a kind of continuation of my ‘hermes in his cowboy phase’ post
cause i want jimmy to stop being mean to that kid before i swat him with a newspaper! i will uncle-fy him myself if i have to
if tango is a blazeling and fire turns blue on soul soul does that mean he takes dust baths in soul soil for when he wants the icy look? like a chinchilla
Styled and everything!
Jimmy was doing just fine, thanks for asking.
It's not like, y'know, the few people who ever actually supported him were leaving.
He couldn't even blame them. Why would they want to hang around with the laughing stock of empires, the toy sheriff? He wouldn't want to hang out with himself either!
He just- it was nice. It was nice when Scar made a villager hall, just for him. When he built a whole train in tumble town, and a nice little village as well.
And Tango? Tango wasn't just nice (although he was very very very nice), Tango was amazing. Tango was wonderful and kind and smart and handsome and funny and creative and compassionate and so many things, and yet he chose to stay with Jimmy. Tango could have gone anywhere, done anything- hell, two other empires were already trying to get Tango to stay with them, and yet Tango chose Jimmy.
But now he wasn't. Now Tango was leaving because why shouldn't he? There's no soulbond to keep him at tumble town, so why would he stay? Everyone else decides he's not worth it, so why wouldn't Tango? What sign does he have that Tango would choose him again?
Except that Tango called the ranch his home. Except that Tango woke up early in the morning to feed the chickens. Except that whenever Jimmy slept past when Tango had to leave for Gobland, he left a note on the counter to say bye. Except that Tango spent what probably took hours getting Sing horns like they had back at the ranch.
Was it too far-fetched to think that Tango would choose to stay at tumble town- to stay with Jimmy? The hermits hadn't left yet, he could still ask him to stay. If Jimmy asked him, he might. But what if he still left? What if Jimmy begged Tango to stay, and he still chose to leave? Would the small chance that Tango might choose to stay be worth the much larger chance that he would reject him? Jimmy... Jimmy couldn't risk it. Everyone else turned on him. Everyone else tossed him aside for something new. And Jimmy didn't think he could handle looking Tango in the eyes when he inevitably turned away.
So he didn't ask. And Tango left.
oh too much pull i think
One of my favorite parts of zedaph's new episode is how grian was clearly just. SO pleased with himself about the knowledge he has from double life on how to move a player with a fishing rod
He heard that they had to move tango somewhere and he INSTANTLY pulls out the rod, like, he had it READY
Pearl is confused.
This is not a new thing: the hermits get up to bewildering shenanigans all the time, and with more people? It was only a recipe for disaster.
The new world was confusing too! With all the animals walking on two legs, the dodos and the goblins and all the other things in the new world, one was bound to get confused.
But Pearl knows how to go with the flow when weird things start happening, and she knows how to bounce off the confusion to create more chaos. She accepts the facts that there are rideable hogs and a llama barkeep and a toy sheriff with relative ease, and when hermitopia starts up she simply adds to the chaos.
This is a different kind of confused though. This one started off as a nagging worry that's only grown worse, and she can no longer ignore what's going on no matter how much she wants to. The problem is she can't figure out what's going on.
The God at stratos acted as if she belonged in the pantheon of the gods, the hero of the sanctuary greeted her by name with such reverence, and the bard called her a goddess and talked as if she had personally wronged him. She went through the weird rift in her cleaner lady getup and she came out wearing a dress, there was a statue of her and there were several murals.
But those things weren't the problem. The problem was that it felt right. She felt as if she belonged up in stratos, among the gods and the clouds. She felt right when she walked past the statues and the murals, and when she sat in the grass or walked in the stalks of wheat she felt stronger. And she met with Sausage and she felt far too much. She felt joy and sadness and hope and so much grief and laughter and she felt at home and she felt lost and she was so, so confused but he was a new person, a new face to meet and Keralis spoke well of him and first impressions matter and so at the time she had just shoved her emotions down to deal with later and greeted him as if she didn't already know him.
It was later now, and still nothing made sense and the wheat was still making her feel right strange and she was really regretting choosing to make the crop farms and she was couldn't figure out and she was so, so very confused.
But she was tired and the farm still had to be made, so she got up from the dirt and went to work.
I love that everyone's doing lore or on a break and Zedaph and Hypno have just noped off to the corner to have fun on their own worlds
patiently waiting for someone to come up with a full fledged au about grian’s robot children, grumbot, jrumbot, grumbot prime, and emperor grumbot, going on adventures ala the batfam or perhaps ducktales
I don’t go here but that was precious
Welcome to my next au, boatem in the apocalypse!
Summary: Five high schoolers try to survive the zombie apocalypse. What could go wrong?
And here's a snippet of what's to come!
The gun was lowered, and Scar glanced over at Grian with a questioning stare. Dark eyes met his green ones, and the avian almost imperceptibly shook his head. He had no idea what was going on then, either.
The man pulled off his gasmask, eyes wide. “You're Grian and Scar! From Hermitcraft High School?”
Scar's jaw dropped. “Impulse! No way- is that really you?”
“Dude!” Grian's face lit up. “We thought we were the only ones who survived!” He took a step forward, eyes pleading. “Have you seen my sister? Pearl? Long brown hair, moth wings, probably looking for me as well?”
Impulse shook his head. “Nope, sorry man. I've been keeping an eye out for anyone but... that explosion was pretty big.” His voice choked up. “...I had to dig Joel and Lizzie out of the rubble.”
Grian and Scar bowed their heads, silent in grief. They hadn't really known the two, but still... losing people you knew still hurt, even in the apocalypse.
Hi there, I'm new! Pearl main and just general hermit craft follower. Nice to meetcha!
