off, It starts with Boëldieu being a sassy bitch™ :

i mean look at him, Rauffenstein just entered unnanounced and orders the soldiers to not touch his things and he doesnt give a single damn like Yes I Know Im The Fav Here lakhsflakhflkds: 

Then Rauffenstein enters the room and straight up goes to him and is like “pls tell me you dont have anything against the rules in here”. They stand there looking at each other, shifting to SOFT MODE in an instant as he rest of the room vanishes : 

and because Boëldieu is a clever smartass and put the rope on the window he is like “no im not lying :)” and pulls out a charming smile and Rauffenstein is a SMITTEN MAN:

But then Boëldieu wonders why he didnt ask the same thing to the other prisoners and Rauff is like “they arent nobles it doesnt count” and mister Von Stroheim decides its the right time to pull out THIS FACE:

like??????? the heart-eyes??? The softness??????? Is that allowed??? is that all o w ed?????

But,,,,, it doesnt stop there,,,,,, because Boëldieu says “their voice is as valuable as ours” and Pierre Fresnay chooses NOW to go IN with the eyes:

ok le duo auclair - bernard c'est d'la bombe (j'aurais trop aimé qu'ils aient plus de scènes en commun ohlala)

j'aurais voulu qu'il dure 3h au moins (sa durée est suffisante hein)

par contre monsieur bernard c'est bien gentil de vivre pas très longtemps mais jfais comment pour choisir un film bien classe où il est un des premiers rôles pour les edits ohlala !
