Baby, I'm standing at the great abyss of love and...and I'm teeterin'!
80s vibes? 10/10
Queer culture and metaphors through vampirism? Also 10/10
Plot and dialogue and overall film construction? B+ You Tried!
honestly this movie was great. It wasn't the best movie ever made but damn was it fun. the vibes were up. the homosexuality was homosexualing. I loved it. It had a sad ending though, they killed those vampires for being gay ๐ญ Michael killed his boyfriend bc he had internalized homophobia ๐ญ
(tbh that made it even more queer culture tho)
overall this movie slapped fr fr. Would watch again. The costumes sets and vibes and aesthetics were literally on point. hell yeah.
you ever see a fictional man and just. deep in your heart you know he's a he/him lesbian. butch vibes off the charts. absolutely immaculate specimen

(The Picture Of Billy, Brooke & Chance at the phone booth is like my favorite picture ever. Chance was adorable in this film.)
the great mouse detective :P
Hey friend!!
This was technically a rewatch, but I hadn't seen it since I was, like, eight years old so it felt pretty new to me! I love animated kids films and this one is very endearing.
Plus, now I've seen more Sherlock Holmes adaptations and can safely say I get the references now!
Thanks for the rec, I had a fun, wholesome movie night tonight thanks to you <3
80's, baby. Main blog: @airlocksandaviaries Submit me movie recs and I'll add 'em to the watch/rewatch list! If it's good, great. If it's bad, even better. Disclaimer: I was not alive in the 80s. No, I do not wish I was. I can appreciate a time period and be grateful for the rights I (mostly) have today at the same time. LGBTQIA friendly blog. TERFS fuck off.
