Bit of a rant but high school be like

Me in 7th grade: oh God, my first F?!? Oh no what am I gonna do??? I usually just have A's and B's, but an F?? I'm gonna die

Me now, as a junior: wow, my GPA's at 2.6? That's pretty good! I'm still gonna have to retake English next year, but at least my grades are looking better!

Concept: a generic nightclub, except every hour (can be more often), one of those songs from a middle school dance starts playing. Cupid's Shuffle, Macarena, you know it.

A Very Simplified Overview Over The 3 Diagnosable Types Of ADHD. It’s Highly Likely That You Have Symptoms

A very simplified overview over the 3 diagnosable types of ADHD. It’s highly likely that you have symptoms from across the spectrum and not exclusively “hyperactive” or “inattentive” - that’s why I see ADHD( and ADD) as one big family. Look up the DSM-V for the actual symptom list!

Screw it. I'm gonna rant now. I haven't done much research so if I'm wrong on any of this correct me.

This is why I hate the whole "I'm gonna wreck his car and ruin his life because he cheated on me" mindset. It isn't "badass" to respond to wandering eyes with ILLEGAL VIOLENCE.

In general, this "psycho girlfriend" trope isn't okay. It's not healthy to go through a guy's phone to see if he's cheating. It's not healthy to need to know where he is all the time. That just means you don't trust him, and what's the point of being in an untrustworthy relationship? But some people think it's "cute," and support it instead of actually providing help. And then shit like this happens. Families are ruined, parents and godparents and grandparents all mourn for sons and children lost to a "cute cliche."

The women who killed these men and children were obviously not in a good mindset. And I do admit I didn't look at every link, so I don't know if there was a legitimate reason, if it was insanity or mental illness, or if the women really was that cruel. But ugh I just. Saying "if you look at another women, I'll rip off your dick and feed it to the dog" is an extremely unhealthy trope that has lasted way too long. It's not good for either genders. I jst. DON'T HARRASS OR HURT PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE YOU GOT HUFFY.

This is toxic. This isn't an example of a badass independent woman. This is just as toxic as the reverse, and both need to stop being encouraged by society. If he cheats, just leave the guy. If you're paranoid, tell him. And if you don't believe him at all or if you're crush rejects you, then maybe you didn't belong with him in the first place. But don't be drastic. It really isn't cute.

Sorry I got upset, but it's important.

The Atlas personality, drawing on the myth of the giant Atlas from Greek mythology upholding the world, is typically found in a person who felt obliged during childhood to take on responsibilities (extending beyond normal household chores or looking after siblings) such as providing psychological support to parental figures, often in a chaotic family situation.

They are thus liable to develop a pattern of compulsive caregiving in later life.

The result in adult life can be a personality devoid of fun,

image

and feeling the weight of the world on their shoulders.

image

Depression and anxiety,

image
image

as well as over-sensitivity to others

image
image

and an inability to assert their own needs, are further identifiable characteristics.

image

In addition, there may also be an underlying rage against a parent for not having provided love, and for exploiting the child for their own narcissistic needs.

While Atlas personalities may appear to function adequately as adults,

image
image
image

they may be pervaded with a sense of emptiness and be lacking in vitality.
