Fining a driver for being late to a National Anthem an eye watering amount (20x the maximum fine for breaching the pit lane speed limit) is already quite something, but when you take into account that:

Said driver was late due to a medical issue personally attested to by an official Med-Ex doctor;

Who found the medical issue serious enough to require prescription medication to treat symptoms; and

Said driver is the new director of the GPDA (an association that specifically exists to promote the safety of Grand Prix drivers) -

- we have reached a level of irony so comedic one would be forgiven for thinking this would happen in a fanfiction rather than reality.

Yet the FIA have once again surpassed all expectations.

I have said this before (and will probably say it again and again) but I am so happy that Carlos is in Williams. He is an extremely talented driver and intelligent, he knows his stuff. Williams loves and appreciates him. He has a great teammate in Alex Albon who also is an extremely talented driver and very intelligent who also knows his stuff and they seem to have so much fun together

i have very specific type of photos of carlos that im obsessed with and that give me The urge to bite him. and i think im gonna keep on adding them to this post for an indefinite period of time.

can we just also briefly talk about Carlos saying that he wants to use his new role within the GPDA to somehow find a way to curb the cost of participating in junior categories? how anyone hates this man is beyond me
