me trying to explain how shuri and namor are not trauma bonded but in fact they share soul ties

While not technically a Namuri/Nashuri shipper, I have been LOVING the fan art, theories, and even Tenoch himself stoking the fire with some of his social media posts. In the context of this ship, the way Letitia looks in the background of this pic cracks me up. All I can hear in my head is Shuri saying, "If this man with his happy feet doesn't stop dancing with everyone he comes across... I've created a monster." Because, of course, Namor has loosened up a bit because of a certain princess. But like I said, I'm not a shipper--just sayin'. 😏

When Namor stabbed Shuri he stared at her and said “it could have been different.” obviously he’s talking about them fighting together and not against one another right. but why isn’t this something that he says when he kills queen ramonda? he didn’t want to kill her, he only threatens to do so when she says she’ll send wakanda after talokan. but when he stabs shuri he says “it could have been different.”

I still haven't read enough of Mari (got caught up reading Far Sector) but I'll try to do her bc I’m curious about what my brain will come up with.

First impression

My first introduction to her was JL cartoon that I watched when I was ten and I really liked John and Shayera and she was inbetween them. I got really mixed feelings on one hand I wanted her to get away for John and Shayera, on other her looks, attitude and powers were really cool for me.

Impression now

Now I still think her designs and powers rocks!  But also I think she’s fierce, honest, confrontational and not afraid to call out ppl on their bs and I love that. + Some of her stories is genuinely so damn funny! In her first story she’s super famous model who is concerned about animal rights and Superman confuses her for villain first. Then her sort-of nephew gets sort of eaten by game machine for experiments.+She genuinely doesn’t give a fuck about feeling ashamed of showing her attraction to someone (they really made it weird but I think it’s partly bc of sexism since they made Zatanna have beef with her over that).

Favorite moment

In comics so far when she surprised and impressed Clark  by being able to hurt him.

In her animated incarnation, this moment sure changed 10 yo me forever.

Idea for a story

I genuinely can’t think of one but maybe team up with Talia (I just want Talia team up with cool gals but also they’re both kinda enviromentalists (at ;east in starting stories with Mari).

Unpopular opinion

She isn’t talked about enough to get unpopular opinions 😭. But apparently she’s alienfucker.

Favorite relationship

Probably her and Clark. But also her flirting with Martian Manhunter is entertaining.

I think she liked to paint her nails green (this is stupid but I like it for some reason)
