The spy chasing me throws a tracking device at my car. The throw is perfectly timed and the small, round device hits the bumper perfectly flush. However, since the tracker is magnetic and my shitty car is plastic, it bounces off
I love the legitimate fear in his eyes here.
It's less that he's shaken by the fact that he almost died, and more by the fact that he would have died a hero. A man willing to die for the justice of the denizens of Hell, believing in the friends he has to carry out the mission. And it's THAT fact, that possibility that his reputation would have been RUINED if not for pure dumb luck on his part, scares him. He would have been fine dying, he wouldn't give a shit if it was in the blaze of glory. But the fact that he would have died a HERO is what scares him more.
THAT'S how you write a good villain.
@omnivorousshipper As you can see, pancakes are circular fluffy disks of delicious buttery goodness, not bowls of syrup! 🥞🥞🥞 These pancakes are fit to feed a Hobbs!

(Head?)Canon: Owen will always bring up him being thrown out of a plane into a discussion, no matter what said discussion is about. *Letty and Owen arguing about something ridiculous* Owen: "yeah well did you know I got thrown out of a plane?" Letty: "I was thrown out of a tank!" Owen: "Well not everything's about you!" The possibilities are endless!

The possibilities are endless!! I absolutely love this headcanon friend!
I can absolutely see Owen doing this to either guilt trip the Toretto crew, or just brag that he survived being thrown out of a plane
I can see a few scenarios with this
1. When Hattie joins the crew for a mission, she listens to them talk and Owen brings it up
"You know I got thrown out of a plane, right?"
"Yes, Shaw, we know. We were there-"
"Yeah," Hattie interrupts, not looking up from whatever she's doing. "I was the one who pushed you."
Owen just glares at her but the crew are all like 😳 WHAT?! YOU WERE THROWN OUT OF TWO PLANES?!
2. When Owen brings it up, Letty always mentions the tank, but eventually everyone starts to add things
-Roman: "I was pushed out a plane too!"
-Brian: "I've been forced to jump off a building!"
-Luke: "I had to jump out of a building!"
This goes on for a while, leaving Owen pouting because the attention is no longer on him

Thanks for the headcanon friend! I love it!
Part 1
Sitting next to Letty in a booth across from the two strange men, Owen gnawed on his bottom lip. He had no idea what to think about the men
They had introduced themselves as Roman and Tej, being fairly friendly towards Owen
He didn't want to admit it, but Owen knew that neither would hurt him. Especially Roman, who was actually really funny
And had some really shiny jewelry
So shiny in fact, Owen got lost looking at the man's watch when Letty ran a hand through his hair
Blinking, Owen frowned up at her
"What do you want to eat, sweetheart?" She smiled kindly
Looking down at the menu again, Owen pointed a large burger
"Please?"
"You sure you can eat that much?" Letty raised an eyebrow
Owen puffed out his chest
"Deck says I'm like a black hole!" He wasn't sure what his brother meant by that, but be took pride in it nonetheless
"People say the same thing about me, too, buddy!" Roman laughed
"Got that right." Tej mumbled from where he was looking at his own menu
While Roman had been very friendly and had a very shiny watch, Owen was a bit more interested in the small device Tej occasionally would bring it
Owen had seen the large blocky mobile phone his mother used, but the thing Tej had was completely different. It was sleek and didn't seem to have any visible buttons
Owen wanted it
Soon enough, a server came around and took their orders, sending a kind smile to Owen. He nodded back politely
"Oh?"
"Yeah, Let?"
"What's the last thing you remember?" She asked softly
Owen frowned and bit his bottom lip again in thought
"I was at my grandpa's house and he just said good night, but I wasn't sleepy. So, I was really quiet so I wouldn't wake Deck and snuck into Hatt's room. I've been reading her my favorite book!" Owen said the last part with pride. His teachers said he was one of the best readers in the class
"Who's Hatts?"
"My little sister!"
Letty stared at him with wide eyes
Owen stiffened. Did he say something wrong? That happened sometimes when he was meeting with his parents' friends. It never ended well for him
But Letty's expression changed quickly as a smiled appeared on her lips again
"What else do you remember?"
"Well, I had been reading but felt really sleepy. So, me and Hatts fell asleep. And then I woke up cold and wet. And met you." Owen said quietly
Letty nodded at him and looked about to ask something else when their food arrived. When Owen's eyes landed on his, he felt his stomach rumble
He was so hungry, he didn't notice the looks the adults were sending him as he finished off almost all the food
Now full, he watched the adults work on their food much more slowly. Well, except for Roman. He was already ordering a second meal
"Let?" Owen tugged on her sleeve
"Yes, Oh?"
"May I be excused to go to the loo?"
"Sure. It's just right over there. Do you want me to go with you?"
Owen shook his head quickly. He didn't need anyone. He was old enough
Without looking back, Owen walked towards the restroom and saw a man holding a device just like Tej's. It wouldn't be hard at all to steal it
As he stepped into the restroom, Owen's eyes flickered around
If he left the restroom, Letty would see him and he would only have a small amount of time to make it to the front door of the restaurant. And that wasn't taking into account of someone stopping him
Looking up, Owen saw a window above one of the stalls. It looked low enough for him to reach
And to make things even more perfect, a man was leaving the other stall. It only took a small bump and a quiet "excuse me, sir", and Owen had his own little device
Locking the stall door behind him, Owen let a smirk spread across his young face. Far too easy
In less than a minute, Owen had the window open and was wiggling out of it. He landed on a large garbage bin and found himself in the alley behind the restaurant
Smirking even more, Owen made his way out of the alley and onto the familiar streets of London
Words cannot describe how much I adore this drabble!
Mama Shaw comparing Lukard’s compatibility to Rattie and Rowen, Owen defending his boyfriend’s honor with “he’s funny”, Letty being the only one in the crew who’s acceptable, the crew being absolutely hopeless, Mama Shaw nagging about her kids needing more training, Deckard being the only one of his siblings who’s still sharp, Owen whining, Owen and Hattie protecting their lovable yet vulnerable partners, THE REALIZATION THAT THE SHAW SIBS HAVE GONE SOFT BECAUSE OF THE TORETTO CREW AND THEIR PARTNERS!!!
Asdfghjkl I love this so much! Thank you Omni! 💞💞💞
Hello again Omni! And happy Friday! I got an idea: what if Mama Shaw tagged along on a Nobody mission? Imagine: her critiquing everything her kids do, complaining about the team, and judging her children's partners.
Hello again friend! Sorry for the later response, I had to plan out some lesson plans with my teaching group
This is such a fun idea!! Mama Shaw would be her kids' ultimate critic!

