Imagine Snape taking care of you (2-12)

- “They don’t need protection, the Dark Lord is gone.” Snape cried to Dumbledore when he confronted him about the death of your family.          

“And he will return, and the boy needs to be protected.”                             

“What of his sister?”                                                                                       

“She will stay with Sirius." 

- when Sirius was arrested Dumbledore brought you to Hogwarts, planning on making arrangements for you. That was when Snape first saw you, toddling the halls with Hagrid at two. 

 -"Is this…" 

"Yes Severus. Isn’t she a beauty?” Hagrid asked as you looked up at the professor with the greasy black hair, and long nose, a smile on your face as you reached up towards him. 

-He immediately went to Dumbledore and insisted that he be the one to look after you. When asked why he responded with, “She has her father’s eyes, but her mother’s personality." 

-Snape hid you very well from the death eaters, none of them knew that he was caring for a child, much less [Y/N] Potter, however as far as you knew your name was [Y/N] Black, which was to protect you from future Voldemort followers, and you were never told of your true origins. 

-when you turned five Snape decided to start teaching you the basics of potions, which you were very good at. He would love to watch you smile and giggle as you made the most simple potions. 

-You always sat at the teachers table, however you were seated by Hagrid, and while he tried to remain stern in front of the others, he couldn’t help but smile when he heard you refused to eat your vegetables. 

-Hagrid was always the second father-like figure in your life, this was because Snape didn’t want to risk the children of Death eaters discovering that you were Snape’s adopted daughter. However after hours you were solely Snape’s  

-You were the only one who could make Snape act soft, he never scolded you, or raised his voice to you, even when you accidentally blew up a potion. 

-when you were of age to be sorted he feared that you would end up in Slytherin, and much to his relief you were sorted into Gryffindor. 

-you were so scared that Snape would be disappointed that you weren’t a Slytherin, however when you expressed this to him, he told you a story of a little girl with green eyes. 

-He beamed with pride when you were the only first year who could make the potions he assigned, and who passed every test. He would even chuckle sometimes when you tried to assist the Weasley twins and Lee. 

-"Dad?" 

 "Yes [Y/N]." 

"That little girl you told me about… Was that my mother?” He closed his book slowly, “yes. It was." 

"And she was killed by…" 

"A dark wizard, one who…" 

"Am I Harry Potter’s sister?" 

 "Yes. You are." 

"And I am assuming that Sirius Black is not my real father?" 

"Yes." 

 "Am I in danger?" 

"No. I will never let anyone hurt you.” Snape said as you took a step forward and wrapped your arms around him. 

“I love you Dad.” You whispered as Snape teared up a little. 

“I love you too." 

-This was when Snape also revealed everything to you, from how he and Lily met, James teasing him, and everything beyond that point. 

-Every year for Christmas you and Snape would celebrate in the dungeon, which you decorated once all the students left, each year you would make your father a potion, while he normally bought you different ingredients to create potions with, However the year you figured out about James and Lily he made you a book much like the one Hagrid got for Harry. However yours also included photographs of you and him. It was the best present you had ever received.

-He later asked you how you figured it out, which was when you laughed a bit and said, “Hagrid told me.”

-He never forgave Hagrid for telling you…

-During the summer between your first and second year, you informed your father that you wanted to go spend some time over the summer with the Weasleys. He agreed. However he never knew how much he was going to miss you while you were gone. 

-When you returned he was overjoyed, and you told him all about the Burrow. 

-Soon you started spending time every break with the Weasleys. but made sure you still spent some time with Snape,

-When you got your period for the first time, he panicked and tried to make a potion to cure you, thankful Minerva explained everything to you, and informed you that Snape will some day get a grip on it. 

-You finally were able to get through to Fred and George how to make a decent potion, however you had no idea that they would use there new skill to prank students, and Snape.

-You were top of your class your second year, and Snape was so proud that you were his daughter.

Life as the elder sister of Harry Potter hasn’t been easy for as long as you can remember. If you weren’t attempting to shield Harry from the wrath of the Dursley’s, then you were trying to keep your brother alive from whatever new threat popped up inside of Hogwarts.

Of course your best friends, Fred and George, made your life somewhat easier, as had Mr. and Mrs. Weasley who started inviting you over to spend summers with them when Harry started attending Hogwarts as well.

The younger Weasley’s, the Potter’s and little Miss Granger were thick as thieves and the whole school knew it. You messed with one, you messed with all. And no one dared to cross you or the twins after a rather petty duel between Harry and the little prick Malfoy left Hermione on the wrong side of a curse and very humiliated. Snape’s obvious uncaring attitude towards it didn’t help at all and as a result.. a majority of the Slytherin’s woke up the following weekend to boils in some very embarrassing places.
