i’m a sucker for the “she fell first he fell harder” trope and i’m sitting here wondering why as if my childhood wasn’t defined by pjo and specifically percabeth
was almost worried fascist fanboy was about to get a redemption arc but no he found out his fascist girlfriend lied to him which meant the last 2 years of his work meant nothing, choked her out bc he's an incel, thought he was about to get a personal victory against cassian only to find out that his archnemesis has absolutely no fucking clue who he is bc he's irrelevant, and then gets headshotted by the billionaire tailor who he's been conning this whole time. FANTASTIC 10/10 NO NOTES.

Me trying to find the Stoll brothers in the Hermes cabin like it’s a game of “Where’s Waldo”:
I'm never gonna recover from this. They share something so special and intriguing. There barely was anyone around, no reason for her to put on the happy wife show. And yet there she is, stealing her husband's tea and sipping it with that look. I need to think about what this represents. That and followed by Perrin's "joy" speech... I think they did have feelings for each other. I don't think it was ever love, but they've known each other for so long now, they know very well how to make each other happy and each other miserable. And how they just dance around each other with that knowledge. I know a lot of people hate Perrin and frankly he's not my usual type of character but idk there's just something beautiful and tragic about them.

Otto :
Honestly the people who say that Aegon II is a good father because he didn't really touch his daughter under the pretext that she would be like Helaena are killing me in their bullshit.
There's no confirmation that his daughter hates being touched. She didn't have any type of startle when Aegon brought his hand closer and barely touched it. She acted like she didn't care about his presence or noticed her, just interested in her toys.
And I remind you that he just approached her to look for her son and when he saw that it wasn't him he had no interest in this kid and he is more than certain that the interest sudden decision that Aegon II bears to his son is only because he is now his heir to the throne.
Be reasonable, this guy doesn't even know that his son has lessons or even where...
For us, the theme of the season is really about 'true love being somewhere in between fantasy and reality'. —Jess Brownell, showrunner.
popping back in after like 6 months with this gem
I'm actually liking how they're handling Eloise's development in season 3. "I used to think it was just me" - she's realised there's more to the women/society around her and is making attempts to open up and expand her world, while staying true to her views. I look forward to seeing how they handle Cressida. "A woman is the greatest enemy of a woman" is one of my least fave tropes/stereotypes so expanding on why the villain is the way she is and exposing society for what it is (a battleground where women compete for financial security) is interesting. I thought Lord Debling looking for someone honest & true versus Cressida's frankness about the life she wants very interesting and I actually think they'd make a good couple with a little work. Anyways. No Theo to be seen and that is a tragedy but I will power through 😭😭😭
