you and gojo satoru are the perfect couple. even if nobody else could match your energy, he most definitely always would. you don't remember a single moment when you're not in sync with him.
you're laughing at something stupid? he's right next to you, doubled over with tears in his eyes. you're telling him about your day? better believe he'd be nodding along and interrupting you to ask questions just to know every little detail.
you're listening to old disney songs while baking? he's right behind you, arms effortlessly manoeuvring you across the kitchen floor, dipping and twirling you around while singing at the top of his lungs (rather horrendously) along with you.
you want ice cream at midnight? he's on it! (with some for him too, obviously) feeling clingy? he'll shower you in all the affection you've asked for and more, absolutely refusing to let you go. you just told him a really cheesy pick up line? better believe he's gonna blush, giggle and kick his feet before replying with an even worse one.
and oh boy, get ready to be tossed around like a sack of potatoes when he's around. he picks you up randomly all the time, nuzzling his nose into the crook of your neck just to hear those sweet laughs from you.
he's never believed in soulmates until he found you, to be honest.
you made him feel heard and known. you saw him for who he really was, and you reciprocated his love in a way he never would've imagined anyone could. you loved him for more than his exterior (and you most definitely match his freak).
he'd also never experienced love at first sight until he saw you.
he was absolutely floored by how gorgeous you were, your smile so radiant it made him grin right back with a dopey look in his eyes. you stole his breath away.
shit, he didn't even know your name at the time, yet he could swear he was in love with you.
satoru really loves every little thing about you. he would worship the ground you walk on if you let him. he would bring down the moon from the sky if you asked him to.
this man is whipped, and you wouldn't have it any other way.
katsuki who traps you into a tight bear hug whenever he comes back from a long mission, shoves his head into your shoulder and takes a big, looong, hard whiff.
"wah—katsuki !! don't, i—don't smell good !" you whine, like that would stop him. you were unfortunately already used to his antics. you'd come to pick him up early at the airport and hadn't bothered putting on any perfume or anything.
and of course, it doesn't stop him. he growls, arms tightening around you threatening to melt into your ribs. he even nudges his nose even harder, moving into your pulse point and his hair tickling your ear.
"shush, stop squirming—don't move. i wanna smell you."
you groan at his lack of shame. "you're way too blunt about this."
"don't know why i'd have anything to be embarrassed about. wanna smell mine. missed you." he says, mumbling the last time just a little bit quieter. but since he's like, pressed to you you had no problem hearing his words and sigh. "y'smell good.." he adds.
you run your fingers through his hair, fondly rolling your eyes at his weak reassurance. "yeah, thanks.." and he has the nerve to grunt in agreement for succeeding in helping you.
more dad!shouto content to cleanse my soul.
Truth be told, your 8-month-old son, Shuu, also loved hearing you monologue. He looked at you like you hung the moon and back, adoring you in the form of giggles and tiny screeches.
You sat on the couch with your legs thrown over the armrest, cradling a drowsy Shuu against your chest. He was in his favorite onesie—the one with tiny bears holding umbrellas—and he kept pawing at the necklace you always wore, his fingers clumsy but insistent. His head rested snugly beneath your chin, warm and soft, and every so often, he let out a quiet coo that melted your heart like butter on a stack of pancakes.
Todoroki was in the kitchen, his sleeves rolled up, flipping pancakes like he was born to be domestic. Those cooking classes you encouraged him to take were finally paying off. The sun made his two-toned hair glow, and the sight of him wearing a pastel-pink apron with little strawberries on it—your favorite apron—shouldn’t have made your heart flutter, and yet here you were, contemplating the absurd luck of it all.
“…Mhm,” you hum to yourself, your voice light with disbelief. “I really did that.”
Shuu babbled as if agreeing with you, patting you collarbone with a tiny hand.
