A group of rough looking boys walked past me today and all I heard of their conversation was “he’s got that anxiety disorder bro so I went with him so he’d be more comfortable” and it made me realise the world isn’t all that bad

As someone who primarily sees slugs and snails as nuisances (in some parts of my garden) or parts of a healthy ecosystem (in the rest of my garden) and most importantly not as pets or study objects... I'm not sure I'd have noticed this mutation, but I'm so glad that other people pay attention.

Oh My God This Person Found A Leopard Slug With Its Eyestalks Fused Together??? One Super Long Stalk

Oh my god this person found a leopard slug with its eyestalks fused together??? One super long stalk but it still has two eyes on the end. That's the cutest thing in the entire world. And then it had a ton of babies but JUST ONE baby inherited the mutation!!

Stay safe in the water

As someone that has grown up surrounded by beaches and done surf life saving, I know how the sea works. Lots of people dont. Every summer multiple tourists die here because they don’t respect the sea, if you’re going to the coast, here’s a thing I saw on Facebook.

As Someone That Has Grown Up Surrounded By Beaches And Done Surf Life Saving, I Know How The Sea Works.

Solid advice even for folk without ADHD. Especially those who have allowed their attention spans to grow short due to the endless stimulation from our devices.

Not to go "if you have ADHD just go for a run" or anything, but I am so serious if you have ADHD you should regularly go outside, no headphones no phone no nothing and just stand and observe for a while until you've had enough. Not until you get bored, until you've had enough. Drink your coffee without watching tiktok. Have a bath without music. Turn down the volume in your headphones. I cannot overstate how much learning to be bored is cruicial with ADHD. Life is not just about pleasure, no matter what your dysregulated dopamine system thinks, and when you teach your brain to be okay with being bored, then boring tasks stop feeling like torture. By letting yourself be bored you are yoinking your system out of the high/low binary and allow for the highs to feel like actual highs and not just anything that isn't low. I am so serious go literally touch grass. Listen to the sounds in your flat. Stimulate your body the way it was designed. It lowers anxiety and makes you feel like you're real and best of all it's completely free

Tell your family, your friends, your social media accounts, your colleagues, your unions and your managers. Tell your elected officials. Tell them this is not okay. I know it feels as though there's so much shit, and nothing is happening, but what we're seeing is not inevitable. People are acting. You can help. Start by talking about it. Find your local activists.

Not talking about it because no one wants to argue about politics, looks the same as quiet acceptance, even if you do so in despair.

It's really bad. Trump has literally posted "He who saves his Country breaks no Laws". That's King shit. It's a 5 alarm fire.

Don't just reblog. Think of a friend. Find 5 things in the list above that will directly affect them (tariffs, insulin, another potential pandemic, dangerous reduction in the staff who take care of the government's nuclear assets....). Gather your evidence. Then call you friend. Give them the above list. Ask them to do the same.

Consumer sentiment matters. Republicans WILL bend if enough people start being loud about their disapproval. Find your local activists and be part of saving what remains. If you don't do anything else yet at least check out Mark Elias's Democracy Docket for updates on where the legal stuff is at.

every single republican told us we were overreacting. trump swore he had nothing to do with project 2025 yet continues implementing details outlined in it. not a single person has the right to tell us we’re being dramatic anymore.

hope “cheaper eggs and gas” was worth it.

EDIT: i removed the “trump refused to swear on the bible” point because it was being taken as me being an offended christian. i’m not christian, im agnostic. the reason i included it in the first place is because he’s the first president in history to ever refuse to swear on ANYTHING. meanwhile his “conservative christian” followers had no issue with this, and decided to continue to scramble for excuses instead of admitting he may not be as religious as he claims he is. i figured taking that point out entirely is probably better than filling this with an explanation in the middle of the other important issues.
