one of my favorite panels of Dick is when he's wearing a leather jacket over a torn up Discowing costume and now that I've been reading the Titans comics for a while, I finally have context for it:

The New Titans (1988) #86

my man's had his team anniversary party crashed and most of his friends kidnapped and injured while one friend gets possessed and tries to destroy them all only to get murdered by his own father, who Dick then has to fight in the above panels. a couple other's are presumed dead as well. Titans Tower gets destroyed so he's basically homeless except for his shitty apartment. he's having relationship problems because his girlfriend feels like he's smothering her. oh and his brother died not too long ago (in comic time. in real time it's been a few years). also some Time Travel Shenanigans are going on in a weird B plot that's probably going to turn into an A plot soon. he's really going through it

First of all, I am very sorry for the delay; real life is kicking my ass a little But, we prevail! And this month's prompts might be my favorite so far -- they have such a Slade/Jason vibe that I can't get enough of. Right now the AO3 collection has 49 fics!!! That's almost 50 written in less than a year for a ship that, just a few years ago, was a bonafied rare pair.