“Yes, baby. I mean, look at him,” you continued softly, speaking in that conversational tone one uses when there’s an audience of one infant. “He’s gorgeous. Objectively. Like—did you see those cheekbones? And the whole broody, mysterious hero thing? I bagged that. Me. Charisma? Carried. Humor? Came in clutch. This face? Okay, she helped, but bub, she needed backup.”
You gently kissed the top of Shuu’s fluffy head, then glanced toward the kitchen again, eyes trailing over the quiet, graceful way Todoroki moved. He plated the pancakes with care, added a few slices of fruit on the side, and dusted it with powdered sugar like he was on a cooking show.
Yummy.
The pancakes and your husband the fruits.
You could only blink.
“Your dad used to make girls stammer just by looking at them. Real stoic, jawline-of-the-gods, tragic past and all. And then here I come, tripping over my own shoes, telling jokes about haunted vending machines and crying over animated penguins in documentaries, and somehow—somehow—he looked at me like I was the most fascinating thing in the room.”
You adjusted Shuu slightly, mindful of his tiny head as it lolled sleepily against your shoulder. You pat his back softly, knowing once he burped, he’d be off to dreamland.
“I still remember our first proper date. I had spinach in my teeth the whole time, and he didn’t say a damn thing until the end of the night, and then just—‘You have something green in your teeth, but it was cute so I didn’t mention it.’ Who does that? Who says that?”
Oh, the horror of that memory.
Shuu blinked up at you, eyes slowly drifting closed.
“Your dad. That’s who,” you said with a half-laugh, booping his nose. “And I married him anyway. Because even when he says the weirdest stuff, he means it. He really means it.”
You rested your cheek against your baby’s head again, humming softly.
“You’ve got my eyes, you know,” you whispered. “And his pouty mouth—god help you. That pouty look on your face is going to let you get away with most things. I’m so sorry in advance, and you’re welcome—in a way.”
Todoroki chose that moment to walk over with two plates, setting one down on the coffee table and handing you the other. “Sorry I took a bit longer,” he said, glancing at the baby nestled in your arms. “Did he fall asleep?”
“Almost,” you replied with a warm smile, accepting the plate. “He likes hearing me monologue about how your genetics were blessed and how I saved our child from mediocrity with my superior charisma.”
Todoroki blinked at you.
“Is that what that was about?”
“Don’t act like you didn’t know,” you teased, lifting a forkful of pancake to your mouth. “You were towally into me from day one.”
“I was,” he admitted with zero hesitation, sitting beside you and stealing a bite from your plate—which made you quietly gasp, swatting at his arm softly. “You were very loud.”
“I was confident.”
“You called my scar mysterious and then compared it to a toasted marshmallow.”
...
“In my defense, it is very marshmallowy in vibe. And you know, I ran my mouth like crazy back then.”
Todoroki hummed noncommittally, then leaned in to brush a kiss against your temple. “You were funny,” he murmured. “Still are.”
You raised your brow.
“Were? You think the material’s gone downhill?”
“No,” he said with a faint smile. “I’m just used to it now. Doesn’t catch me off guard anymore.”
You gasped, scandalized, but Shuu made a tiny distressed noise at the sudden jostle, so you immediately shifted back into Mom Mode and soothed him with gentle rocking.
Todoroki watched you with the kind of adoration that made your heart skip a beat, and then, without needing to say anything, he took over—slipping his arms around Shuu and lifting him from your chest with all the care in the world.
“Come on, little guy,” he said softly, resting Shuu against his shoulder. “You’ve been glued to Mom all morning. Let’s give her a break.”
Shuu snuggled right in, immediately settling down. He even yawned, so cute and soft with his rounded cheeks—like a dumpling. You melted.
“Okay, yeah,” you murmured. “You’re still totally out of my league.”
Todoroki looked over his shoulder. “Good thing I chased you until you let me in your league.”
You let out a helpless little laugh, covering your face with your hands. “Ugh, you’re so smooth and pretty. Shuu, I hope you inherited my charm, because if you inherited both your Daddy’s looks and his mysterious aura, the world’s not ready.”
