The tone of the messages that I have been getting from Gazans are increasingly desperate and negative. Can ICC end the siege? Can we talk about that. I know everyone is tired of boosting personal gofundmes

I think it’s crazy that people were allowed to get away with essentially running Ahmed (90-ghost) off of Tumblr because of a mass campaign dedicated to calling Palestinians and Gazans asking for funds “scammers”.

Like, people were really going mask off and essentially reverting to Republican ways of speaking by going “well if they’re poor, why do they have phones?” “why’s the way they talk so weird?” “[x thing white people think only exists in western countries ] doesn’t exist in Palestine”

And they were allowed to get away with it. And people listened. And people agreed. And people harassed Ahmed so bad he had to leave Tumblr. And those people are still on here, posting their regularly scheduled content like they didn’t participate in one of the worst anti Arab campaigns I’ve ever seen.

Hello, as you know we have returned to genocide, death and destruction... martyrs are everywhere, there is no security... today is supposed to be a day of joy and happiness and people visit each other to celebrate and not to mourn and offer condolences for the loss of their loved ones.😔

No food or drink and the crossing is closed... Eid al-Fitr is a holiday for exchanging gifts and giving children money but the situation is extremely difficult.😔😢

There has been no genuine acknowledgent of the horrors of the Nakba, no acknowledgement of ethnic cleansing, no acknowledgement of the destruction of the land in trying to hide the genocide of 1948 through greenwashing, there has been no acknowledgement of the fact that Gaza has been an open air prison, and that Hamas has every right to push back against the oppression of the Zionist state. Right now another genocide is being carried out in front of our eyes, with enthusiastic encouragement from the Western world, the most complicit being the USA. It was always about re-occupation of Gaza and today the Zionist state violated the ceasefire. I am scared for my friends. I am terrified and I do not know how to help except to keep the fundraisers circulating.
