I've always sort of believed that Alucard, despite all the blood and murder, is a pretty caring lover. He always struck me to be the silent doting type. Maybe even teasing a little from time to time. He likes to make you blush and he loves to have you wrapped up with him- in his coat, in his bedsheets, in his arms- he doesn't care what he just wants you close and loves to keep his nose buried in your neck or hair.

When it comes to sex it hardly differs. Alucard is very tender and serious. Not that he's unable to have a laugh, but that he takes times like that very seriously. He's much stronger than you, he knows this, so he's careful to treat you tenderly. If you ask, however, he will be rougher. He'll almost always do what you tell him.

I'm sure he has a few kinks. I mean, living so long how can you not? Yet, he's surprisingly vanilla for a vampire, especially one as ancient as him. Biting, for one, is very exciting. The thrill of tasting your blood while being inside of you is like nothing else. It makes him feel even closer to you. A part of you. It's part of his own game with himself. Seeing how long he's able to restrain himself until he's cornering you in the darkness of your bedroom and whispering to you if you'll have him. He knows loving you is a dangerous thing for what is left of his heart. But whatever human is left within him cannot help but love you fervently and passionately.

Yeah sure we’ve all binged a long fic, but have you ever read a WIP and followed someone’s life?

Tidbits of information - (“I graduated today!”) - and small joys (“It’s my birthday!”) and you get to be there to say “This chapter made me cry, happy birthday, thank you for gifting us this”.

I remember reading this fic of someone at the end of high school, older than me then. They seemed infinitely wise, spoke of their future career and getting into the college they wanted. I remember them posting on days they felt like nothing could bring them down - and on days the whole world did and it’s the aftermath of a hospital visit. Cancer, I think it was, their father. I got to the end of the story, I know their father was fine, but also they got to finish their WIP. I graduated three years later than them, still dutifully wrote thank you notes in every comment. I wonder if they remember me, or just the collective of people reading the story as it updates.

Four years ago I was into my first year of university, my first year of figuring out being out in public spaces. I made excuses as to why my name didn’t match my paperwork and read a fic on the train, the same five chapters over and over again for the next years as I thought the story abandoned. It updated this week after such a long hiatus, I left another thank you comment.

There’s an author I love, they update their stories like a clockwork. When they don’t, I check their blog, just to see if their doing alright, not because I feel like they owe me, just to ensure whether I better get out my laptop to write that really detailed university level essay chapter analysis to get them smiling when their day sucked.

And then, once, when I was 17, I read a fic that hadn’t updated in over a decade. I wasn’t even in primary school when it started posting. On the last chapter, I left a comment that, in retrospect, was horribly rambly and most likely full of grammar mistakes. The author replied and though I couldn’t see their face, I thought of them crying. They were married now, had children, and hadn’t thought about this fic in years. They went through their files again, found another half written chapter and an outline. I got two new chapters to read that year.

And then, recently, someone told me they got back into writing original fiction because of my comments. I get to read nearly weekly chapters.

I love binge reading a finished fic, but nothing is ever going to top the feeling of anticipation of waiting for a chapter, the pure joy when someone tells you I was done with this, but you made me think of it again, so this is for you.

Anyway, I think we should romanticize reading WIPs more, growing up alongside the authors writing the stories we love.

At first, he is surprised as well. People acknowledge how well he kills things. No one important ever compliments him on his looks. His eyes widen, before they glitter with warmth and he gets coy again. The fic I'm currently working on as a side project (which I apparently won't shut up about) literally has Madara falling in love with Tobirama's fiancée (it's an arranged marriage too) and his feelings are mutual so like... this is my shit right there lmao. And it’s also why I had to make this a hc post instead of a one shot thing, because I know now from experience that this stuff needs some heavy build up that I just can’t achieve in less than (at least) ten chapters. ↳ I feel like this is true for all Uchiha (up to a certain degree at least) but especially true for Madara that there is nothing, and I mean nothing strong enough to stand between them and the person they love if that love is reciprocated. Love comes before anything for the Uchiha and they will build their moral code around that. An arranged marriage with someone else will not deter them from being with their lover. That works both ways — it would be the same thing if THEY were the one stuck in an arranged marriage.

↳ In simpler terms, what I mean is that Madara does not give a fuck if you’re married to his best friend. If he loves you and you love him back, he will feel absolutely NO guilt about going behind Hashirama’s back and fucking his spouse. And he will be an asshole about it. Not in the sense that he’s going to brag to people or tell Hashirama, though. He would never, because that could simply ruin your life, and as much as he can be petty at times, he still cares about you. I mean that in the sense that he will try to convince you to talk Hashirama into divorce, and depending on the type of relationship you have, he might go as far as to use the fact that you’re married as a way to boost his ego, especially when he’s fucking you.

↳ “He could never make you beg for his cock like this, could he ?” “Do you think of me when he fucks you ?” “You’re such a fucking slut, taking another man’s cock while your husband sits at home alone” — Stuff like that. If he really wants to be an asshole, he could try to get you pregnant with his child. To be honest, he actually gets that urge every time he fucks you (again, it’s Madara, what did you expect ?). But he won’t do it unless he has a way to get you out of your marriage and have his kid without you being shunned by the village and/or your family. Like I said, he can be a dick if he really wants to, but he doesn’t wish to ruin your life.

↳ (He would still step up and take you in if it happened on accident. He doesn’t care if his reputation is also ruined because of this. To him, you’re infinitely more important than that. But ideally you wouldn’t have to go through so much stress, so he holds back.)

↳ Despite not wanting to get caught, Madara is quite the daredevil, and he will take risks just to feel an adrenaline rush. He will fuck you on Hashirama’s desk if he knows the guy won’t be there for a couple of hours. He’ll do it in the library or the archives room if the opportunity presents itself to him. He’ll sometimes even act possessive in front of others, especially if another man gets too close to you, and he’ll always have to come up with an excuse because this behavior isn’t normal for him. (Madara is possessive, that is a fact, but he doesn’t act this way with anyone else but you. It stands out.)

↳ With all of that being said, though, there are moments where your marriage really puts Madara in a surly mood. It would break his heart to see you leave him knowing that you’re going to spend the night in another man’s bed. He’d be absolutely devastated if you and Hashirama ever had children, and I’m pretty sure he would barely even be able to look at you throughout the whole pregnancy. There are times, though few and far between, where he makes love to you until morning, because having the chance to spend an entire night with you is an option you have maybe once a year, when Hashirama is outside of the village for whatever reason.

↳ Madara would never marry. That place in his life would always be yours for the taking, even if your clan forced your allegiance to lay elsewhere. And given how important love is for the Uchiha, I highly doubt that arranged marriages would be super common among the clan in the first place (however, that may not apply to Madara, since he’s the leader and has responsibilities toward his family that are completely unique to him). He’s a relatively private man, too, so on most days, it wouldn’t bother him to have to hide your relationship from the public. The only thing that would irk him is that he wouldn’t be able to claim you as his — he hates PDA in general, but he wishes people would know you’re his so that you’re completely untouchable.

↳ Honestly though, you’re glad your marriage with Hashirama lacks passion and that the man is so busy all the time, because Madara cannot stop himself from littering your body with hickeys and lovebites and there’s absolutely no way you can come up with any alternative explanation as to what they are. Thank the Gods Madara is at least mindful enough to leave those marks in places that can easily be hidden with clothes.

↳ Bonus headcanon : I have a feeling Tobirama would notice that something’s going on between the two of you, but he wouldn’t say anything because it’s really none of his business. He also likes you a lot, and he would hate running the risk of offending you by insinuating that you’re being unfaithful if he were mistaken.
