i think another big thing that makes Trollhunters’ ending have such an impact…. is that they weren’t afraid to show the naked hate in Jim. he hates Gunmar. Gunmar is essentially the biggest reason his life is like it is. Jim is barely over sixteen and he’s been at war for months now, against this troll and his army, who’s efforts to conquer the earth have driven fate to choose Jim of all people to stop the apocalypse. some normal kid that never asked for any of this, but took the mantle when called upon anyways.

and he’s paid dearly for it every step of the way.

Jim’s life has been completely ruined by Morgana through Gunmar, and by this point he’s embracing the anger and hatred that inspires in him. his act of killing Gunmar isn’t just the hero’s duty, but a vindictive revenge for every ounce of pain and trauma that troll inflicted on him, and for every other life Gunmar ruined alongside Jim’s.

i honestly have a difficult time recalling any shows geared towards younger/general audiences that have given us visible and canon evidence of feelings like that. what a phenomenal performance on the animators and writers’ part.

Peridot Appreciation Day

It have been One full year since the introduction of Peridot and man have she changed.  At the beginning we all thought Peridot was going to be this cold calculating character that would be a ruthless antagonist.

Boy were we wrong!!!!!

Once she ended up getting stranded on earth we start to see Peridot character fleshed out.

She was like a kooky villain always trying to stay one step ahead of the gems while also trying to find a way to contact Yellow Diamond so she can get off Earth.  The longer she was stuck on the planet the crazier (and funnier) she got.

Until she finally had a mental breakdown when Steven couldn’t fix the warp pad like she hoped for.

After hearing Peridot start to say something important he takes it upon himself to see what Peridot was going to say.  It was then we were treated with a pleasant surprise.

PERIDOT IS ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We already loved Peridot before, but now we loved her even more.  Slowly Peridot start to bond with each member of the crystal gem, first Steven with him showing her rain and was willing to give Peridot a chance even though the other’s weren’t

Peridot learning to respect and view Pearl as a equal rather than someone who’s beneath her.

Bonding with Amethyst, and learning how to laugh 

And even understanding why Garnet stay as a fusion all the time

Even though she may have insulted Rose Quartz (and it looked like the Gems were about to murder her.) And she was contacting Yellow Diamond to leave Earth she started having second thoughts.

She didn’t even tell Yellow Diamond about the Crystal Gems and tried to tell her that they didn’t need to destroy the earth.  When that didn’t work, and Yellow Diamond told her to shut up and follow orders but Peridot wouldn’t listen and ultimately redeemed herself by calling, Yellow Diamond, the ruler of Homeworld, A CLOD!!!! 

So now Peridot is a offical CRYSTAL GEM!!!!!!!!!

Peridot have come so far, once a villain who only follow orders from her superiors, to now helping protect the very place she didn’t care about at first.  Peridot, we all loved when you were a villain, but now we love you even more as a Crystal Gem!

If you’re looking for a certain kind of fanfiction, go to the  ao3 homepage, click on Search, then Works. Scroll down to Relationship Tags and enter “Bill Cipher/Dipper Pines. Underneath where it says “Additional Tags”, enter what ever you are looking for in a fic (ex. fluff, dark, siren au, trans dipper, bottom bill, ect.). This is mainly what I use to find fics!

If you want to re-watch any episode of Gravity Falls use www.toonova.com, www.watchcartoonslive.org, animeflavor.me! I’ve used all of them, and they work on mobile and are completely free! (Beware of ads!)

If you want fanart you can obviously just search “billdip” on DeviantArt, Google images, or Tumblr. If you search Tumblr make sure to filter the results to “Photos”, block the tag “anti billdip”, and block any other antis you may see after doing so. Remember, block block block! Antis are the scum of the Earth!

Tumblr Post+ and how to prevent it

Plenty of people here, myself included, don't want Post+. It's a paid subscription and will cause a lot (more) problems on this site.

What does it do?

- Allows blogs to create paid subscriptions that followers have to pay to see blog content. This can cause a lot of problems, as plenty of people come to Tumblr since it has never been a monetizable website.

- You can't block people who "support" your blog, meaning people can bypass the blocking system to harass blogs, just at a price.

- Creators have other outlets for these services, like Patreon.

- Again, nobody wants to pay for Tumblr posts.

Now, how can you help stop this?

By filling out Tumblr's Post+ survey! This allows you to give feedback about the Post+ system and what you would/wouldn't do. You can use this to directly inform Tumblr that you DO NOT want the "Post+" feature. If anyone has anything to add to this (info, updates, etc) I encourage you to! Keep resources current!

the suffering never ends

I haven’t found the ED to this anime anywhere so I figured I would post it myself.

Yo, can we talk about this anime ‘Hoshiai no Sora’ AKA ‘Stars Align’ that’s airing this season? Trans rights!

Seriously, this show has been amazing so far with it’s varied, interesting characters, realistic portrayals of abuse and trauma, while maintaining a very fun and lighthearted tone. But this whole sequence in episode 8 just completely blew my mind.

I’ve never seen anime talk about LGBTQIA+ issues this openly and respectfully. I’m used to queer people just being a big punchline. I was not expecting it to be addressed this directly, and for all the main characters to be so completely supportive and wonderful about it. Especially not in what was advertised to me as a lighthearted tennis anime.
