My thoughts on Kiruko as a trans man.

Now keep in mind all this is my opinion, but if I offend anyone I don’t care frankly so don’t try to start shit with me.

Kiruko is a character that spoke to me on the deepest level imaginable, he’s always been him. When he said “my body is a woman’s, but in here, my mind is a man’s. So… I’m a man” I lit up, I was so happy, I had never seen a character say something that is the very essence of how I feel as a trans man. But then I read further because I couldn’t just leave the cliff hanger of that episode… and then I saw the comments of so many transphobes being so glad that Kiruko “isn’t trans”… but the thing is he is on the deepest fundamental level he just is, it doesn’t matter how or why.

I don’t exactly know how else to say this, but I have a major problem with people who want Kiruko to be a girl… he’s not.

When Robin did what he did Kiruko was traumatised. He had not only lost his sister, but was just hurt by someone who he thought cared about both him and his sister… he trusted Robin, and what happened fucking broke him

I don’t think he truly wanted to become his sister in that moment, he wanted to escape and feel safe she was his only family and he wanted to feel like she was still with him in some way or another, he’s not a trans woman and I personally find people who think Kiruko is a trans woman fucked up, because you’re ignoring all of his trauma. I’m saying this as someone with a lot of trauma and CPTSD.

Being trans does not mean to become someone else, that want is a trauma response from what happened with Robin. and trauma doesn't make you trans. Kiruko’s mind is a man and his body isn’t, the feeling that your body isn’t your own is presented far more literally with Kiruko, but I’m sure any trans person can relate to the feeling that your body isn’t your own.

found out today that Shirahama Kamome, one of my all time favourite Manga authors, is pro Palestine... *sigh* she is doing all the "ceasefire now!" "stop the genocide in Rafah!" "the Japanese government needs to call for a ceasefire!" like... dude Kamome, love your work my guy, but c'mon how many times do queers and allies who support Palestine need to be told something so damn basic?? there is no genocide happening there, Hamas want there to be and don't want a damn ceasefire unless it is completely unfair and only because they have shit they wanna hide. the majority of Palestinians hate queers, I get wanting to support the small percentage of people who don't and who are genuinely innocent, I do too, but you should be asking Hamas for a ceasefire and to surrender, if more people did that instead of just boycotting Starbucks then maybe~ something good would actually happen... ahhhhhhhhh

I keep making weird shit

to all those who say "Were the children who died in Gaza terrorists??!" were the victims during October 7th terrorist? Obviously not... however you have to realise that these deaths occurred for VERY different reasons, this is WAR and war is sad and difficult, but Hamas started this war, they always do, they killed for no reason other than the hatred towards innocent people, Israel however keep trying their hardest to AVOID civilian casualties whereas Hamas purposefully put the very people they are supposed to lead and protect in harms way, if they weren't as awful as they really are maybe instead of attacking a festival and kibbutz they would have only attacked an IDF base and ONLY that... but guess what? they didn't... they went after people with no way to defend themselves! and also people who weren't even Israeli... Dogs, Men, Women, Children, Elderly... no weapons... just people who wanted to dance and have fun and eat and be with family, they wanted peace and all they got was pain and fear before being mercilessly raped and murdered and tortured and burned... please people stop supporting Hamas and denying what monsters they truly are. from the bottom of my heart I feel awful for those who are going through this war, but I do not feel sorry for Hamas nor their supporters and never fucking will. change your minds before its too late. Hamas inflate and fake their casualties... we all know this stop listening to them!
