you could hate carlos all you want, but if you think he deserved to be fined for coming late to the national anthem because he was ill and receiving medical assistance you're just plain wrong.
Do you really want to see Williams teammate games after what they did to Carlos today? I can’t think of anything more unappealing.
this is honestly so mild compared to what's happened to carlos in years and teams previously. he's not the only guy to have gotten the wrong strategy today and he's also not the only guy to have gotten deeply unlucky with the safety cars. like the team shouldn't have panicked about russell's tire deg or whatever, for sure, but the safety cars really killed him.
it's fine. i know each high-scoring points opportunity lost is so painful but i don't believe it's malicious or intentional, just incompetence. which is frustrating, but also part of the team's growth process. strategy for a lower midfield team is not the same for an upper midfield team (williams is here!!) is not the same for a frontrunner. we saw mclaren having these growing pains the last couple of seasons and it was frustrating for everyone then, too.
also none of it is alex's fault and i like it when teammates are real in formula 1
peace and love on planet earth <3
So glad to hear from Marta herself that she's fine, what a scary crash it was
yk, it might be an unpopular opinion, but carlos looks better in blue than he ever did in red

carlos is dejected and understandably so. getting shunted by teammate in opening lap, and then being overtaken while helping the said teammate might feel like a stab in the back.
I have neither love nor hate for alex, but what I want to know is when is carlos going to start biting? because he gets bitten everytime.
Yesterday I was pretty upset/disappointed yes, but my opinions come from the information I am given. We were told that Alex got information about staying behind Carlos but it turned out that he didn’t get that that information at all. So I’m not upset/ disappointed in Alex but the team for fucking up the communication.
They really need to do better, and I think they will. Sure they will probably fail more times but fighting like this is new for them.
Also even though Carlos had floor damage he kept up with the Ferraris. Imagine what he can do when it all goes right. Plus he started the race on used mediums while others started on new tyres.
Also the contact between Carlos and Alex on the first lap wasn’t Alex’s fault. With the speed he had and Carlos having to move out of the way for when Lando rejoined the track, he did what he could to try and get out of the way. Things like that are going to happen.
I will get upset and disappointed more times I am sure of that (at Carlos, Alex and Williams) but I will still be rooting for them.
Williams are treating Carlos a hell of a lot better than Ferrari did. The same goes for Alex. (Treating Carlos better than his last teammate) They do seem to have great chemistry together.

Fining a driver for being late to a National Anthem an eye watering amount (20x the maximum fine for breaching the pit lane speed limit) is already quite something, but when you take into account that:
Said driver was late due to a medical issue personally attested to by an official Med-Ex doctor;
Who found the medical issue serious enough to require prescription medication to treat symptoms; and
Said driver is the new director of the GPDA (an association that specifically exists to promote the safety of Grand Prix drivers) -
- we have reached a level of irony so comedic one would be forgiven for thinking this would happen in a fanfiction rather than reality.
Yet the FIA have once again surpassed all expectations.