“I think he got the best of both of us,” Todoroki said simply, brushing a hand over Shuu’s soft hair.
And you couldn’t argue with that. Not when their little boy had now fallen asleep peacefully against the chest of a man who never once asked for perfection—only presence, only warmth. Somehow, your bad puns, big heart, and late-night rambles had been enough.
More than enough.
Yeah. You really did that.

Fk,,,, i just,,, realized. Since in OP idiots like luffy usually attract people w/o them noticing, does that mean hoku will too??? D: i mean,, she kinda seems like oblivious idk unless she is also attracted to that person. Will the rest of the strawhats protect her from shitty guys?
HAHAHAHA DUMBASS HOKU
if she isn’t beating up the shitty guys herself first, her crew will be there dw
“Yeah, sorry, nice try—this one’s ours.”
Bonus:
(Somewhere in the New World)
“For a crew this small, that asshole Straw Hat sure can get himself some women.”
“I don’t get the guy—he’s a monster. Look at that face—he can’t possibly be pleasing them the way we could.”
The two men grunted in unison, flipping through the wanted posters. All the men and one pet and skeleton of the infamous Straw Hat pirates were littered on the floor. Three spread out on their table.
“I’d go for the ginger,” one man said, tapping Nani’s wanted poster. “Look at that body.”
“If she doesn’t rob you for all you’re worth,” the other man grunted. “See, the raven, now—that’s a beautiful bitch if I’ve ever seen one. Mature. Older—she knows her way around if you know what I mean. But I’d settle for the next best thing. Don’t like my women too smart.”
He tapped the next poster. Hoku’s canines peeked through, her grinning face on the paper beaming back at something else. “Got a look to her this one. Bet I could show her a thing or two and she’d be writing my name down for weeks.”
They laughed, slapping each other on the backs. The man shoved Hoku’s poster forward. “If only these damn things worked like those strips—could unfold this and see what’s beneath that cloak—“
“Follow that tattoo right?”
“I can think of a few places I’d like to see where she might be hiding one.”
“Maybe if you’re lucky you can see those legs—“
“Hello, fine gentlemen! That’s a pretty poster you’ve got there.”
The two men snorted, a shadow falling over their table. They turned over their shoulders, “What’s it to you—“
They stopped.
Slowly, carefully, blood began to drain from their faces. Their eyes inches open wider and wider, threatening to pop from their sockets as tears spilled from the corners. Their knees began to knock together, their faces ashen and—
Black curled at his ankles. Scarlet red hair tickling the sculpted curve of his sharp jaw. Broad shoulders. Sun kissed skin. Eyes, easy and languid along with the wide, bright grin curling over his lips—
One of the Four Emperors in the flesh.
Red Haired Shanks—
The two men foamed at the mouth, falling over and smashing into the ground.
Shanks grinned. He calmly reached over on the table and tugged the wanted poster off, holding it gently in his hand as he turned on his heel.
“Come on, was that really necessary?” Yasopp complained. “A little excessive on the Haki—“
“I didn’t even use a single thing,” Shanks said, giving the poster one long, absently fond look before he started to fold it back up. “I say we all go get ourselves a drink.”
Lucky chewed, “I’m telling you guys, at the rate she’s looking, our Hoku-chan must’ve had her pick of who she wanted in the sheets by now—“
Shanks’ sword hit his knee the same time Yasopp tripped him and Benn’s gun caught the back of his head.
Shanks moved to tuck the poster into the fold of his shirt when he paused. A curious look flickered over his face and he unfolded the poster, brushing his finger down the side corner of Hoku’s cheek, then to her neck, inspecting.
“I am curious though, I wonder if she’s added any new pretty little things anywhere else…”
Shanks craned his head, as though expecting the poster to continue so he could see for himself.
Benn exhaled a cloud of smoke.
