Teacher: I’ll do my best to work with students who have any sort of health issues.
Me: *misses one day due to my health issues*
Teacher: Well you were absent so it’s your responsibility to figure everything out.
I keep seeing all this stuff on detoxing. So I thought I should let you guys know that’s not a thing. Detoxing isn’t scientifically supported in anyway. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. From a medical standpoint, detoxing doesn’t make sense and could potentially even be harmful. Our bodies will naturally filter out any sort of toxic or harmful thing that may enter our body, and our bodies certainly don’t produce their own toxins. Eating or drinking something that’s supposed to “detox” isn’t gonna help you be more healthy. The best ways to get and stay healthy are to eat a balanced diet and stay active.
Things only siblings can relate to:
Finding empty cereal boxes in the cabinet because your sibling was too lazy to throw it away
Taking the tv remote with you so they can’t change the channel
Making sure they’re out of the room before you get out of the good chair, so they can’t steal it
“Oh, come on, I didn’t hit you that hard!”
When you can’t think of a comeback so you just make a face at them
That feeling of victory when you started the fight, but your sibling gets blamed for it
When your sibling ate the last Gogurt
“Get out of my room!”
Giving your sibling the small portion when you have to share something
When your younger siblings get to do everything earlier than you did
Watching your sibling look for the remote when it’s under you
Racing to see who can get to the shower first
“Ooooh, you have a boooyyyfriend!!!!”
My bus comes at 6:28 every morning but school doesn’t technically start til 7:40. It doesn’t really matter though when you’ve gotta be out of the house by 6:20 at the latest. Middle school was worse though. It started around 7:20.
Letting teens sleep in could save the US over $9 billion dollars a year.
Studies show teenage brains are wired to stay up and wake up late, they need 8 to 10 hours of sleep per night, and that school therefore starts too early.
It is estimated that high school classes starting after 8:30 am or later would improve student health, boost graduation rates, raise lifetime earning potential, and lower the risk of fatigue-related car crashes, all of which could potentially contribute at least $83 billion to the US economy within a decade.

Does less toxic imply lack of people blowing up my shit? Because I would be highly appreciative of that.
