For Gaza
every single time we come across what we think is the most horrific scene we have ever seen out of Gaza, we literally see something even worse right after.
i'm seeing a kid, 11 maybe 12, slowly dying on the hospital floor because according to doctors there are just no resources to save him. minutes later they announce him dead. his shirt moves up as he's carried away, we see that he has written his name on his body with a green sharpie.
he's loaded into a stretcher that has another person on it. the reporter says that the other person is also slowly dying.
there is a mother standing over the two of them, her face has lost all colour, she's crying and turning around herself as if she's looking for someone to tell this to.
now multiply this scene by over 10,000.

A little girl died from hunger in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, despite being in the area where aid trucks are distributed. Another family in the north in Gaza city was forced to eat a donkey, which for many in Palestine is inconceivable culturally. Bisan says there isn't even water (clean OR dirty) for them to drink or wash with.
Gaza has a large disabled population. Wissam is just one of tens of thousands, who need medication and care, facing the devastating choice of being slaughtered at home or out on the streets. All districts in Gaza but one have been declared combat zones.
There is a heart wrenching video of a father who went to buy biscuits for his son only to return and find out his son and the man's wife had both been killed by an Israeli air strike. He is seen putting the pack of biscuits in his son's hand and saying "take it with you to heaven".
There is an indescribable pain to all of this, and I don't know what Israel thinks it's doing by ripping everyone's heart out like this if not to make the whole world resent the mere mention of it.
I don't think the question we should be asking at this point is "how do you justify this?" anymore, even if rhetorically. We need to understand that it is simply irrational to expect an occupying power that built itself on ethnic cleansing to provide any means of reasoning.
This is genocide, you don't debate genocide and you don't rationalise genocide.
I don't care what you do, but speaking about Palestine doesn't suffice anymore. Speak louder, force people to have uncomfortable conversations, call whoever the heck your representative is, go out to rallies if you can, push others to do the same - this is unlike anything we have seen.
