A list of older bisexual terminology in Bisexuality: A Reader and Sourcebook, providing insight into the terminology the older bisexual community and broader LGBT community used.

Note: I feel it’s necessary to point out that “bisexual lesbian”* in this sense referred to bi women who associated and connected with the lesbian community, were in relationships with women (potentially specifically with lesbian women), active politically wrt to second wave feminism, and is seemingly synonymous with the “gay/lesbian-identified bisexual” we can find in use in earlier releases of the Bi Women Quarterly. Please regard that the bisexual community faced (and still continue to face) biphobia, and exclusion at worst, and terminology such as the above was used to show a connection to such communities, or a political alignment towards LGBT liberation movements.

Secondly, note the inclusion of “gender minorities” within the definition of bisexual. This can also be found in the definition of bisexual in Bis and Androgyny Today by Gary North within Bisexuality: A Reader and Sourcebook.

in light of a four day ceasefire in Gaza being agreed upon, i am once again asking you all not to lose sight of the big picture. Biden and the Israeli Government are trying to frame this as a major democratic victory and as a favor respectively. they have no intention of a total ceasefire. they have no intention of stopping their genocide. remember - a ceasefire is the very first step. it’s not even the bare minimum.

the absolute bare minimum in this situation is 1) a complete ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid in Gaza, 2) complete halt of all military foreign aid to the Israeli government, 3) the Israeli government being prosecuted for its war crimes in the International Criminal Court, and 4) land back and reparations for the Palestinian people. free Palestine means free Palestine, not just temporarily stop carpet bombing Palestine.

a temporary ceasefire is something, but it’s not even close to the end goal. we cannot let up pressure when things seem to be looking up. keep protesting, boycotting, spreading awareness, contacting politicians, etcetera. keep your eyes on Gaza. free Palestine.

There is a specific and terrifying difference between “never were” monsters and “are not anymore” monsters

“The thing that was not a deer” implies a creature which mimics a deer but imperfectly and the details which are wrong are what makes it terrifying

“The thing that was not a deer anymore” on the other hand implies a thing that USED to be a deer before it was somehow mutated, possessed, parasitically controlled or reanimated improperly and what makes THAT terrifying is the details that are still right and recognizable poking out of all the wrong and horrible malformations.