“Pot calling the kettle black.”
kickin my feet and shi thinkin abt husband! katsuki not leaving without his goodbye kiss from his wife, even after an argument.
you stood by the kitchen counter with your arms crossed, still fuming from the argument that had erupted the night before.
katsuki, equally stubborn, was getting ready for work, his movements a little harsher than usual as he shoved his phone into his pocket and grabbed his keys.
neither of you had really spoken since the fight. it was stupid, really—something about schedules and plans.
"gotta go."
you heard the jingle of his keys as he walked toward the door. for a moment, you thought he was just going to leave. good. let him leave. maybe a day apart would cool both of you down.
but then, he just stopped.
you didn’t turn around, but you felt his presence by the door, unmoving. you were about to glance over your shoulder when his voice broke the silence.
“where’s my kiss?”
your heart stuttered. slowly, you turned to face him. "excuse me?"
"you heard me," katsuki grumbled, his ears tinged pink. "you always give me a kiss before i leave. so... where is it?"
your lips parted in disbelief. “we just argued for the whole night and you want a kiss?"
"yeah, and? doesn’t mean you can skip it."
the audacity. the nerve. you opened your mouth to tell him off, but the stubborn, almost childlike look on his face made your resolve crack.
he was dead serious. this man could be furious with you—could spend hours brooding in stony silence—but he still needed his goodbye kiss like it was a non-negotiable part of his day.
"katsuki, i’m still pissed at you."
"and i’m still pissed at you," he shot back, brows furrowing. "but we don’t leave without a goodbye kiss. that’s our thing and i’m not leavin’ without it."
he looked genuinely annoyed—and not just because of the argument.
ever since you’d started dating, no matter how bad the fight, you never let each other leave without a kiss. this was the kind of annoyance he reserved for things that threw him off his routine.
and apparently, your daily goodbye kiss was part of that routine.
still, you stayed put, stubborn as fuck. he shifted, gripping the keys tightly in his hand like it was the only thing stopping him from marching across the room.
you saw the conflict flash in his eyes—pride battling something softer.
"just...” he finally muttered, voice low and rough. “c’mere. please.”
that single, reluctant please just broke you.
with an exasperated sigh, you stomped over to him. he watched you carefully, guarded but hopeful. you stopped just inches away, folding your arms.
“this doesn’t mean i’m not still mad,” you mumbled.
“i know,” he said softly.
you placed your hands on his chest and stood on your tiptoes, giving him a quick, chaste kiss on the lips. or at least, you tried to. as you pulled away, his hand shot out, cupping the back of your neck.
“oi,” he said, voice losing its earlier irritation. “that ain’t a real kiss.”
you glared up at him, ready to argue, but the intensity in his eyes made your heart stutter. his thumb brushed the side of your neck as his grip softened.
"even if we fight," he muttered, voice lower now, "i still love ya. and i still want my kiss."
your chest tightened. damn him for being sweet after pissing you off.
you leaned in again, pressing your lips to his more firmly this time. he responded immediately, mouth warm against yours, his hand cupped the back of your head, deepening the kiss.
it wasn’t soft or tentative—it was desperate, almost punishing. his teeth scraped your bottom lip, and his tongue pushed into your mouth like he was trying to kiss the fight right out of you.
when you pulled away, his expression had softened, the hard lines of frustration melting into something quieter.
"i love you." he kissed your forehead, then straightened. “well?”
you raised an eyebrow. “well, what?”
his gaze darkened. “say it.”
you roll your eyes dramatically. "say what?"
his jaw clenched. "say you love me too. you don’t get to leave me hangin’ after all that kissin’ shit.”
a smirk tugged at your lips. oh, he was really fishing for it now. “i love you too, okay?”
the words barely left your mouth before his hand shot out, grabbing you by the waist and pulling you toward him.
"good," he muttered, before slamming his lips against yours in another kiss that left you breathless. it wasn’t sweet or gentle—it was hungry, desperate, like he was trying to make up for lost time.
