i know how upsetting life can be sometimes. you want to get better but something happens and life just keeps pushing you down, and you fall further and further into a rut. and because of that, you start to feel even worse. "why am i not doing as good as the others?" , "why am i so xyz?" , "why am i not like her?" etc etc. cmon my love. this isn't the time to compare yourself to others and feel even worse but to slowly dig up the soil, and find out what is actually going on. โก just take a day off, babe seriously. sometimes you just need to let yourself be upset and be unproductive yk? there is nooo shame in being unproductive as hell for a day or two. take your time and have a good break. now talking about breaks, we have a problem. are you really resting or rotting? RESTING makes you feel good, happy and energised ROTTING makes you feel guilty, unproductive, sluggish a lot of the times, instead of resting and recharging our minds, we are feeding our minds with lots and lots of brainrot, indulging in bad habits in the name of "resting", avoiding important work etc which in return make us feel even worse! well, resting isn't supposed to do that, right? resting is supposed to recharge you, get you ready to fight again. so next time you choose to 'rest', be mindful. do not indulge in things that you know will make you feel worse. doomscrolling is not resting. stalking your friends is not self care. intentionally avoiding important work is not self care. binge watching series by wrecking your sleep schedule and then feel guilty abt being on your phone all day is not self care. self care and resting is doing things you love which will nourish your mind and distract you for a little while, so that you can take a step back and just be aive for a bit.
an example of a day off could be smth like this ( just an example, please remember that everyone's life is different and so is yours. adjust accordingly ) : สษ do not set any alarm, let yourself wake up naturally and when you do, pick up that book you have been meaning to read for a long time. สษ have breakfast สษ do 1 thing you really love and which makes you super happy (dancing, singing, acting etc) สษ talk to someone or write abt how you are feeling สษ try to create smth. a quick diy project, a lil sketch, crochet, a new dance move, a song cover, a poem, a video, photography etc สษ do 1 imp work which you have been putting off (homework, stdy for a test etc) สษ delete instagram for a bit and surround yourself with positivity. use tumblr, youtube, pinterest instead. สษ go outside, even for just 5 minutes. สษ maybe call up your friend/s and play smth สษ take cute pics of urself สษ maybe post smth cute on tumblr wink wink สษ have a cute night ritual and then go to bed. โโน monitor what you have been consuming lately what you feed your mind and body actually matters (lol what a shocker). so tell me, have you been eating well? sleeping well? surrounding yourself with positivity? or have you been consuming content which further degrades your mental and physical health? try to replace unhealthy junk with healthy stuff. fix your fyp, choose "not interested" for posts which no longer resonate with you. declutter and reorganise. i really, really suggest trying a quick digital detox for a day. โธ(๏ฝกห แต ห )โธโก talk to someone who you feel safe with. you can even text me, ill try my best to respond <3 please talk to someone when you feel upset, communicate bbgs, communicate! even if it is hard and uncomfortable. if you feel like you have no one to talk to, talk to a stuffed animal or a tree or yourself. let those thoughts and feelings out, don't hold them inside your body. release them. observe them. try to understand them. but never let negative emotions become a part of you. they come and go, like any other emotion. you will be just fine. even when it feels like it is the end of the world love you always,

Schools almost over for a lot of us and that means itโs time to start planning girly summer sleepovers!! In this guide Iโll be going over movies to watch, games/activities, and sweet treats. Oh, and I must say Iโm quite the expert at planning slumber parties. After all, Iโve been having sleepovers with my best friend since I was seven years old. I still remember making imovies and singing Mariah Carey with her. So take it from me, as someone whoโs been having sleepovers since she was very little.
1. The Basics!! Before we start brainstorming all the fun stuff we have to think about the basics. The date, time, who you want to invite, and even invitations if you like. Start by making a group chat with everyone you want to invite to your sleepover. Then, figure out if anyone has any plans the day you want to have your soirรฉe. If youโre having more than one person come over, itโs probably best to ask. Once thatโs all situated (the date, time, + who is coming) you can start making invitations if you like. You could mail your invitations or just text them their invitation. Whatever works best for you!!
2. What Movies To Watch!! Now when Iโm making a theme, I personally like to base it off whatever movies weโre watching. So what movies you watch play a major role in planning your sleepover. Try choosing movies that match the same vibe as each other. Some examples could be, Sleepover (2004), 13 going on 30 (2004), Crossroads (2002), The Hot Chick (2002), Mean Girls (2004), Sharpayโs Fabulous Adventure(2011), The Princess Diaries (2001), 27 Dresses (2008), Monte Carlo (2011), Breakfast at Tiffanyโs (1961), 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), The Parent Trap (1998), Clueless (1995), Wild Child (2008), The Bling Ring (2013), Sheโs The Man (2006), White Chicks (2004), Legally Blonde (2001), etc. I seriously could write a whole blog with movies to watch at a girly sleepover. Actually maybe I should ๐คญ
3. Activities!! I know the feeling of you and your bestie(s) having no clue right to do. Which leads you to resorting to your phone. Then time passes by, and you still have no idea what to do. Well no worries, I have a list of things you can do!! Starting off the list with baking, karaoke, blind karaoke, dress up (boas, fairy wings, sunglasses, etc) do at home glam bots, watch some movies ofc, play scary online games, roleplay as celebrities (ex: the Kardashians), truth or dare (this one could be a bit boring for some), play guess who, give each other facials (steam your faces, put face masks on, then use your hands or a gua sha), have a pillow fight, have a photoshoot, have a โtalent showโ with singing, dancing, or even comedy, spill who your โhear me outsโ are, play board games, do each others hair or makeup, have a baking/cooking contest, and more!!
4. Sweet Treats To Make!! If youโre like me and my friends sweet treats at sleepovers are a must. That being said I ofc have a list of sweet treats to make!! Such as a sโmoreโs dip, ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream sundaes, root beer floats, rice krispie treats, puppy chow, candy salad, smash cake, make your own Crumbl cookies, cake pops, dirt pudding, cookie fries, marshmallow popcorn, pizookies, brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake strawberries, churros, and chocolate fudge!!
Now you should be ready to have the sleepover of the summer!!
