ARCANE SEASON 2 ACT 3 SPOILERS

I will say I disliked jinxs ambiguous ending at first purely bc I wanted to know if she's alive or not however I realised it's similar to Lucy Gray Bairds end.

I haven't watched a ballad of songbirds and snakes however I do know that it's never revealed if Lucy Gray actually died or not. And it is that way for a reason, to show that whether dead or alive she is free from snow, the games and panems archaic system. It is to show that ultimately freedom in life or death is the greatest revenge or gift you can give.

Jinx had that whole conversation with Silco about breaking the cycle of death and how it can only be broken if you walk away. She obviously kept that in mind and the writers wanted us to keep that in mind.

Jinxs ambiguous ending is to show us that the sisters can only be truly at peace if they are not in each other's lives. We saw that in the alternate reality ekko was in. They cannot live and grow and heal if they are in each other's lives. Some relationships cannot be repaired and sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone is leaving them no matter the pain.

Lucy's ambiguous end is to show us that your freedom and silence can be the biggest revenge towards someone who hurt you.

Jinxs ambiguous end shows us that sometimes the greatest gift you can give to someone you love is your absence as your relationship hurts the both of you

AHHHH THE WRITERS CANNOT LET US BE HAPPY

I'm so glad the Diddy trial isn't being publicised because the way some people are sensationalising it and making it seem like celebrity gossip is wild. That man is sick and treating it like gossip only helps the cycle by not taking people's trauma seriously. Also, I'm sick of people victim blaming his victims and defending him. I'll forever be upset that the writers took away the cool older sister and dorky younger brother duo that was izzie and George I'm forever grateful we got Alex and Meredith bc they were the brother sister duo we needed

Jinx would be the character that breaks the 4th wall (like arcanes Deadpool) But Jinx specifically not Powder. In Powders universe it would be Claggor. That mfs knows more then he lets on I SWEAR.

This is a very slippery slope but I keep seeing very conflicting views on Cait and I have an opinion.

I'm gna put facts first and then my opinion else I may go off topic.

Season 1 - Cait is very idealistic. She wants to help the undercity and despite her upbringing she's not as prejuidiced against Zaunites as other members of Piltover.

Season 1 ends with Jinx killing Caits motherand season 2 begins with the aftermath.

Episode 1-3 We still see Cait, seeing people from the undercity as people, placing the blame of the bomb on 1 person- Jinx.

Then the memorial happens and it's interfered with. Cait is appointed as head of a unit to do that whole martial law thing.

Not to mention the breakup with Vi and Jayce and Mel going missing. (Her other support systems)

Later on we find out Ambessa has been manipulating everything from behind the scenes in order to gain what she wants - power.

NOW YOU TELL ME If you are someone who is grieving and this motherly figure comes, basically handing everything you want on a silver platter, telling you that you are right to feel this way and right to want revenge. And you don't have much of a support system anymore. Would you not be more susceptible to manipulation? Did this also not happen to Jinx? Did Silco also similarly tell Jinx this stuff? But yall wna see him as a great father when he actively affirmed her abandonment issues and other issues. (I have thoughts on Silco as a parent and luckily I'm not blinded by being attracted to him)

Im not in any way justifying what Cait did with the grey, that was completely uncalled for and of her own volition. HOWEVER similar to jinx after losing silco, that girl was not in a healthy state of mind. Jayce literally used the hexcore to bring back Viktor in his grief. Even after promising not to use the Hexcore. People don't think properly when emotionally distraught this is a fact of life you can disagree with me but I've seen it.

What I'm trying to say is grief and emotional distress makes desperate people do things they wouldn't normally do. I don't agree with Caits actions. But I entirely understand how she got there and while her redemption could have been better unfortunately we aren't lucky like we were with ATLA. I do think Caits villain arc should have been a season and then her redemption take place over another season which would be the final season. Cait also does atone for her actions, she betrays Ambessa and she sets Jinx free. Call her a bad person but then you have to call Jinx and Silco and all the other characters bad people. They're all flawed and they all do things that aren't necessarily good. Vi puts on an enforcer uniform. Maddie Exists. Jinx killed firelights and Caits mother. Viktor became the #1 eugenics fan. They're all flawed hello.

ARCANE ACT 3 SPOILER WARNING

I haven't seen any talk about Mel so let's give my girl justice because I have loved her since I first saw her character 3 years ago.

I was always curious to see what they would do with Mel's character and I love that they did her justice. She spent most of season 1 struggling with her identity as a Medarda and feeling like an imposter

Ambessa always wanted Mel to be a strong Medarda (aka herself). Meanwhile she is the literal strongest one out of all them. She not only has the cunning needed to gain power but she has the strength too. I haven't seen her fight so I'm assuming she was mainly politically trained however in a tough situation we see her do what needs to be done and adapt. I think it's interesting how similar Mel is to Ambessa however Mel was not as a ruthless in her quest for power as her. I don't mean ruthless in the typical sense we saw what she did to Maddie without a second thought (I cheered when she did that) Ambessa was willing to do ANYTHING to protect Mel. She sent Mel away, she tried changing a city in order to fight the black rose. She even sacrificed her son to protect Mel (still a bit confused on what happened there) Basically Ambessa is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, sparing no one. Mel however is not, her empathy is her greatest strength and that's what makes her a true warrior. It's one thing to win battles. It's another to know when to fight and when to stop.