“wait, katsuki, you’re gonna be late—” you gasped against his mouth as his hands roamed down your body.
“fuck work. i’m late anyway," you tried to speak again, but he kissed you so hard it left no room for words.
the argument? forgotten. work? completely irrelevant. all that mattered was the way he was making you feel in that moment, pulling you closer, making your head spin.
his hands tugged at your clothes with an urgency that told you he wasn’t planning on letting you go anytime soon.
“got better things to do while my girl is pissed at me.”

⋆˚࿔ kia's note ˚⋆ hi everyone!! js wanna put this out as a thank you for the 2k follows, oh my gosh i am beyond happy i made it this far. hope yall stick around for more^^
I've seen people making up different story arcs on what will happen after the Noroshi War so here's mine.
*Manga spoilers ahead*
Maybe in the future, Nii Satoru-sensei might create a story arc about a sukeban*.
*A sukeban is a delinquent girl gang that emerged in Japan from the 1960s to 1970s.
History
Credits: yaz1ska on Instagram
Sukebans were formed due to bōsōzoku a.k.a. male biker gangs or the yakuza not accepting female members. The rise of sukebans has a huge impact on the feminist movement in Japan. Each gang has their own rules, hierarchy, and ways of punishment. E.g. Cigarette burns were considered a minor punishment if a gang member was disrespecting a senior member or stealing a boyfriend.
My thoughts if it were to come true
If the author included a story arc about a girl gang, I would have faith in him. I mean look at how well-written & well-designed the ladies in wind breaker are.

*I love how the author would draw sketches of Kotoha with major characters such as Tsubakino and Sakura. This means that Kotoha is more important than we have initially thought. Moreover, kudos to Nii Satoru-sensei for not sexualising Kotoha. I am sick and tired of mangakas sexualising female characters for no reason.*

Not to mention many of us know that Nii Satoru-sensei is good at writing complex characters such as Tsubakino.

Story Arc, Characters & Operation
As for how this story arc will be executed, I believe it will cover topics such as feminism, struggles of womanhood and mistreatment of women.
Moving on to how this sukeban operates, here's my input. I believe everything they do is the complete opposite of Bofurin. E.g. instead of protecting their own town, they protect themselves. This is because the town they live in is also the complete opposite of Makochi, hostile and narrow-minded.
*I just thought of making this sukeban the complete opposite of Bofurin because I think it's interesting to see their reactions. It's also hilarious because the opposite of a boy gang is a girl gang. Get it? Okay, I'll stop.*
I also believe maybe this sukeban and its base can act as a sanctuary for women of its town who were mistreated by men such as giving them food, shelter etc.
I believe the overall vibe that they give is going to be like the military instead of high school.
As for their leader, maybe she'll be the opposite of Umemiya, stoic and serious. However, it is interesting if she was a good leader like Umemiya because so far we've only seen bad leaders in Wind Breaker.
As for their gang name, maybe it will be associated with elements such as water or space. This is because the other gangs e.g. Bofurin 防風鈴 is named after the wind element, Noroshi 狼煙 is named after the fire element, Gravel and Shishitoren 獅子頭連 are named after the earth element along with KEEL is named after or related to the metal element.
*I know that Shishitoren are named after animals but animals are also related to Earth sooo*
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is just a random thought of mine that I just want to share. If Nii Satoru-sensei doesn't include a story arc that talks about girl gangs, I won't be disappointed or upset as long as he writes a good story.
*P.S.. this is my first time ranting about an anime so feel free to critique or educate me if I've made a mistake. Also, I still have some opinions regarding this sukeban idea so should I create a part 2?*
"It's raining."
You stick your hand out into the falling rain, cold drops plopping into your palm. the air smells fresh, a hint of musty wet leaves on the cool breeze. The sky is gray, the sun hiding behind the thick whirling clouds.
