As we approach Dracula Daily season again, just a gentle reminder that, even though it has been going for several years, there are still people who are doing this for the first time, have never read Dracula before, and would like to have as spoiler free an experience as possible, so please tag spoilers!
I know it's a little ridiculous to tag spoilers for a 128 year book, but the chronological reading is so important to Dracula Daily and it's good for people to be able to choose their own experience. It can be a bit alienating if they can't explore the tag and interact with other people excited about the same thing for fear of spoilers. If you're not following along closely and just enjoy keeping up with the memes (which is how I usually do), just try your best to see if what you're posting/reblogging is something that's already happened this year or not.
Women can write m/m. Men can write f/f. Asexuals can write filthy smut. Lesbians and gay men can write m/f. It's all arbitrary anyway. Who give a shit.
Honestly I think Johnathan would benefit from some deep breathing exercises. Maybe even some stretching or yoga. Throw some meditation in there and he will be fine
Omfg it's almost dracula season, can't wait for my good friend Jonathan's emails to arrive
Is his name Jack or John.
I bet you didn’t expect my weird “experimenting” to be this shitty Frankenstein doodle huh
My good friend Jonathan is going on a very important business trip next week. Everyone wish him luck.
Do you wanna see possibly the worst retelling ever?
You look at the goodreads summary and you think, "Well, that's sort of interesting."
But then you see the inside dust jacket.
And it only gets worse.
Is... is this author aware that Dracula DOES have Mina's POV? Like we know what Mina feels about it. We know Mina's perspective. She likes her husband, typewriters, and trains.
Feminist Dracula, y'all.