Narrowing her eyes, Queenie Shaw watched from above as Toretto's crew worked to take down the small army of goons that were trying to keep them from their chosen target
The man was an international hacker who had fled the country when he stole top secret information
Mixed in the crowd, she could see her three children all fighting
Owen looked far too gleeful as he kept goons away from his little boyfriend, Pearce. Owen fought off the men and women with abandon as Pearce tried to throw a punch or two at the people who rarely got through Owen's guard
Meanwhile, Hattie was off in the corner, protecting Ramsey as she had a hacking battle with their target. She seemed full immersed in her computer battle while Hattie never once left her side
But it was Deckard and Luke at the center of the fighting that caught Queenie's eye
The two men worked off each other spectacularly
Back to back, they protected each other and traded weapons when needed. It was almost as if they were reading each other's minds as they went through enemy after enemy
Queenie was immensely proud of her children, but they would need improvements. They had all seemed to become a bit sloppy when fighting
She would need to have have train properly with a master she chose
Viewing the crew they were fighting alongside of, Queenie could see why they were getting sloppy
None or Toretto's crew knew how to fight. Even though Ortiz had obvious training, it was a mix of different arts. Maybe she could convince the younger woman to join her children's training
But the rest of the crew was hopeless in Queenie's eyes
Why her children even stuck with the crew was beyond her comprehension
Shaking her head, Queenie left them to their fight. She needed a strong cuppa
---
"Mum, we don't need more training!" Owen whined
They were back at Nowhere, sitting across their mother in a room she had commandeered. None of Nobody's agents had gone against the Shaw matriarch
"With what I saw today, you need it." She said firmly
Deckard sighed
He thought they were past their mother managing them
"We're fine mum." He tried to convince her
"You are still on top of your game, Dex, but your siblings need a refresher. And you know they won't learn if you're not there."
"Oi!" Hattie hissed. "My fighting skills are perfectly fine!"
"Trust me, you need more." Queenie sniffed and then pointed her cup at both Owen and Hattie. "And we need to discuss your partners."
"What?" Owen's voice dropped dangerously
"Don't you start." Queenie warned. "Hatts, your Ramsey is a smart tart, but she needs to learn how to protect herself while hacking. You can do it, so can she. And Oh. Why are you with that bloke? Hes more bark than bite!"
"He's funny." Owen mumbled, not wanting to admit anything about Roman's fighting style
"Jokes aren't going to save his hide in a fight. You should be with someone who can have you back, like Hobbs has Dex's."
Deckard glanced over at Owen and could visibly see his little brother's anger boiling over
Sighing once again, Deckard stood to make more tea
They would need it

Deckard, running into Sam’s room: Do you want to make $5?
Sam: How?
Deckard: I need you to take the blame for something.
Luke, from the hallway: Oh my god!
Sam: What did you do?
Deckard: I can’t tell you. Yes or no, no questions asked.
Luke: OH MY GOD!
Sam: Make it $10.
Obsessed with dazai chatacter analyses that view him as a constant cry for help especially in his mafia years. His first few years in the mafia or in general after being taken in by mori are just a constant chain of actions taken as a desperate cry for help, to be seen and helped and at the same time he’s pushing everyone away. Then later on when he’s reaching the end of his time in the mafia during his mid-late teens he seems to have taken in the fact that no one’s just gonna go and help him, so his actions are less dramatic in that way. And then Oda. And chuuya. God I have Thoughts on all of this. But general takeaway about dazai in his early teens is that he was just a kid alone in a cold container and alienated by every adult in his life who probably needs a hug.
This said I stand my ground that he is an absolute piece of shit and I hate him more than anything else in the world
