The Carbono karting days lore is too cute, too wholesome. I must protect them
Gaëtan: “P8. P8. Great job. P8, P9. Well done. Great teamwork on these last laps. Good management. Really well done. Really strong race, solid race. Solid race."
James: “Vamos, Carlos! I’m so proud, so impressed. That was just teamwork in the absolute maximum. I can see now why you won in Singapore, well done. That’s so much to process and you did a brilliant job with it. I can’t wait to see how we keep going this season. Great job.”
Carlos: “Thank you, mate. Thank you, guys. Good job. Good memories from Singapore.”
Gaetan: “Yeah, yeah, I remember.”
& during the race, James Hinchcliffe saying, "What williams are doing, is the truck & trailer. Sainz is the innovator of this."

Carlos, Roberto and Lando in Monaco | 19 May 2025
Fining a driver for being late to a National Anthem an eye watering amount (20x the maximum fine for breaching the pit lane speed limit) is already quite something, but when you take into account that:
Said driver was late due to a medical issue personally attested to by an official Med-Ex doctor;
Who found the medical issue serious enough to require prescription medication to treat symptoms; and
Said driver is the new director of the GPDA (an association that specifically exists to promote the safety of Grand Prix drivers) -
- we have reached a level of irony so comedic one would be forgiven for thinking this would happen in a fanfiction rather than reality.
Yet the FIA have once again surpassed all expectations.
ALEX ALBON YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL TO ME
Something really interesting to me about Lando saying he doesn’t care about being remembered in history and just wants his career to be stories he can tell his kids and they can tell their kids and yet he’s said multiple times before how he won’t stop talking about mental health and being open about it because he gets messages about how much it has helped individual people. The fact that he doesn’t want to make history but does value making an impact. It’s really kind beautiful.
i think a few people need a refresher on franco colapinto so let’s get this straight:
a year ago he was starting his first f2 season
he has less f2 experience than all the rookies in the grid, and he still managed to bring points to a team that (at the time of him joining) had only scored 4 points
he scored points in his second race
last season he brought 5 points to williams in nine races (and at circuits he had never raced before)
he had three days to properly prepare for his f1 debut
i see a lot of people talking about how “franco is just good pr he’s not a good driver” and that just. baffles me. because sure, franco has sponsors now. but people forget that he doesn’t come from money, that his later career was largely supported by williams, that he initially couldn’t afford to move up to f2—that the only reason he eventually could pay the costs of f2 was because argentina started backing him as a country.
so yeah. put some respect on his name.
