I think I used to believe that this season was in some way more authentic than the classic bad boy trope but rewatching it, it feels really conventional. I think in particular Noora's "activism" or like moralistic assertion of her superiority over William feels really forced, whereas William's "good side" feels equally as contrived. I also think the way that the Noora sees Eva this season, as a party girl with delusions about Jonas, also just makes me sad! But there is, of course, a chemistry between them and I'm interested to see what my new thoughts will be once shit goes down. Episode 4 for the absolute win btw.
What seems to differentiate Noora & William from the classic stereotypical bad-boy-gets-the-girl-who-hates-him-to-fall-in-love-with-him trope? Or do you not think their story so far is at all different from this trope?
alex is the first boy you ever loved hunny youβve known him for like a week
Idk if you can give your opinion on this buttttt, Sanaβa season is underrated and possibly one of the most relevant seasons for modern day (along with season 3) and it gets overlooked because people think the canβt relate to the character because sheβs Muslim. I really think her story is important for everyone to watch because it might help them understand the struggles teenage muslim girls go through growing up in a country where Muslims arenβt really accepted by society.
i agree with this so much!! i think the reason sana season is underrated or overlooked is because of the fact that it was the last season and a lot of it was spent tying up loose ends. and so many people focused on other characters and how their stories were going to end instead of focusing on sana and how her story was progressing. i personally donβt have as many problems with the plot as some people do but i really wish that they gave us a last episode with sana instead of the multiple point of views thing because while it was nice to see all the characters we loved, it felt a little (to me) like we were cheating sana of her episode. i wish they had like a stand alone episode with everyoneβs point of view. she is one of my favorite female characters and her season, like you said, is so important. iβm not a muslim but this season made me aware of so much more that goes on as a muslim in a muslim minority country. she is so strong and brave and i canβt wait to see how her story fleshes out in skam france because i love imane so much as well.
fuck the sobbe/rosander argument i will only call them sterkerdanbowielicious from now on
iβm guessing this dance thing is the equivalent of the afternoon isak ditches the boys to be with even. which means we get our first meeting on friday π€‘π€‘
but also it could be kosegruppa which would be cute as well but i donβt want to wait so long for them to meet
but also, if they were going to the beach this week, how is noor going to come if she has her dance show? or was a mistaken and itβs just the weekend their planning on going for
robbe is the wtfock season 2 lead????? thank you skam godsΒ
i watched it in the middle of a huge skam binge (catching up on all the remakes). i remember the big ones but iβm not sure about everything
does anyone have a link to druck season 3 with subs? iβm specifically looking for episode 6