"Really?" Umemiya breathes, in a playfully incredulous tone. He cups your cheek gently, the warmth of his calloused hands radiating under your blushing cheeks. He turns your face to look into his eyes, and they soften, like like sinking into a soft bed at night.
You can smell the tea on his breath, minty, no doubt from the small mint plant he's been reviving in the garden out back. It calms you instantly, makes you fall out of the whirlwind of thoughts cascading through your mind to drive up your stress levels.
But with Ume, in this moment it's quiet, tranquil. The rain pools in your palm, washes away the doubt and insecurity you were previously reveling in, and Ume..stays by your side, engrossed in your beauty.
"I hardly noticed..." he replies bending down to touch the tip of his nose to yours," How could I when I'm standing next to the sun?"
new dad!katsuki bakugo x fem reader.
a/n: aaaAH! i know i might have mistyped his personality a little bit but i got so excited.
despite the pain you were in, this was heaven. it was a dream come true when you saw your husband holding your little baby, when he carried her carseat out, and how tender he was with her.
she was perfect. she had the prettiest blonde hair, thick and curly which hadn't been expected. your eyes were practically glued to her during the hospital stay. though katsuki already kicked in protectiveness into gear, not allowing her to leave the room unless he accompanied them. he's heard too many stories about babies being switched or just taken.
it was a week after and you two were so, very confused. she had slept through every. single. night. without an issue. the doctor you guys had visited to check on both you and her found nothing to be wrong. she was perfectly healthy, she just found her perfect rhythm. of course you had to make a bottle up and feed her every few hours, though not being extremely sleep deprived was really beneficial.
katsuki took wonderful care of both you and hayami. he was terribly stubborn in everything, especially with you getting up. he wanted to make sure you were as comfortable as you could be. he would pick you up half the time you needed anything, grumbling something about 'don't be an idiot'.
some of your favorite moments of the day are when the three of you woke up a little earlier than normal. it had been cloudy the past 3 days so you guys would spend the morning outside. this morning was no different.
katsuki had brought out a cup of tea and a bottle for hayami, quickly going inside to grab what remained. he returned with two plates of food, the smell absolutely divine. he set them on the table infront of you, motioning to give him the baby. with a small rag settled against his shoulder, he sat down carefully with the little one in his hands.
"eat before it gets cold, baby." he mumbled, giving you a look before his attention shifted. he looked down at the small baby nestled in the crook of his arm, nothing but love in his eyes.
he grabbed the bottle, giving it a quick shake before angling it into her mouth. once she took to it, he nodded and hummed.
"look, great eater like her mama." he said proudly, nodding at your already half eaten plate. he chuckled as you swatted a hand at him, knowing he was right.
"she gets it from you too. you cook great and eat just as good." you hummed, trying to defend yourself playfully. he simply rolled his eyes at you and focused back on the baby.
once the little one had finished, he held her again his chest, patting her back gently. as he did this, he leaned forward slightly, looking between you and his food. you got the idea as you started to feed him, quiet thanks coming through each bite.
eventually everybody had eaten, katsuki holding your hand as he leaned back. he held hayami against his chest, his right hand settled on her back. she slept peacefully as you two talked quietly. the sight before you was one the would be everlasting.
the strong scent of vanilla hit his nostrils as he gripped the sides of your waist. his face was nuzzled into your neck, while his hands focused on caging you down onto him. sleep was never easy for gojo, he always had something on his mind. and even when he didn’t it still wasn’t possible for him to get any rest. how could he sleep when he had such a beautiful wife to gaze at?
he was fascinated with every little thing about you. the way your bottom lip curled into a pout when you slept, or how your eyebrows would furrow up as if you were mad.
gojo could go on and on about the smallest of details when it came to you. you were his everything. and also the reason he could never get any sleep, he was too busy being allured by your beauty.
