Tony: Why do I have this feeling you’re about to mess up my entire life?
Bucky: A littlke mess never hurt anybody, Doll.
If you are unfamiliar, this is my Arkhamverse OC Bloodshot.
Full ref sheet coming soon! :DDDD
Okay maybe I'm grasping at nothing, but hear me out:
We all know Peter has spidey senses. He used them to defeat Mysterio in Far From Home.
But we see Peter struggling with them all throughout the movie:
(Peter not sensing the banana)
(Peter not sensing Nick Fury in the room)
(Peter not sensing everything around him in the pub was an illusion)
(Finally, Peter not being able to decide whether Happy is real or fake)
Now here we wonder, why is that happening?
Take into account the events of Infinity War. When Thanos snapped his fingers, unlike others, Peter could sense his death coming, that's why he fell into Tony's arms saying, “Mr Stark I don't feel so good”. Imagine such a terrible thing happening to you, feeling the pain everywhere yet not being able to fix it. This could and HAS led to post traumatic stress in Peter. PTSD leads to changes in the body and impotence is one of them. Also the added trauma of his mentor dying? Anyone's mind could've become fucked up after that.
“Okay, so where are you going with this?” you must be thinking.
Well, what if Peter sensed something was unnatural about the water monster (other than the fact it was a monster made up of water, of course) so he shot something at it, just because? But he turned out to be “wrong” because it went right through the drones. He was right about it, but he didn't know then.
Wrongly sensing something so big like that would have created some serious self doubt in Peter.
That's why he must have discarded every tingle in his skin that sensed the illusions around Mysterio in the pub. That's why he must have ignored the possibility of someone being in his and Ned's room. That's why he asked Happy if he was real when he got off the plane.
It's because he was doubting himself and the very abilities that made him Spiderman.
Peter wasn't dumb. He was right about shooting a web at the water monster.
Disney just launched a teaser trailer for Encanto, and I am in love! The story takes place in Colombia 🇨🇴 (where my family's from!) and follows a young woman named Mirabel who doesn't have any powers, despite the rest of her family having them.
The trailer looks absolutely beautiful with bright colours and music. The characters look so cool. And MIRABEL LOOKS JUST LIKE ME! 😭 It feels so good to be able to see my culture being represented so stunningly, without gangs or cartels being involved. It's amazing that I know have a Disney character that LOOKS LIKE ME. Her big nose and short curly hair with tanned skin, AND CULTURAL CLOTHES! And the diversity in this movie is on point too! 'Cuz I noticed a cute little black kid and I think there was a white character as well, alongside a couple tanned (probably indigenous descendant) kids as well. Which is nice because it acknowledges Colombia's native and black populations, who are at the center of Colombia's culture! Overall, I can't wait for this movie!
brian: please hold me. the stress isn't good for the baby
dom: what baby??
brian: me. i'm the baby
a friendship between spider kid and loki could have been a cute thing i guess so i brought you some sketches of peter and his mischievous friend /don’t tag as any ship/
thinking about when i was small, how my mom told me that pipe cleaners were just a tool until people started idly shaping things with them and it grew so popular that they were marketed as crafting materials. and that story about how the original frisbees were disposable pie plates that students flattened to throw. and how when i was a child i had a wooden mancala set with shiny, colorful stones, but on invention it was played with rocks and grooves dug into the dirt. and middle school, paper football and tic-tac-toe and mash and mad libs, games that just need pen and paper. and before that, games of pretend with pirates and princes and masked marauders. how at slumber parties after lights out, we used to whisper storytelling games, i say one sentence and you say the next. and shadow puppets. and the way all the kids in the neighborhood used to divide into teams and throw fallen pine cones at one another. and the floor is lava game, and the quiet game, and the games i play with my coworkers that are just words and retention. and "put a finger down" on the high school bus. and little girls clapping together, and how the first jump-rope was undoubtedly just a length of rope who knows how long ago, and how natural it is to play, how we seek play at every age and with any resources we have and with whatever time we can squeeze it into in a day. i'm not an anthropologist or a psychologist but i think after food and shelter and water and air what comes next is games and stories and laughter. i think that there is nothing -- not sex or fighting or forming unlikely bonds with animals -- there is nothing more human than to play.
I tell you, when I actually die, some people are going to get seriously haunted.
Deckard: Luke and I are no longer friends
Luke: Deck, that is the worst way to tell people we’re dating
Pony: The human body is 70% water. So we’re basically just cucumbers with anxiety.
Steve: Excuse me, with the amount of salt and alcohol that I consume, I’m more like an anxiety pickle.
Why do you think Owen didn't give Letty up during Fast and Furious 6? Pride? Friendship? Stubborness? It would have saved him a lot of trouble!
It honestly would have saved him a boat load of trouble!! The stupid boy! 🙄
But no, it wasn't that simple for Owen
Sure, he could have just told Letty to get out of there and she was out of the crew. Thus making Dom and his crew chase after her and not Owen
But Owen didn't want to let Letty go
Mostly, 1) she wouldn't have listened to him and done what he said. And 2) his ego is too big
He's not about to let one of his best drivers go. Or the one person he's connected to in a long time
Owen even admits it (in the most obnoxious way ever) that he would be sad to see Letty get hurt or killed. He doesn't want to let her go
He thinks the best thing for her is to stay with him. Not the guy who didn't even check if she was actually dead or not
So, I think it was a mix of pride, stubbornness, and loneliness that made Owen keep Letty in his crew and not hand her over to Dom
Owen most likely had a bad read on Dom and assumed he was just some street thug who got lucky in Rio. He saw Dom's bleeding heart and didn't want that to hurt Letty
Especially when Owen knew Dom had moved on with Elena
So, Owen was doing it for selfish reasons. But maybe he was convincing himself it was for Letty's benefit as well
Thanks for the question friend!
