Forgive me if this doesn't make sense but

Dean understands himself. He is not drowning in internalized homophobia. He doesn't not know that he's into men. What Dean is, however, is a liar. He lies to everyone, all the time. I think this touches on the queer experience in a way we dont always see in media. We always talk about coming out and coming out scenes but what we never talk about why we come out. It's because of how difficult the lying is. But deans lied about everything, all his life. Not just about his sexuality, or things related to hunting. But he lies (directly or by ommission) about the music he likes, the clothes he likes, literally everything, just to fit into this box of what everyone expects him to be. He understands himself, you just don't have the critical thinking skills to see past his lies, you take his word at face value even though the show has told you repeatedly that dean is a liar

I started watching 911, and from the first episode I could already feel myself getting attached to the characters. Found family is my favorite thing in the media, and I can see how the team will grow more into that, I really didn't expect to really like the show this early on.

Also that scene where Bobby asks for help from Hen and Buck, devastated me

Side note: I really like Abby.

Um, and I know that that's kind of controversial to say, and it'll look like it's egotistical 'cause I wasn't in the end of the show. Uh, which it is. I'm certainly partly fueled by that. But I think that, in a way, maybe it's a good thing, um, that the show, in my- to me, uh, I felt like the end of the show left- left me wanting more, and different- and it felt like it left- it left things unanswered. And it left storylines unresolved, and maybe open for future mining. So I'm gonna take that as a good thing, and like, maybe- maybe there is an opportunity to reboot or- or revisit, uh, the end of Supernatural in some way, at some point down the road. I think it would be so fun to- to dip our toes back into that, not maybe for another 15 seasons... but, you know, certainly 11 or 12."

I just finished the entire first season of 911. I only have a few things to say: Abby I understand you, yes, you do deserve to put yourself first. Bobby and Athena?? First date and I love them together already, I'm so glad that Hen has another chance with her wife, personally I wouldn't forgive something like that, but maybe there is a history there that I, as an audience, still don't know. Buck is going to be a mess after the break up isn't he?. Also I think there was not enough Chimney backstory, but there's still 7 seasons left so I'm sure I will get there eventually.

I really wanted to keep watching but it's 2.30 in the morning, I need to sleep. I'm so excited about season two, I know Eddie shows up in one of the first episodes of the season, not going to lie, he is the reason I finally decided to watch the show.

Conclusion: I'm afraid I have no choice but to let the show consume my entire soul 🫡
