your writing does not have to be outstanding or exceptional. seriously, I read books all the time with just average writing, maybe some of the minor characters are one dimensional and cliched, maybe the dialogue is a little cheesy, maybe the plot is a little shaky, but the characters and their dire situation have hooked me. your story doesn’t have to be 5 stars to be worth writing and sharing and it will find the people who will love it.
I think I finally understand why people write fanfiction. it’s so aggravating when a piece of media doesn’t engage with its premise - like maybe the implications were too dark, maybe if we followed it to its logical conclusion the main character would be irredeemable, maybe it’s too complicated, maybe it’s too flavourful (weird, horny, unflattering) so we only get a liiiitle bit of it sprinkled on top of an otherwise generic story
whatever the reason, we end up with a diet lite homogenized version of what the initial story promised us. it makes me pace around my house biting at my thumb, going “no…..no it could’ve been better…..I could’ve made it better…..”

In which our heroine, Penelope, gets roped into a time travelling journey.
Paris Tutorial: How did I wind up in this mess?
Episode 1: I'm not feeling up to this...
Episode 2: What's truly important to me?
Episode 3: I've been on the wrong side this whole time!
Episode 4: Time to start being a hero again!
Episode 5: Now comes the part where I pull my weight...
Episode 6: And now the part where I redeem myself!
I've found quite a few Thieves In Time rewrites over the years. I can't help but imagine how some of them would play out if my premise (Penelope joining the adventure against her will) were introduced...
This is on top of all the other "What if?" scenarios I came up with on my own...
New refs???
A lot of rewrites will do one of two things with Penelope.
One route has her following canon and being straight up evil.
Another route has her being kidnapped and either blackmailed or brainwashed.
Thieves In Time Redux not only marries both routes (in that Penelope is responsible for the game's events, and escapes from a kidnapping situation), but also takes a third option. It has her dragged into the adventure so she can learn a lesson or two about friendship.
Just felt like uploading some old Bentley/Penelope fluff
I saw some footage from Playstation Move Heroes and I noticed that the Bentley design in that game included a hovering wheelchair. And I like to believe that this was his primary motivation for building it. …..yeah, I know. I’m a huge sap. ^_^;
are you ever concerned about the fact that nobody else wears pants in the gang but you
It got a little easier after we defeated Dr M and it was just Bentley and me.
Besides, Panda King wore pants! And even Guru wore pants… sort of…
((awkward timing for a nosebleed there, Bentley!))
