The party was in full swing, had been for a few hours. I had had 3 solo cups of beer and 2 mixed drinks so I was slightly buzzed. Deciding there was too many people in the house i walked out to the back. A few people were out here but all by the pool so I made my way to the swing chair.

It grew silent for a moment so I decided to speak, "thanks for letting me stay here." His shoulders shrug and a goofy smile is placed on his face, "it's awesome having you around. The group loves you, Natalie's not moody, and your really cool," my cheeks heat up and I smile, "plus the fans love you." I laugh and shake my head, "of course they do, who doesn't?" A slow song comes on through the speakers and David sets his cup down, "wanna dance?" I shrug, "why not?" I close my eyes and lay my head on his chest as the songs plays through. That's the moment I realized I liked David Dobrik.

       I walk away and find Chloe talking to some chick. I give her a smile, “I'll be home before dawn. Don't question it.” She nods and smiles, “cheers.” I laugh, “cheers.” I walk into the bathroom and checked my hair, touched up my make up and carefully used the bathroom. I had finished by the time David texted, I finished washing my hands. Meet me at the door. I'm getting my car pulled around.  I chuckled and grabbed my handbag and threw the chain on my shoulder as I made my way to the front. I spotted David getting the keys from the guy and his new tesla sitting there. He looked at the door and smiled spotting me, “come on gorgeous. We got a long drive.” I smile and get in the passenger side, door already open. I giggle when it closes and David gets in.         We smoked a joint before going to a gas station. We got gas, chips, candy and a drink.      We ate our snacks and eventually got to In-N-Out making me laugh, “our first date?” He nods and laughs, “come on. Get whatever you want.” I end up ordering a burger and fries for here and a burger and onion rings and a shake to go. David already knew how I ordered, I got the munchies so I order for later too. I laugh and throw a fry at him, “I did not cause that! That girl pulled my hair talkin bout she ‘wanted to see if it's my real hair'. I had to hit her for being rude. Her mama should have taught her some respect.” David laughs and eats the fry before handing me the cherry from his. We had one for here and one to go for when we leave. I smile and suck in it before biting it making David groan, “you're so sexy.” I smile, “thank you.”

    We left In-N-Out and ended up on a hill watching the sun set over the city. He pulled out a spare blanket and we smoked the blunt and talked. After getting over the initial shock and heartbreak of this tweet and this reply, it hit me that (and I don't know if this is a cultural thing here in the middle east or an Islamic one)

A child has to be named even if they're stillborn.

For a child to not be named, that means there's no one left to name them. They were killed along with their entire family.

I hoped I was wrong, but I checked the list of victims of Israeli attacks and found this:

Israel has ended 47 Palestinian bloodlines over the course of this genocide (or perhaps more), so you might think that this little detail isn't that important, but I don't think we should get used to cruelty of this proportion, no matter how consistently Israel commits it.

The number of victims isn't just a number. These are people with full lives and hopes and dreams.

It's enough of a disaster that these families were wiped out, but in murdering them, Israel didn't just deprive them of their lives, hopes, and dreams. It deprived them of even the dignity to name their children.

It continues to deprive the remaining Palestinians of their most basic human rights.

What did the Palestinians do to not deserve food or water or electricity?

What did their *newborns* do to not deserve lives or at the very least names?!

This is the most harrowing form of terrorism I can think of. The genocidal Israeli occupation is the most despicable terrorist organization the world has had the displeasure of knowing.

The whole world should be deeply ashamed that it's not only allowing such heinous war crimes to be committed, but in a lot of ways, it's enabling them.

I don't know how anyone can be neutral about this.

Stand with Palestine, stand against the occupation. Against genocide.

College Graduate pt.1

In which David Dobrek falls for Natalie's best friend.

I sighed as I reread my class notes that we're scribbled on the notebook paper. My professor decided to bump up the exam and I hadn't studied yet because I took a few extra shifts at the diner.
