Let's talk about Chinese erasure.

LMK is a retelling/revisioning of a NUMBER of Chinese Mythologies. Most focused of being Journey to The West a story mostly focused around Sun Wukong.

Now. I have seen, so much fanart, fanworks, headcanons, character redesignes that change the characters from yellow legos (the legos actual colors NOT the fact they are Asian we're not doing that) to more realistic/human looking characters. And a lot of the time these include making these characters Black/Blasian.

Now first of all: I'm not talking about..i think its October? The October challenge to redraw characters as Black/African. I'm talking about art and work just year round.

Hey, first of all, I love that people are drawing more POC characters. But can you make these characters THE RIGHT FUCKING RACE?

The characters in LMK (Redson especially i see so much shit of him being black) are CHINESE they are CHINESE MYTHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS/RETELLING OF SAID CHARACTERS. They are NOT black.

I love seeing the representation and people learning to draw POC characters but please please do it with characters who arent as culturally significant as those from LMK. There's most of the Steven Universe Characters, there's any white characters from media NOT based in mythology you can draw as black but please please please do not forget

LMK is in China.the characters are Chinese. Draw them as such. Learn to draw Chinese characters and hairstyles.

Nothing is more devastating than this. The UN World Food Program has officially suspended aid delivery to northern Gaza, citing violence and lack of safety as major reasons the aid trucks aren’t getting through. Israeli officers are liberally shooting at Palestinians who try to approach the trucks in hopes of getting even the smallest morsels of food, despite the fact that Israel has allowed only one crossing for the already woefully low numbers of aid they’re permitting entry. Reportedly this number has fallen from 140 a day in January to just 60 a day this month, and now 16% of all Gazan children under 2 are “acutely malnourished.” Meanwhile, the US vetoes a call for a ceasefire for the third fucking time. It’s so inhumane in its cruelty it’s actually shocking to see it being allowed to go on and on, and on an international level no less.

My eyes flick from the wailing red face of the infant to the tired face of my worst enemy. I'd never seen him look so tired or defeated before and we had fought for a full 24 hours once!

"I know we've have our issues but-" I cut off the heroes rambling, holding my hand up.

"Stop."

His face looked perplexed, arms still rocking the wailing baby who was not getting anymore relaxed.

"Seriously? I spend so much time and money to track you down and have a dramatic final battle and instead of that I'm faced with." I wrinkle my nose at the sight of the dirty and once pristine and no doubt million dollar kitchen reduced to the war zone between a fussy baby and a helpless newly-single father. "This." my voice filled with distdane.

"Well I'm sorry my relationship falling apart didn't adhere to your evil plans, villain." The hero responds. Normally a response like this would be backed by a cocky voice and confident smirk and the heroes sidekick making some noise of surprise to hype up their boss. But without either of those it was just pathetic.

I roll my eyes, "Your not doing it right."

"Excuse me?"

"Your baby, your rocking them wrong. No wonder they're so fussy if their father is so useless at such a basic task." I click my tongue and walk forward, plucking the wailing baby out of the heroes arms.

"Put her dow-" The hero's complaint reduces to a look of confusion and awe as I gently adjust the baby in my hold and start to rock the-apprently-female baby.

"Do you think so little of me to assume I'd harm an infant?" I scoff. "I may be actively planning to attack the mayor-"

"-Your what?-"

"-But I am not a heartless maniac." I finish, the baby was still wailing, almost louder. I frown, "Did you feed her?"

"I tried but clearly it didn't work." Maybe it was the sleep deprivation but I was truly surprised I hadn't been thrown through 3 walls and laid flat on my back on the neighboring lawn. I look at the disaster of a kitchen and snort in amusement at the mess.

I raise the infant to my shoulder, supporting her bottom and starting to pat her back rhythmically. The hero seems questionable at my actions.

"She hasn't eaten, she's not going to-" right on that moment a small but strong burp comes from over my shoulder. The wailing puttering off into soft giggles.

"You were saying?" I hand the infant back to her father. He takes the baby and holds her close, stepping back a few steps with a calculated glare.

I roll my eyes and turn, leaving the kitchen and walking down the hall to exit the heroes home.

"Where are you going?" The hero walks into the entrance of the hallway, thoroughly confused.

"I'm not wasting my time to fight you, not in this state." I turn back to face him, "It'd be boring."

"Boring?" The hero repeats.

"Yes, boring. Good luck with your daughter, I hope she is nothing like you." I turn away and open the door, shutting it behind me and walking out of the multimillion dollar house no doubt leaving the hero greatly confused.

After months, the villain finds the hero, but upon arriving at his home, he discovers the hero in a stained robe, baby food splattered, huge dark circles under his eyes, and a non-stop crying baby. The only thing the hero says is, “My wife left me.”

So apparently KOSA (2024 edition) is getting either thrown out until next year or put into effect in six days.

Update that's going in the main post at the top: it has enough support to pass.

It failed the last two times because people were voting against it.

This time, KOSA has traction among the pro-LGBTQ parties. Because nobody is fucking calling their bullshit and screaming from the rooftops that calling it the "Kids Online Safety Act" is misleading.

What will it passing do?

Nothing much, only prevent any education on LGBTQIA+ (it's that stupid fucking argument about us grooming kids again), shut down nearly every fandom space on the internet, and make it required for most big tech companies to have your ID.

Want to have resources for kids to discover their identity readily available? Yes? Then fucking speak up against this stupid fucking bill.

Fandom spaces like Tumblr, Twitter (? I thought the MAGA assholes liked Musk?), Tiktok, Archive Of Our Own, and any other website that hosts fanfic or fanart? Either shut down permanently, forced to uproot to a different country and down for a while (best case scenario, and they likely won't be able to send any data, and therefore fanfics, to the US), or gutted so that you only get to put G rated cishet ships on there, if any shipping at all. How to avoid that? I've already said it: Call your fucking representatives.

Want to avoid the fucking dystopic task of being legally obligated to give big tech your government issue ID? Again, cause an uproar. Call your goddamned representatives.

If they can pass this, the ripple effects could be catastrophic.

So, for fuck's sake, any Americans that can impact this stupid fucking bill and see this? Do everything in your power to shut it down because you have until February twenty sixth (26th) to send this bill back to where it belongs.

Sorry not sorry for ranting, making you scroll through that, and swearing a probably excessive amount, but KOSA is a bill with a GLOBAL IMPACT being passed by ONE COUNTRY because some old people are scared of two guys with who were told they were girls kissing within five hundred miles of a child. Fuck this shit, I shouldn't have to worry about bad bills in America but I fucking do because I use the internet and would like to avoid mass censorship. Fuck this, fuck conservatives, and fuck the fact that some boomers make your country's policies.

Now, if you won't mind me, I'm going to be up until three in the morning downloading fanfiction or copying and pasting them into a a text file if I can't so I can read them by the end of the week.
