Defend And Protect Black Women!!

A 31yo Black woman & her 18 week baby died as a result of what a maternity report called ‘cultural bias’ at Liverpool Hospital. Staff failed to address the pain she was in earlier and medical notes stated she was being ‘difficult’. https://t.co/TNFOouBcxs

A probe at Liverpool Women's Hospital finds delayed diagnosis and treatment of a pregnant black woman.

Defend and Protect Black Women!!

Misogynoir medical bias is KILLING Black women disproportionately. If you know even a little history of how Black women have been systematically dehumanized and objectified in the medical industrial complex -you'd know this is FAR too common and it's despicable. These medical professionals should be losing their licenses to practice medicine.

Clinicians' Perspectives on Racism and Black Women's Maternal Health
PubMed Central (PMC)
The objective of this study was to explore clinician perceptions of how racism affects Black women's pregnancy experiences, perinatal care,

"Black women are three to four times more likely to experience complications during pregnancy and childbirth and die from these complications compared with white women. Additionally, infants born to Black women are two times more likely to be born premature (<37 weeks of gestation) compared with infants born to white women."

"In the 19th century, J. Marion Sims performed experimental surgery on enslaved Black women without their consent to develop a cure for vesicovaginal fistula. These experiments facilitated the generations of two key health care scripts about Black women in the context of reproductive health care: (1) it is acceptable to perform procedures on Black women without their consent; and (2) Black women have a high tolerance for pain."

"Although there is a plethora of research documenting Black women's experiences of racism and discrimination while navigating perinatal care, much less has been reported regarding the relationship between racism and clinical care through the lens of clinicians' caring for Black women during pregnancy and childbirth."

Story written by @rumiandroses

Majed and his family of five endured the unthinkable as they fled Gaza for Egypt, seeking safety from relentless violence. Once surrounded by the comforts of home and the promise of a better future, they now find themselves displaced, without the means to build a new life. The war brought their lives to a standstill: Majed’s eldest son lost his job, his other son had to halt his education, and his daughter’s dreams of graduating university were shattered.

Now in Egypt, they face yet another uphill battle. With skyrocketing rent prices and a lack of resources, they are unable to find stable housing or cover the cost of education. Majed desperately wants to provide a safe and secure environment for his family—a place where they can begin to heal, rebuild, and dream once more.

Their home, once a symbol of hope and warmth, is now rubble. They’ve lost everything, but not their determination to create a better future. Majed is humbly asking for help to secure a safe home, resume his children’s education, and stand on his feet again.

Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward giving Majed’s family a chance to rebuild their lives and recover their dignity. Your support can transform their despair into hope and their uncertainty into security.

Please, if you can, donate to their GoFundMe [HERE], or share their story so others can help.

"Please Help Us: Shadi and His Family Are Desperate for Your Support"

"Please Help Us: Shadi And His Family Are Desperate For Your Support"

I am Suheila, Shadi's wife, and today I write to you with a heart full of pain, hoping you might be the light we desperately need. Our life was simple and full of love until the war tore everything apart. 💔

Shadi was once a fisherman, providing for our family with the catch of the sea. We lived peacefully, but that all changed when the airstrikes destroyed everything. 💥 His boat, our only source of income, was obliterated, and with it, our future seemed to disappear.

Since that day, we've lost everything. Our home was bombed, and now we are left with nothing but rubble and fear. 😢 Shadi is the only one holding everything together. He cares for me, our five children, and his elderly mother, "Um Shadi," who tries to support us despite her age. But we have nothing left to give.

"Please Help Us: Shadi And His Family Are Desperate For Your Support"

Every night, as bombs fall around us, Shadi holds our little daughter, Mira, trying to comfort her in the midst of the chaos. The fear in her eyes breaks my heart. 😔 I watch my children live in constant terror, and it hurts more than words can express.

"Please Help Us: Shadi And His Family Are Desperate For Your Support"

We are running out of hope, and I don’t know how much longer we can keep going like this. We need your help more than ever. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference. 🙏 It can bring us food, shelter, and safety. It can give us the hope we’ve lost.

Please, don’t let our family suffer alone in this nightmare. Help us survive, help us rebuild. Your kindness can save us from this pain. ❤️

Think about it tho! The average male gymnast is ~5’4-5’8 and BUFFFFF, plus Vil would like it because of its grace and artistry! Epel is taller than Carlos Yulo (156 compared to 150) soooo, idk it makes sense in my head.

Anyways here’s some pics of male gymnasts bc they’re cool, don’t forget to support your local gymnasts (men and women 🙏)

Watching Pope Francis funeral and I just can’t help but get choked up. He was such a good man and truly embodies what it means to be Catholic. I pray we will get a pope who loves.
