my friend who hasn’t seen the maze runner and knows nothing about it but knows i write fanfiction on it just sent me this on twitter and…well damn

you know, I actually find aris quite handsome, like it's just that when you have the main characters looking like snacks it takes most of the attention but ayo??

Aris when he was escaping the maze with group B -

Thomas: You know that voice in your head that tells you what you're doing is wrong?

Chuck: You mean the one that sounds like Alby

Thomas: It sounds like Newt to me but yes

okay so y'all know this dumbass blooper of these two being idiots and all

could u imagine how much worse this scene would have hurt if thomas actually carried newt like that?? it would have fucking broken me i stg

i think i would have actually just burst into tears like deadass i wouldnt be able to handle it

this scenes stepped on me, kicked me in the stomach, body slammed me down a hill covered in knives and then throw me in the fucking ocean with stones attached to my legs.

I just watched the entire Maze Runner trilogy and I think it is one of the most egregious cases of “should have been a gay romantic tragedy” that I’ve ever seen fhdjksks

Like obviously lots of movies are guilty of this, but what gets me is they didn’t even try to make Thomas and Teresa a convincing pairing. All they did was put her there and say “here she’s the love interest because we said so.” Not even an iota of effort was put in to show us why they were supposedly in love. Newt played the role of a typical love interest in every other aspect. I have never seen a movie fail so hard at a no homo in my LIFE.

And then they have the audacity to end the movie with Thomas reading what is basically a love letter from Newt. But they threw in a “mate” at the end to the indicate that it’s not gay and they were just buds. Unbelievable.