“my beautiful..” he trailed off, leaving soft kisses on your neck, so soft because he didn’t want to wake his gorgeous goddess. “beautiful wife..” now his hands were in your hair, gently soothing your scalp.
the biting didn’t start until he got bored of playing in your hair. gojo’s teeth grazed your neck ever so lightly before slowly sinking in, not enough to hurt you but enough for you to feel it, causing you to stir in your sleep.
his lips sucked at the bite mark offering the irritated skin a sense of relief. the hand that was on your waist, binding you to him was now inside of your shirt, soothing the skin of your back as if you were a baby. his baby.
“i love you s’much my princess, you’re never leaving me okay? our souls are tied for life,” he spoke so softly as he left one last bite, but this time it was to your cheek. and even though you were asleep.. your body seemed to somehow answer for you.
your hand lightly slapped against his cheek, fingers hitting the lids of his eyes. gojo couldn’t stop the low chuckle bubbling from his throat as he gave your sleeping form one last smile before replying.
“im glad ya’ understand mama.”

warning. fem! reader, very very suggestive, gojo want to eat you up, mdni
stay in your apartment doing a lazy night together with your best friend, gojo satoru is all fun and games until he's begging to eat your pussy out.
you were on your bed with him one second and you're blinking and he's already on top of you, cage you between his tone thighs— thighs that you've been having fantasy about how it feels if you're riding it and cum.
“come on, y/n, just this one time,” he pleading, voice muffled because he's lips full between your harden nipples.
his hands skillfully peel your clothes one at the time, before another one, another one, and another one. licking, nibbling, and sucking at every skin he could reach without breaking eye contact with you.
“w-what if someone's walk-in?” you ask, breathlessly. “suguru and shoko will be— oh fuck!— here in a-a minutes,” you speak between your moaning when satoru press his thumb to your clothed clitoris— already soaking wet and ready for him.
“come on, they will be late,” he hummed against your thigh— two muscular arms wrap around and spread your legs wide for him. his blue eyes glistened with lust and hunger. you laugh a little, knowing that satoru always finds a way to you. “just a moment, i'll be quick, promise,” he mutters in your clit, fingers find yours to intertwined.
“just let me eat this sweet, sweet pussy of yours and i'll be happy for the rest of my life,” he continued, the tip of his tongue slowly licking your wet fold from outside of your underwear.
In light of a Memos update coming veeeerrrryyyyy sooooooon (to the reader who asked for an update because today was their birthday, i’m sorry i wasn’t able to make it :( but i promise i’ll make it up to you! hope you had an amazing one <3)
A flurry of bodies rushed past her legs, nearly toppling her over. Hoku wobbled, grabbing the wooden pillar of the shop beside her before she could fall flat on her face. She scowled, whirling around with one hand curled into a fist. “Hey! Stupid brats, watch where you’re going! You could get someone killed!”
“Sorry, lady!” one of the boys hollered, breaking out into a chorus of laughter as they ran. The smallest one tripped, forcing the other two to brake on their heels. They quickly rushed back, hauling him up by his arms and running away with him in tow.
Hoku stopped at the sight, fist loosening in the air. She felt a little quiet all of a sudden, staring at their backs as the three boys laughed, heads tossed high and smiles bright until they disappeared entirely from sight.
“Hoku, you’re too slow!”
“Put more effort into it!”
“We’re gonna leave you behind!”
“My star, is something wrong?”
Hoku’s fingers uncurled from her fist. She dropped her hand back down to her side, staring after the empty space between the crowd.
No. She thought back, reaching behind her to touch Mau’s hilt before she shook her head, turning toward the shop and stepping inside. “It’s nothing.”
Hoku fixed the tie under her chin. Her hood stayed well in place, hiding the bright white hair she’d tucked away for the sake of a little stealth. The island ought to be fine for now since she was just picking up supplies before her next raid, but she couldn’t be too careful. I have to think ahead. I have to be smart.
There wasn’t anyone else around to do it for her.
