Bruce often took you to what he referred to as work events, which were usually the type that only allowed in the rich and powerful and their spouses, significant others, family and friends, and while you enjoyed being at his side and giving him support during such situations, you never really much liked mingling with those who would kick you to the curb if they found out that your only connection to them was your boyfriend; of course, a man of your status, being the boyfriend of Gotham’s most prolific billionaire, the Prince of Gotham, did have some good consequences - you never had to worry about having a place to stay, nor did you have to worry about being able to eat every day, you didn’t have to worry about paying for dates or buying fancy gifts you couldn’t afford with your salary. But more importantly than all of that, you had a man on your arm who loved you, who would always check in on you periodically throughout events like galas and parties without even needing any prompting. He was always more than happy to leave early, more so if you gave him an excuse.
