Why doesn’t anyone make any pirate movies anymore? I feel like people saw the Pirates of the Caribbean and then were just like, “Yep, this is it. This is all we’ve got.” I want adventures on the high seas with a crew that are all best friends, getting up to shenanigans together. I want danger and banter and beautiful sword fights. I want a romance of shipmates slowly falling in love as they fight alongside each other and relax together as they rock in the boat. I want a badass woman captaining a ship. I want the domestic pirate life, cooking and eating together, or sitting up on the rig with wind in their hair staring at clouds. I want late night celebrations after a battle. I want more pirates.

Omfg the second I post this they come out with a remake that is THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what I wanted

Can there please be a version of the magic school bus for college science classes, it would make my life 1000x better, it honestly would. Miss Frizzle please teach me pharmacology and atmospheric inversions, I need you.

Syndrome (The Incredibles) - Strived to overcome the differences between himself and people born naturally gifted with superpowers through discovery and innovation

Evelyn Deavor (The Incredibles 2) - Wanted people to strive for more than just ease and consumption, and have people be capable of taking care of themselves and experience their own life while dealing with trust issues due to her tragic past

Charles Muntz (Up) - Wanted to prove himself to be a great explorer and regain his dignity by finding the one thing that would redeem himself

Chick Hicks (Cars) - Was just being competitive and wanting to do his best to become accomplished, (although he was being quite a dick about it)

Randall Boggs (Monster’s Inc.) - Kind of the same as Chick Hicks, very competitive and strived to become top scarer and become better than the naturally gifted Scully

Lotso (Toy Story 3) - Was trying to cope with rejection and set up a system to protect himself from experiencing that hurt again

These are the ones I could think of and remember off the top of my head. Real good writing in these movies. Incredibles 2 hit me hard ngl, was a little too close too home.

The thing I love most about Pixar movies is how I understand all their villains and they are all relatable. I understand where they’re coming from and I feel sympathy for them. But it tears my heart apart because they feel like they need to take things to such an extent to be heard. Good motives, wrong methods.

I want Luz to do and Olaf type recount of what happened and Amity the entire time is just 😦

Amity: Which lead to a battle between you and Eda.

Eda: I would've won.

Amity: And during the battle you let slip that you cursed your sister.

Lilith: Not my finest moment.

Amity: Then you tried to murder Luz.

Amity: So if I'm right, you were almost turned to stone.

Eda: Yeah, that wasn't fun.

Lilith: Correct.

Amity: You lost your magic.

Eda: It'll take some getting used to.

Amity: And you two more or less organized an accidental rebellion in hopes they wouldn't turn Eda to stone...

Gus: They all agreed.

Amity: I MISSED ALL OF THAT?!

But what if the curse Lilith bought was planted???? Like, it’s too strong of a curse to just be out there among a ton of other scrolls just to buy so... what if someone planted it for Lilith to use? Idk by whom but like, it’s just too convenient you know?
